how much have u spent for wedding preps?

hi all BTBs, just curious how much have u all spent on wedding preps excluding banquet cost?

so far i've spent close to 10k, find it alot..is that the norm?
Prewed package w local shoot & AD gowns makeup: 5.6k
AD PG & VG: 3.8k
photobooth: 0.5k

have not calculated before... prefer not to think abt it. lol

pre-wed package: 3.5k
AD gown: 4k
AD pg + vg: 2.8k

already 10.3k.. have not included men's suit, MUA, flowers etc.. pre-wed is overseas, so i still have to include air tix, accomodation.
only consolation is i get to have a holiday..

$500 for photo booth is cheap. Can recommend me? Which company

Your AD pg and vg is quite reasonable, may i know who did u engage?

I have approached him and secured this pricing quite awhile back so you would need to check directly for the prices now

Car deco: $250 (max, cheaper if I decide to DIY)
Wedding planner: What for?
AD photographer: $1400
AD videographer: Not interested
MUA: $500
AD Gown: $350-$400
Shoes: Who cares? Nobody gonna look under my gown
Hand Bouquet: $70 (max)
Montage: DIY

I havent started planning and costing out my tea ceremony. just wondering, what makes up the $1900?

So happy to join sg brides :)

I think nowadays abt 10k is abt norm..sadly. everything is so exp. And I think prices will only go up as time passes.

Pre-wed overseas PG and VG: 5.9k
Pre-wed local shoot and AD gowns/suits (incl. bouquets n corsages n car deco): 3.1k (Mummy sponsor ;) )
AD PG and VG: 4.9k

Still yet to include miscellaneous costs like bridesmaid dresses, hong baos and good lingeries etc. big hole in pocket man..

Had our tea ceremony brought fwd to last year. The 1.9k included:

- Kwa & Ma Kwa rental
- Hijab accessories (I'm Malay wearing the head scarf)
- Makeup
- Shoe
- Car decoration
- Tea & bowl set
- Umbrella
- Paper/wall decoration (the Chinese wording)
- Photographer
- Buffet
- Cakes + oranges +carbonated drinks

Please note that since we are having an inter-racial marriage, we forgo a lot of culture/custom stuffs eg. si dian jin, gifts exchange. Yours might cost more on that part but there's ways to save on others eg, MUA, photographer.

Considering the high Bridal package price from Bridal boutiques (at least $3800 up), I choose alarte method. sourcing gowns, accessories, makeup, photoshoot individually. My AD is early next year but need to start since needs time to source for each item :

Preparations
Gowns - planning to buy online (budget $900 for wedding and evening gowns, including 1 groom suit)
Photography - getting my friend to do (Budget $900 for full day event)
Bridal Bouquet and car deco - getting katong florist (pink roses budget $90, car deco $200)
Total cost :abt $2500 ( much cheaper than most bridal boutiques packages)

To save cost further, you may like to consider getting hotel lunch instead of evening dinner, can rest earlier too.
Something for brides who are on budget to consider

My actual day package only 2.3k. Those around 4k includes photo album + prewed shoot if I'm not wrong. I bought the package early this year during roadshow. (5hrs of haggling + comparing with other bridal boutiques)
Includes 2 groom suit, 1 wedding, 1 evening, 1 kwa (female), 5 brothers/father jacket, 1 bridesmaid dress, 10hrs photography(all softcopy return), makeup artist w trial (only for bride), bridal bouquet, 6 corsages and car deco.

Ya, my prewed shoot and AD packagae with photography ard $4k. comes with MTM gown as well.

Ic, I actually helped my fren to do previously, both hand bouquet and car decor. Interested in DIY so was happy to do it for her. Used fresh flowers but the flower shop ppl keep telling me won't last (surprisingly they lasted) and ppl usually use silk flowers for car decor. That's why I am curious if the flowers are real or not.

Now I also helping some other brides to do. It's a happy hobby for me! ;)

-banquet - about $17k
-bridal package - $4k
-wedding bands - $1.6k
-invitation card printing - $100
-photobooth service - $408

still in the process of shortlisting AD videographer that are reasonably priced. :(
