Cheryl, My AD is on 16/12/07. Have confirmed to signed with MM and placed deposit. Finally settle with the biggest "burden".
Rod thanks for the website. The deluxe suite is not listed on it. I had requested my coordinator to send the pics of the suite to me. Just like everyone's comment, the suite is really nothing to wow abt.

Thanks i received ur email..but before i saw ur email, i already signed up with french bridal last sat when i went to sign the contract with MM.. haha.. quite an impulsive decision.. coz din really source around for other bridal package.. thus hope it will turn out well.. pray hard...

Yes! We will be wed same day... So exciting! will your solemnization be on the same day or before that? Mine will be at the hotel, in a function room I managed to get complimentary from Fiona. Had asked about holding it at the pool area, but that will add extra cost, so decided not to...sob sob.. Maybe I'll drop by main ballroom and visit you on that night!

Where u heard about MM changing their wedding themes? I think that's very good news! hehe... Was there any mention of changing the wedding favours or wedding invites? I feel the ones they have now, are quite ordinary... and very limited choices for favours. I am thinking of sourcing for my own in BKK. I especially like glass coasters! Hilton had a better selection of invites and favours BUT their manager wasn't very nice when we met her...so me and FH din wan to sign with them.

Hey Joyce! Ya, same sentiments... For Hilton, did you meet with the manager also? For my meeting last year, I met with another lady, not the manager, she was very friendly and very very nice. We were quite happy with her. but we realised that she was leaving hilton the following Monday after we met her. After that, when we wanted to confirm with Hilton, met with the manager but she like SO attitude, everything also cannot compromise. so in the end, we decided not to sign with them.

HAPPY CNY.I've signed a package with MM as they are 1 of the few hotels that I can get a date on 24 Nov 07.I tell u,this is crazy! I started sourcing for wedding packages in dec & for the date that i want,most hotels have been booked already.
Fiona is my coordinator.Juz a little tip,not sure if it's going to help.My fiance did most of the talking to Fiona (i was just listening) & she seems quite accomodating.Well,maybe it's coz my fiance was very friendly with her (read: flirting),we asked for a lot of things.As ours is on a weekend,it's quite difficult to negotiate.Fiona managed to get us the date,as there was already a tentative booking.Seems like if the guy flirts with Fiona a bit more,she will give in more.haha.well,i'm not fussed abt this,coz ultimately,i'll be marrying my fiance,and the flirting is only to get us wat we want.
yah,the wedding favours will be changed,and compared to other hotels,MM's is not very nice.I've seen nicer ballrooms as well.I like Swissotel Merchant court.
But in this case,we r going for prestige and the date.My future sis in law is getting married at Conrad.when my fiance's collegues asked where he's getting married (at that time,we were considering novotel),he said novotel & he said u could see their shocked reaction.
Well,this only goes to show how shallow ppl are.Better make sure their red packets are 'big' enough to help me cover the cost of the wedding dinner.

yah,tell me abt that.ppl being shallow.but u know,the funny thing is we can afford to have a lavish wedding,but we choose to budget such that we won't spend all our money on the wedding & live on a shoestring budget for the next 5 yrs.
In fact,I'm very happy abt the fact that we r both paying for our own wedding.not a single cent fr our parents.& we also paid for our condo all by ourselves.And the best thing is: we don't have to live on a shoestring budget for the next few yrs.We can still wine & dine,take our hols whenever we want.
I think my parents have already given me so much in life.they gave me the best education I could ever have (I was educated abroad,my course cost a bomb.).My dad is the other reason I chose MM.Prestigous enough,within my budget.U know,all dads want 'face'.so there u go! haha...

Hi Galsparkle, my function room will be on the 6th Floor...different from yours...which is more convenient for you! But i think it's cuz there's no function room on the 5th floor. To answer your qn on the 2008 pricings, I think I read on one of the posts, it's about $30 more than 2007 pricings.
