NEED HELP- how much did you/ are you going to spend for photoshoot and AD?

Hi everyone...

i hope to hear from as many as possible cos im really lost...

because im planning to have my photos taken overseas, but would like to know is that quite ex.

can anyone share with me how much did u all spend in total for the photoshoot and also for the actual day? the items im referring are like

1) photoshoot and albums
2) photoshoot makeup
3) actual day gowns, evening gowns, tea dress
4) actual day night and day makeup
5) photographer and videographer
6)flowers/ the florist portion
7) the wedding car rental

can anyone please mayb share with me?

im so torn between doing everyting in singapore or having overseas photo shoot and getting an AD package. or having an ala carte AD package.

my estimation is like that

photoshoot in china -3500 (include airtix, accomm, package, airtix again to collect album)
- this package comes with 3 40" frames.3 albums. a total of 80 pictures edited. and all the pictures taken will be given to us in cd.
actual day-
VG and PG- 2400
if i rent gown in malaysia/ or buy gowns in china- 1000
florist-600
car rental-600
makeup-800

total: 8900 at max- is it alot?

but if i get a AD package- maybe it will be about 3188 + 2400=9088 but tats inclusive of alot of jackets for the dads and sisters dress..

i see so much until i dunno what im talking about also...

1) alot of AD package dun have PG and VG right- true or false?
so can i assume that no matter what- usually the PG and VG is .. have to pay on top of AD package right?

Hi xiaomao, Calm down... I think u really need to set a budget 1st... Especially for photoshoot, the best is to shortlist a few photographers/bridal shops that you like their style... Then ask for their price.. and meetups to see the works.

I dun see a problem to rent/buy gowns, as I prefer ala-carte coz I can have more control on the things I need/don't need Plus, I don't like studio shoot, I prefer real sceneries.. Saying that, I will rather save the money to do indoor shooting, and put it to oversea shooting, and make it a prewedding romantic trip =)

So, make sure you aim at what you need, not just to follow the crowds.

Me also have the same queries as you. As of now, I have booked PS at Taiwan. For AD, juz thinking of either renting the gown from Taiwan but I think a AD package in SG would be more 'secure'.

Hi ladies,

Firstly, like what Meiguan mentioned, you all need to set aside a budget. Usually you will exceed your budget.Nowadays alot of people rather do ala carte, though it might be same price or so with studios, but then you get to choose what you like or not. Besides the freedom , you usually get many more pictures, prints etc as these PG are will be more obliged and happy to do more for you.
