Hi Master Tong,

Need your advice on the following dates for our wedding. Which is a more suitable date 11/11/2012, 17/11/2012, 25/11/2012, 30/12/2012?

Is it really no suitable date for us to wed in 2012 - year of snake?

Groom: Pig
Groom's Mum: Rooster
Groom's Dad: Goat

Bride: Ox
Bride's Mum: Snake
Bride's Dad: Rabbit

The reason is very simple.Those who really know will not pick that month. Those who don't know, will not know.

That mth is 8th lunar month. "by right", it should b a hot month every year. But for this yr, it is different. This yr, that month will clash with the year, we call it the Year Breaker month. Hence going by authentic date selection (not based on chinese superstitions or customs), it is not good as the qi for that month is not good.

there is no work around solutions in date selection. It is either you choose that date or not to choose that day

Hi Lina

As i mentioned in my previous post, the tong shu for 2012 is not out yet till 7th lunar mth. Right now all my date selections are based on bazi, not tong shu. tong shu is as good as none. It is just a generic guide only. Not specific to individual.

These are the only dates that don't clash (it is not a general good date yet as the tong shu is not out, so i can only check for you if it clashes or if it is a very bad date)

Hi Kerl

The tong shu is not yet for 2012 till 7th lunar mth. Now the only way is to use bazi to calculate, which is the right way. By the time the tong shu is out, most wkend dates for most hotels will be gone. Now it is already very hard to book weekend date for 2012 as most of the clients already secured their venue long ago. FYI, i'm already giving 2012 dates since last yr this time. I will be giving 2013 dates next month onwards.

Hi parisbubble

The timing still matters as it is the fetch the bride timing.

Actually when you or your mil first get the dates, the timing should be given as well, so that you can plan for it and decide if you want use that date, and not get the dates first and timing later coz for some dates, the morning timings may not be good.

Hi FY

Snake yr clashes to Pig, hence those born in Pig year are not so suitable

All 3 dates don't clash to anyone. Will have to wait till tong shu is out to check if it is a general good date or not

My wedding date is on 3 Dec 2011. I was given a timing to step out of the bride's house at 7am. Both groom and bride must step out of bride's house at 7am. Is there other later timing?

Bride parents - Dragon, Goat
Bride - Rat

Groom's parents - Rat, Horse
Groom - Rat

We intend to hold the ROM and wedding between Sep and Dec 2012. Will it be a good year for us to get married in 2013 instead?

1) Bride (Tiger, 5 May 1986)
Dad's Chinese Zodiac Sign: Rat
Mum's Chinese Zodiac Sigh: Tiger

2) Groom (Goat, 13 June 1979)
Dad's Chinese Zodiac Sign: Horse
Mum's Chinese Zodiac Sign: Dog

Actually for that day, the best timing for fetch the bride will be 9am-11am. 7am-9am will do as well, but not the best

- 31/08, 06/09, 18/10, 03/11, 08/11, 02/12, 19/12

* Note that these are general dates only and a good date in the tong shu can still turn out to be inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible.

For 2012 dates, the tong shu is not out yet till ard Aug period. Now the only way to select it will be using Bazi. Tong Shu are generic dates only as a good date in the tong shu can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible.

Groom: 23 Jan 1980
Groom's Dad: 19 Aug 1946
Groom's Mum: 31 May 1949

Bride: 15 March 1985
Bride's Dad: 15 Feb 1954
Bride's Mum: 28 Sept 1965

We would like to have our wedding & customary in March - June 2013. Would 2013 be a good year for us in general? Thanks.

We do not want to have our customary first.

As the Thong Shu will not be out so soon, like to know if this date is in anyway good or harmful for us.

We need to book the hotel soon, thus hope you can assist us on the calculation.

For your ROM, that day is a "Po Ri", a super bad date for wedding or any impt activities. plus it clashes to Rabbit, hence cannot be used. If you can change it will be good to change.

For your AD, it happen that you also book on another "Po Ri", which is a super bad date.

Hence both dates are pretty bad!

by right, 2012 is a bad yr for wedding for groom and dragon yr clashes to him (dog). Hence avoid next yr if possible.

If not, 24/3 is in the Qing Ming 3rd lunar mth, Hence cannot be used.

The tong shu for 2012 is not out yet, hence i can't advise general good dates till it is out in 7th lunar mth. Right now, the only way is to use bazi to select, but as this is part of my consultation service, i can't give it free here, else will be unfair to my paying clients.

Yes, according to chinese beliefs, 100 days before and after your wedding, you cannot attend other's wedding, wakes and childbirth. If you go, it is believed there will be clash of luck and you will get the bad luck

Right now, the only way and correct/authentic way is to use bazi to select. Tong Shu date is meant for mass consumption only and not accurate.

Strictly speaking, by right siblings cannot get married on the same year. If really no choice, it must be at least 100 days apart. Some paretns believe in 4 mths. It is believed that if you violate this belief, the relationship between 2 of you will turn sour after marriage.

Hi master tong, appreciate if u can advise whether 11-dec-11 is a good day for solemnisation n wedding for us:

GROOM INFO:
Groom: 12-feb-1985 ( dint know rat or ox )
Dad: horse
Mum: monkey

BRIDE INFO:
Bride: 10-mar-1985 ox
Dad: 4-2-1951 ( don't know rabbit or tiger)
Mum: snake

Thank for the reply. As it is the very best friend of mine. Both of us don't really mind in attending each other wedding. I understand is a chinese belief. According to Feng Shui is it normally come true if the couple attend people wedding in less than 100 days?
