1) Bridal package (rental gowns for photoshoot and AD, made-to-measure and to-keep suit+shirt+pants for groom, bouquets for photoshoot and AD, corsages for AD, MUA/hairstylist): $2988
2) Extra pair of suit and pants for groom + extra shoes for groom: $700
3) Bridal and evening heels: $100
4) Prewedding and AD PG + VG + morning express highlights video: $3300
5) Photo album + portrait + easel: $150
6) Tentage + white lining + fans + lights for post-solemnization lunch venue: $1498
7) Wedding bands/rings: $1500
8) Miscellaneous e.g. bridal car floral deco, manicures / pedicures, highlighting my hair, bridesmaids' dresses, groomsmen's ties, deco for solemnization venue, wedding favours, wedding invitation card printing, etc: about $800

In total, we spent about $11K. The only other costs not included in the list above are the lunch buffet post-solemnization, evening banquet dinner, ang pows for family and friends who helped out with coordinating/emceeing/music/etc, and cost for honeymoon.. Everything included, we spent a grand total of about $60-70K for our entire wedding plus honeymoon...

Considering the high Bridal package price from Bridal boutiques (at least $3800 up), I choose alarte method. sourcing gowns, accessories, makeup, photoshoot individually. My AD is early next year but need to start since needs time to source for each item :

Preparations
Gowns - planning to buy online (budget $900 for wedding and evening gowns, including 1 groom suit)
Photography - getting my friend to do (Budget $900 for full day event)
Bridal Bouquet and car deco - getting katong florist (pink roses budget $90, car deco $200)
Total cost :abt $2500 ( much cheaper than most bridal boutiques packages)

To save cost further, you may like to consider getting hotel lunch instead of evening dinner, can rest earlier too.
Something for brides who are on budget to consider

Hi Kathyy, how are you making the album? Is there someone who can print for us?

I'm not Kathyy but I can suggest something to you... We designed our own album and got it printed out (i.e. a mixture of DIY and ala-carte), which actually costs way cheaper than what some vendors would charge you for an album of similar quality. We engaged the online service of Artisan State and we are very pleased with the results (and so were our friends who also used their services). Fast, cheap (relatively), and good quality... If you want to read my review on it, just visit a forum thread that I've started where I shared all my reviews on the different wedding vendors whose services I engaged:

... Hope it helps! :)

Hi there, my fiance barely fit into the suits provided by our bridal studio, either too small and restrictive or too baggy. Anyone's SO taliored their suits. Any recommanded talior in Singapore that has fine workmanship and is afforable? Budget for a suit and pant is about $300. Not planning to go overseaa just to do it.

My hubby had 2 sets tailored out.. Both are in Peninsula Plaza - there are heaps of men's tailors there. One was Personality - we're not sure of the exact price for this one as we had it as part of our bridal package. The other set was tailored by Dezenno Uomo - sorry but can't remember the price we paid for this. Either way, both these shops are really popular and they both tailor really good suits that fit and look nice and sharp. Maybe you and your fiance can make a trip down to Peninsula Plaza to check out these two tailors as well as the many other tailors in that plaza and hopefully you'll both find something that will fit both your taste and budget.. ;)

Okay, thanks for the suggestion. Will definitely go there for a walk to check out the prices of the tailored suits.

Kathyy, are the car decor flowers real?
Hi, yap they are real but a little small. However, considering its budget, I am satisfied. My wedding will be this March.

Overall, I am satisfied with the expenditure spent which is within my budget and the service I am getting is well spent. :)

I asked my hubby and he said the suit and pants he tailormade in Dezenno Uomo cost around $300 - so it should fit your budget... ;)
