oops sorry I got it wrong, its 2 deposits not 3. $5000 on signing contract and $5000 before the wedding. No choice la, we gotta pay as they are giving 1 complimentary table for min 18 tables, per pax cost works out to be quite reasonable. I think the new themes will be out by mid Jan for the BPWs wedding show.
 
1 complimentary per 18tables? thats quite attractive. when i signed up that time, they only give 1 complimentary table per 22tables.

quite curious to find out what new themes NCQ's gonna come up with...
 
Thomas, being quite slack at the moment... Ps end of the month and hopefully all e parents guest lists will be fixed after CNY. Got my Jia zhuang stuff already but not the GDL stuff... Still thinking if i Should leave it to him or arrange for it as well...

i went to get the GDL stuff with my HTB.. dun think he noes what to buy..
 
joyle, i got the baby bath tub, pee pot, basin, the sewing kit, the face towels .... den the dried seeds, the shops normally pack it up for u. oops forgot, the tea set and the bowl set..

thats about it....

whh bridal shop are u with? some of them do only meet up w u when nearer the date.. my BS was ok with my dilly dallying.. i took almost 1/2yr to decide my evening gown design & material..

That's strange as I know that for Novotel, they allow me to change their menus, though there is a price difference if we change certain dishes. Maybe they change the package offer.

joyle, the bowl set is for the tang yuan or for hokkien, mee suah....

the basins, i bought for fun lah... anyway, can use for washing next time...
 
Hi jingying, i think maybe can change your food item but need to do topup? cuz i try not to provide shark fin soup in my wedding banquet. Save the shark! =P I know some hotels give a list of food item per course so that you can have more choices. I'm not sure what they used to offer thou...

FYI, The themes are meant for the bigger ballroom only. (min 30 tables) Boo! =(
 
Joyle- ya having rom in e same day as well. Finally booked my gown fitting date w my BS. Hope things will go smooth! I wan to get rid of my fats on my shoulder arms area, tummy. Any tips to share? I tried to go on diet n running b4 but only reduce my kg but not target area... How Eh?

Happy tt got new theme!! But no pics wor..

hi gals, which themes u find its nice? personally i prefer the purple theme or the garden theme. but seems that the stage decor is abit bare. what are yout thoughts?
 
wow, they increased their prices for all the menus by so much...wedding is indeed a lucrative business. Goes up but never comes down haha.
 
Jingying - having abt mins 30 tables. I hope they can change the shark fin soup to something else (at no cost) haha! how many tables do u need?

I wanna slim down too. tried running and swimming but find it hard to maintain it as a routine.

Wentan - I want the purple silver theme too! Cuz it's me and htb favourite colour. I went to the BOWS too but nv look clearly at the new theme.

Everyone booking for 2011 or 2012??
 
jingying - i dunn think shark fin is the most expensive de... shall discuss with them when the date is nearer. btw ur wedding is within this year or next year?

eg. if the soon hock dish is $120... and u wanna change to red garoupa which is $150.. den u need to top up $30 per table..

anyway, the themes was shown as the background poster for novotel's booth... den we get to see the photos of the set-up of the ballroom from their ipad..

actually when I look thru other hotel's backdrop, it's quite standard, quite plain.. just the drapes of cloth that makes it look "filled" up..

i hope I can get a theme that suits what I'm wearing..
 
I guess will hv to go down and view the new themes for the upcoming mar weddings onward where they will be having the new theme decor.

just went for food tasting today.. my dad went "ok", "not bad lah"... told him no category for that, dunno how to gauge..

i'll be going down again to check out the themes.. sneak peeked into the ballroom, saw that they still having the crystal and floral arches kept there, maybe still in use...

aft awhile, we gave up on food as first priority.. cos' the restaurants that we like, ballrm nt big enuff.. then the food we like, some friends got other comments, bad experience...

all down to what u like and what u get that will make u happy.. quite a struggle initially..
