Hi im work permit holder currently. I having wedlock baby thru singaporean guy.I quit working before my delivery and i gave birth baby in malaysia. Now the baby 16 month old.We would like to marry in singapore by law. What are the risk? Does i get ban? if yes how long does it. Does there any other way to settle it? Please kindly advise me.

Hi Nisha,

First of all, you should check with ministry of marriage what is the rules for both of you to get marry because you no more working in singapore. After that, you should register at Malaysia too to file your marriage. Then you'll be able to settle the baby matter. Good luck to you .

Ok, that's good to hear that youre working now and holding a work permit.

So, now you have to seek a permission from MOM for your marriage, you have to call MOM up and ask what is the rules now and what document to you need to seek for the approval.If i'm not wrong, you have to write a letter to MOM. But you better call and ask what you really need to do. If MOM approve, then you can file your marriage from ROM.
Don't worry, it's not really a big deal but please don't drag anymore.
