if i can choose freely, I'll probably take a A-line and longer train.. but longer train is more exp... so I might just stick to a shorter one.. hope it's ok, cos one of my frens says too short to drag during walk-in. but i quite like the slim slim effect..
what are u guys taking?
 


I will probably opt for a A-line WG as well.
Am quite fleshy and dont think can carry off a ballgown.

lcw, are you still getting Kelly as you MUA ? Do you happen to have an pic of her works ?
 
ya, im getting kelly, but I don't have pictures or her works. In fact, I haven't even met her. Why dont u call her to ask if she has pictures of her work? I'm relying on Margaret and Benny's comments and another bride's album I saw.. I'm too lazy =P
 
Hello ladies:
i got married 2 years and signed up with Margaret brides for her package. i must say i am very pleased with her services, designs and work. I got a full french chantilly lace gown from her and it was beautifully done.
Margaret's services were excellent. i was able to talk openly with Margaret and she always able to take my comments into consideration and discussed with me
My suggestion for those brides who are still looking for bridal shops, i think you must first of all, like the designs of the gowns and you must be able to click with the designer. coz you'll be working with her / him for the next 9 months.

i didn't take digital pixs during my wedding - it was conventional photo-taking. for the past two years, i kept telling myself that i want to scan them but heeheehee didn't do it in the end..

it was a full-laced gown.. i really like it alot.
my make-up artist was Sharon. She was a very nice lady - i got along with her very well. Like one user mentioned earlier, her make-up was natural and not too thick, which suited my style.

how about an A-line but with a fuller skirt and train? I think maybe it can be more flattering than a ballgown?

I have sent you the link to my PS pics. But only the lace halter neck WG is from Margaret. This is because I took up a photography package with a BS and I took my outdoor shoots with their WG. The EG is also from this BS, and not Margaret. Sorry, I very lazy to sift out the photos of the Margaret's WG only ;-p

Thanks for showing me your pictures.. Loved your MB gown. Who was your photography? Thought the pictures looked very good! Anyway, I signed up with MB yesterday. Will be meeting up with her in 2 weeks time to design my WG. I really liked her german lace. But haven't decided if i want a full duchess satin gown or organza.

MB package is around S$5K which includes MTM WG and EG, Men Suit, Flowers, Make-up & studio/outdoor photography. You should go visit her shop coz she has many beautiful gowns on display.

MY package is S$5K which covers the basic photography..will be more expensive if you choose to add on more photos.
I don't have much comments on choices of your BS coz i didn't go check out their gowns. I heard that The Wedding Present is pretty good too. My personal opinion is that lace is quite romantic and elegant on a bride. And lace is in this season

so which BS have u decided eventually? Amanda or Margaret's? Both specialise in different WGs; Amanda in embriodery, Margaret in lace. I like the layout in Margaret's.. very "lacy" and English! =p

I love lace too (but not the whole gown).. was thinking other BS can also include laces/ crystals/ embroidery in their designs too.. so that leaves me to decide which BS to choose based on whether im comfy with the designer anot loh..Oh, and i would like to have organza/ tulle in my WG.. loved the gowns from Divine! I'm comfy with Margaret; shes very easy-going and "fren-fren" kind.. Euzart from Jawn is also very nice.. now in a dilemma... sigh...

I had booked my gown with Margaret... I paid my deposit on the first appointment with her coz I simply love her gown plus the fact that she s quite flexible.... NO HARD SELL TOO!

No biases against Jawn BS, my girlfren had quite an unhappy experience with them.... I find that Margaret is frank... and she really specialises in lace... and her designs are simple and classic.. Totally different from the rest...

I signed up with MB eventually coz i really love her gowns. My gown will most prob will partially laced coz I won't be able to afford full lace. Anyway, she can add crystals in her design too. I will be seeing her this Thursday for my gown design. Very excited!

My package includes following:
1. MTM WG
2. MTM EG
3. Men suit
4. flowers (actual day, photo shoot, car decor, corsages)
5. Make up and hair do (actual day & photo shoot)
6. Studio photography

You can also take her gowns separately, don't really have to take the whole package.

my package is S$5K which covers the basic stuffs. Didn't go for full lace gown which will be more expensive. Her standard MTM WG and MTM EG is about S$2.5K. Hope the information helps.

I went to MB that day for my first gown design. Now having a big headache coz i couldn't decide if i wanted my gown to be duchess satin or organza. Actually, you should go bridal shopping coz some bridal shops do lace gown as well.

Hi Princess, if you don't mind my opinion - personally I think satin goes better with lace as it makes the gown look more classy. My WG was made from Honey satin which is a more glossy version of satin. I liked it very much but you need to be abit more careful with it cos' it's more delicate than duchess satin. You may want to ask Margaret about that

I just signed up with MB too!!

But, I dont know whether the service is right. Yesterday, I went to her shop, try 3 gowns and she simply gave me 3 sketches and asked me to choose from one of them by June!!

Is this the way when u MTM your gowns? So chop chop finish...btw, trying of gowns plus the 3 designs were all done in an hour.

Margaret is like that! She s efficient but she s friendly too. Basically, u also have to tell her your preferences for the design. She s quite okay with that. She s quite frank with her advice too.

For me, I chose a 2nd hand off the rack gown. So, its even faster!

So u simply choose among existing gowns and decide within a day?! Thats v fast.

How many did u try? The prob is I only tried about 3 pieces and she seem to have drawn a conclusion of what suitable for me.

She sketch the 3 gowns in less than 10 mins and ask me to choose from one of it by June...

I dont have the feeling that she is putting sufficient effort into it....v worried leh..

One of the forumers had put her wedding gown by Margaret for sale. Unfortunately, I was unable to buy it due to the size... Margaret gowns are what i desired in a wedding gown....

That's y upon trying 2 gowns and with advice from my Mum, I just booked the gown that I liked (My mum even bargain the price with Margaret). My Mum who used to be a seamstress told me that all Margaret gowns are of good quality fabric and laces. That explains the price.

In fact, based on my Mum, with good quality fabric and lace, U dun need to have complicated design.... A simple one will make them stand out!

So dun worry too much! Remember u have to communicate to Margaret on your preferences. I think u like her gowns if not you won't sign up with her! Dun worry too much!
