Hi all,
Jus received a call today that Jean is leaving MC. Will be passing my wed coordination to a new personel coming in. Should I be requesting for Micheal or Jennifer then? Really not sure if I should.

Very surprised to hear that Jean is leaving MC. Me & FH were thinking of going down to pay for the deposit. Is Mic or Jennifer better?

Hi Miki, MC package is currently valid till Mar06. From the last time i spoke to the coord, if you want to book in advance before their package is released, have to pay an additional $30+++ each table.

I think I will stick to MC. Just called them yesterday and Aaron is taking over the coordination. Not sure if he is okie....
 
Hi Elmo, i talked to Aaron before. He is quite nice. I introduced a friend of mine to Aaron and she also find Aaron pretty nice

hi people, is it possible to hold ard 30 tables at MC on a sat? my FH and I really like MC but we do not ve so many guests to invite. any other alternatives?

Base on your dealing with him, is he a responsible & reliable person?

I have dealed with aaron personally and my FH and i were rather frustrated because of some hiccups in the process and we were very unhappy over the things. have to "force" him to admit his mistakes. we hope to change coordinator tmrw. wld reommend jennifer cos after readin this forum. but dunno approach, feel a bit paisei.

Who wld u recommend we change our coordinator to? i hope my FH and i wld be able to change to Jennifer or some1 nicer, cos everytime i see Aaron, really v frustrated and feel very tired after the sessions of negotiating and after reading the threads, i also abit scared that he will delay cos i not v ke4 qi4 towards him when he refused to admit his mistakes.
 
Hi Ash, ever since my coordinator left, I am also not sure who is taking over my profile. Me also hoping to see if you gals here got any good recommandation on the ppl there. I do understand its very frustrating to face ppl we cun communicate with, so if I were you, I'll try my comm session with Jennifer and see if I can work with her on the wedd prep.
 
hi hi everyone how is the service? i called them and the person who picked up the phone said they were all not in and will call me back. Since then it's been more than 2 days and nobody called me... :-(

My friend have a wedding banquet package on 1st May 2005 at Merchant Court for Transfer. The package cost $28K for 38 Table, but willing to absord 5k! and let go at 23K. Those who are serious to take over the package, can negotiate further. Pls call 9 6926334 (Lim) or email to [email protected].

I have met up with Aaron and true enough tt he had left the Hotel n Andy took over the account. However, we decided not to take up the offer w MC cos they are really rigid in giving perks. Quite disappointed cos I have always like the hotel and ballroom.

Another worry is tt they kept changing coordinator and I scared tt our wedding will not run smoothly then....imagine the amt of $$$ we hv to pay.

i've spoken to Andy.. he's pretty new and can't make much decision. perks are not fantastic and very rigid too.. ask for a change in menu and the price quoted for each change is too much!! really like the ballroom though.. sigh...

Thanx for the contact. I have contacted Swee Lim already. I will be meeting her on Monday to take a look at the ballroom and hopefully the bridal suite. Well, does anyone have any advise for me? Anything I should look out for?

Hi All,

I also shortlisted Merchant Court as my venue for my Big Day. Went down to the hotel, seems like sales manager not interested in further negiotiated with us on the package. How is the food there.....?? heard from certain forum that their standard has dropped a lot. what abt service wise.....?? anyone has any idea.....??

I wanted to know more abt their packages, but got a bit disappointed with the staffs......

Anyone has any experience to share...???

vonvon, hi, I am also intending to set my customary wedding dinner in Dec 2006 and shortlisted MC as I had been there before, the food, atmosphere are good. Haven really meet the sales manager yet. Are they really so unfriendly? I will be very disappointed.....Maybe second tots..

Yah, went there....quite sad lor....anyway me found my venue..me settled with furama city centre. the hotel beside MC....the ambience there not bad...ballroom quite nice & with LED lighting...package also not bad.....

A lot of ppl saying merchant court standard dropped already. esp food....which i am very concerned...so i make sure i tell my coordinator that i want the best food on that nite, hehehe.....

Anyway, these are up to individual opinion....feel free to update me on any news...hehe.....we still can discuss on other topic.......hehe

Yeah, no prob, thx for sharign ya opinions. It will help me broaden my choices and look at more hotels...actually Mandarin and Grand Corpthorn are also in my list...

Jennifer called just now to say today's her last day... and that my rom account will be handed over to Andy. Erm, after reading the tread, realised he might be a bit erm 'unflexible'. I'm not sure if i can chg the coord. Anyone tried before?

Kinda worried after readng the posts here...
 
yup, she also called my fiance today and mention that it will be her last day. we had a pretty bad exp with andy, so skywolf, mayb u wld like to take other coordinators.

I have just signed up with Merchant Court!

Those interested can contact Swee Lim. She is the sales manager who lias with me after Aaron left and she is quite prompt in replying to emails.

Yes i must admit that they are relatively restrictive in giving out Perks but from what i have heard from many, their service is still good, and food wise, though standard have drop, its still not bad.

MC has a nice ballroom & it is beside the River, away from the bustle of the city.

Was happy to hear u r a supporter of MC despite critics of the management lately. I will be contacting them soon and heard Swee Lim is a very friendly person. DO you have her contacts and email?

By the way, may I ask when ya AD is? Is the min really 38 tables? Did ya managed to get anythg out of the standard package? So sorry for so many questions but I am really excited!
