Hi Master Tong,

Can we invite friends and relatives to our wedding if the friends/relatives' wedding is less than 3 months apart from us?

Also, what are the consequences if we do so? Harmful to us and our friends/relatives?

Groom birthdate: 16/12/1981 rooster
Bride birthdate: 04/09/1988 dragon

Groom mother: Dragon
Groom father: Rabbit

Bride mother: Horse
Bride father: Monkey

Please advise me if this date is okie. Otherwise can you advise me another date in nov/dec sat?

Groom's dad: 26 August 1955 (Goat)

We originally planned for ROM to be on 23.01.2013 and 15.02.2014 for banquet coz we heard snake is generally NOT a gd year for marriage.

Please advise.

Hi Yueling

Within 100 days before and after your/their wedding, cannot attend other's wedding, else the person that goes to get the bad luck.

that day clashes to Rabbit, hence cannot be used

The tong shu/almanac will only be out after 7th mth, so can only check after that if u looking at general good dates only.

Yes perfectly fine for you, especiall groom. bride is neutral. So no problem you can do it in 2013. If you can wait, 2014 will be good for both of you, based on zodiac.

My fiance & I would like to get married on both an auspicious day & in an auspicious year. I understand that 2013 is the year of the Snake is not the greatest for my fiance, the Snake. Please suggest auspicious days in 2014. We are looking to put a deposit on locations by Jan 2013.

These 2 dates 18 May 2013, 01 June 2013 doesnt clash to anyone in your family. But if you are looking at general tong shu dates, the tong shu will only be out after 7th lunar mth, so have to wait till out to check

The tong shu/alamanc for 2014 will only be out next year 2013 Aug/sept period. If you are looking at only general good dates, can only check next year. Right now, the only way and correct way is using Bazi to calculate the 2014 dates but i do charge for it as it is part of my consultation services, else will be unfair to my paying clents.

Hi Master Tong,

I would like to have my wedding on the 30th March 2013, but it will just be a wedding dinner and tea ceremony. The prayers will come later.

My mum is concerned that the 4th of April is Qing Ming and it will not be good for me. Is that just superstitious or should I be concerned about it?

I would like to hold my ROM on 10.11.12 and my sis is expected to birth deliver on Dec 12. Will there be an problem if she attend my ROM or is there any way to avoid the clash?

2014 is fine as it doesnt clash to both of you. All you need is a good date, but if you are looking at general tong shu dates for 2014, it will only be out next yr after 7th lunar mth. to b frank, by then, all the hotels will be long sold out! The only way and correct way to do it now is using bazi to select.

It is our chinese customs/superstiton that we should not hold wedding during Qing ming mth (3rd lunar mth) as well as 10 days before Qing Ming (sweep tomb period). 30/3 falls under sweep tomb period. Hence generally no chinese will hold wedding during this period

Usually 100 days before and after your wedding, you cannot attend other pple's wedding, wakes and childbirth (meaning day 1 till full mth, your cannot meet). Hence by right is cannot. U can't work around this, just whether you want to follow this chinese belief or not

Is ROM (strictly sign certificate of marriage) consider wedding in Chinese belief or I should put the above into consideration only during my customery wedding (敬茶) in year 2014?

Need your help to advise which day in Dec is a more preference date for ROM.

Bride : Dragon 1976
Groom : Pig 1971
Groom Parent: Pig (for both)

Witness: Dog and Ox

Weekday will be more preferred.

You can see each other, but cannot attend each other's wedding if it falls within 3 mths. Hence usually siblings don't get married close to each other!!

ROM is the day u offically become husband and wife, hence it is very important to choose a gd date for it

Thanks alot for your advice. But tong shu for 2014 will only be released some time around this period next year. If i am targeting for 1st or 2nd quarter wedding, i wont be able to use tong shu to get the date as by then the banquet might be fully book. And the only way is through bazi right?

As getting married in 2013 is my mil's suggestion so by looking at zodiac, it is better to get married in 2014. Should i still go have a look at the tong shu for 2013 date? Will there still be any good dates for us to choose?

2013 is beter as 2014 horse yr clashes to Rat. If you looking at only general dates, the tong shu is not out till after 7th lunar mth. Right now only way is to use bazi to select as the tong shu are just generic dates, for mass public only and not accurate enough. Bazi dates are personalised and selected based on both your birth data
