Hi gals,

No, i have yet to go down to take a look. Most likely next week.

May give the Wedding show a miss cos my AD is in Sept, so I hope to confirm location soon. Hopefully the co-ordinator is nice enough to give me whatever perks they are offering at the wedding show!

Cassie - how you find the location after going down?? Nice?

Hi cassie

I actually went down to talk to W, i had seen the Temasek room , but not for wedding setup(it was partitioned into 4 for corporate event). He told me there is a wedding this saturday @ Temasek and advised me to go take a look at the wedding setup. I find the reception area for Temasek quite cosy and exclusive, it wont be mixed with other ballrooms, just not sure abt the setup and atmosphere.

I dont think i am going to the wedding show, i already discussed the perks with them

Its definitely quite attractive.

I am undecided between Trades and another hotel in suntec which is much more exp but has beautiful wedding themes...

Hi Carol

We really like the location cos

- it's not in the middle of Orchard road so less traffic jam. We were considering a few hotels - Hyatt, Hilton etc..
- Parking is not a problem cos Tanglin Mall is right beside. We actually parked at Tanglin Mall and walked over.
- The reception and atmosphere is very nice.

Hi ladies

Tot i shld share my experience (it's a pretty long story so pls bear w me

We called the coordinator on Fri for an apptmt to view the place and discuss the details but were told they are available only on Sat or the following Mon.

Anyway we (Mil, Hubby and I)still decided to chk out the place. So we called the coordinator again and told her dat we are at the hotel lobby. They (Than Than & Larrina) came to meet us in the lobby and they are very friendly even though it was around 6plus (on a Fri) and she already told us to come on Sat.

We asked quite a lot of questions and they were very patient and friendly throughout our meeting. Can see dat Than Than is really busy as her phone keeps ringing. They are not pushy and went thru the various packages, themes with us and showed us the actual ballrooms. In the end we left the hotel abt 8plus!

To be honest Hubby and I are svc suckers =p We are really impressed with their level of svc, friendliness and professionalism dat we jus signed up on the spot w/o even chkin out the other hotels. I used to work in svc ind and find dat it is difficult to find svc staff who will still smile and take time to explain stuff when u drop by unexpected on a Fri evening.

Carol

In regards to parking, my mil is very concerned as she has attended a number of weddings where there are insufficient parking lots.

For me, i wldn't wan my guests who are driving to spend lots of time lookin for a carspace and be late for my wedding =p

Hi Cassie,

Thanks for sharing so much!

Actually I am holding on to Traders Hotel's package bcos of the good reputation they seem to have in this forum hahaha...

Cos my MIL find it a bit out of the way, not near MRT, so they are worried abt our guests not being able to find the hotel. But me and my FH love the peace and quiet.....and we too are also sucker for good service....

Now we are considering a few hotels and whether to do indoor banquet or outdoor buffet.

You have any idea of their selection of wedding theme? Can share details of your wedding package with me? Anyone can share abt their food? Is it good?

My email is [email protected]

Thanks a lot!

Hi Carol

I understand ur mil's concern abt the location but i think as long as we provide a map in the invitation cards and mention dat it is beside Tanglin Mall shld be ok.

Hi totoro gal,

The march-in is juz nice, we love the long march-in and able to have eye contact with most of the guest. (Wedding on 1st March 08)

Their service especially Charlotte and captain was really fast.

Hi Cassie,

Thanks.
I have good comments from my guest the food is nice.
As for the theme, mine is crystal divine. A simple and elegant look as compared to the other 2 themes.

Hi all,

I am new in this thread. But i have the same interest with you all to hold my wedding in traders hotel.

Went down to take a look at temasek room today, quite impress. I love the cocktail area so much and the atmosphera of the temasek room.

Talk to william, he is quite professional, we can always discuss and negotiable for some perks. However, he looks tired....haha, may be bcos that time is 7pm++.

The only concern is the location that Carol mentioned, worry if raining day will affect the attendance.

Wat about the stage decoration?? Is the stage very small and low?? Anyone got any idea? Cos today was quite rush, so not manage to go thru those theme photos.

Hope to hear from you all!!!

I will be going down to Traders hotel tomorrow to view the venue and discuss about the package. Hope it won't dissapiont me..

hi i am also going down to traders to talk to the coordinator charlotte. The comments at this forum are "pulling" me to hold my wedding there. haha Mine will be at the room with more tables...can't remember the name of the room

Hi Weng,

My AD is on 05/12/09. I am looking about 30 tables.

Last Sat, I have went to the Traders hotel.. Actually we have appointment w/ William but end up w/ a guy called Maron.. He seem like dun know anything..

He cannot commit anything to us and keep saying that mid of this year only can book for 2009... When i am asking on free flow beer, ang pao box.. He said have to check w/ management.. LCD projector is a rental too... Haiz... quite dissapointed w/ this guy..

I have seen the Gallery room.. There was a wedding on that day..I and my hubby feel that it is so so only after seen their deco... We felt the space was quite cramped after filled w/ 25 tables.. Cannot imagine how is the space if 30 tables..

Hi Teresa,

Maybe Maron is new there, try calling William and let him know that you're not comfortable with the guy?

My Co-or is Charlotte, very nice lady and efficient... ^^ I will be holding mine on 20/11/09 in Temasek Room. Love the recp area and the long march in.... xD

Hi Lynn,

I love the long march-in in the temasek room also.

But after a few consideration, we are worry about the trader's location (not near to mrt station), this has pulling me not to hold my wedding at traders hotel.

Somemore my coordinator never get back to me of my question, although he said will check and get back to me, not so efficient leh.

So too bad, go back to holiday inn park view lo.

Hi Lynn, can you provide contact for Charlotte? i think traders is still quite convenient although quite a bit of walk from the train statin but at least its still in orchard area.

thanks!

Hi Starjoy,

I'm sorry but all the complimentary tickets have been taken up already. However, if you would still like to sign-up for the show, the tickets are available at $38 per couple and you can register here. But you may like to call them to sign-up as mailing the form will not reach them in time.

Regards,
Chin Leng.

hello! went to traders, saw the Gallery room but there are two big pillars. Cassie, how do you work around that? Also Rumpoles bar is near the reception, when I went that day, the cigarette smell is quite strong.

Hi Red Letter

Depends on how many tables u have bah.. I have around 22-25 tables so my coordinator can arrange them in a way so that my guests won't be blocked by the pillars.

Haven speak to my coordinator about Rumpoles bar yet.. thinking of asking her if they can close the door or something. Maybe u can check with the coordinator too.

Hi Jesteress

Why would u say their service not good? Im thinking of holding either at traders or Hilton. When was yr wedding held?

Do yr guests find it inconevient>?
