Infidelity - success rate of recovery

I found out my husband was cheated on me few months back. He returned home, felt remorseful and wanted to start all over again. We tried, but we found it very hard. I will have mood swing, become suspicious and has low trust on him. My feelings towards him changed. Same goes to him. We tried but it seems like we cannot go back to the life we used to have. Should I continue to stay and sustain this marriage?

I feel like giving up now. This is torturing! Is there any success case in salvage their marriage out there?

Hi meekia, dont base on any success case here to decide if you wanna salvage your marriage. It all boils down to how much you are able to forgive him and willing to make it work after the trust is gone. As you have mentioned in your current post that both of you find it very hard to try and things are not the same anymore. Suggest that you try separation first ? Either one of you move out of the house. This will give each other some space and time. Hope that helps, take care.

I am afraid of he will leave me, leave the family, so I choose to forgive him. But clinging on doesn't seems like having any better. Surface we are ok, but we didn't talk much as before, things are like changed

meekia: in ur previous post, there are some emotional issues that are affecting both ur HB and u... u seem to be clinging on the past, which we also advised u that you shld try to overlook beyond that line in order to move a step forward... What do u mean by "Feelings changed", do you still love him? How abt both of u give marriage counselling a try?

Meekia, how're you getting in now? Don't know if you are still here but I just happened to browse thru so thought I'd drop a message.

Was reading thru your story n realized that the day I posted to you saying my husband didn't cheat, he was in hk with his girlfriend. How stupid I was.

Hope you're getting on well n there is improvement in your life.
