Hi girls,
I will be gog down to the wedding show next wk. No matter how we try, still hv to pay for the tics loh. kekeke.
Ok, sorry if i had made you all feel shortchange bcos of my wedding package.
the package details are with my FH, but i dun rem giving up anything. Maybe its a new package without alot of perks already, you noe what i meant? Our concern is our food tasting is only for 6pple, if i rem correctly and we can only choose free flow beer or 1 wine per table with 1 complimentary 20litre barrel of beer. Maybe you all got better deals here? We felt kinda cheated on the beverage part loh. Somemore if we choose the wine option, we canot take back unconsumed wine leh.

Yeah, you're right, Charlotte is really nice, and co-operative too, unlike most of the salesgirls I've contacted for other hotels.

No worries, dun feel sorry, you indeed have a good deal there. About the beverage, again it's quite the same. We were not given the options as you had, we were only told that the beer would be free flow, and for the wine it would be waived of the corkage fee as we let go off some of the freebies. And we also only have about 6-7 people for the food tasting. Our menu is standard menu, except for the poultry we bargained to change to duck-dish.
I'm sure during the wedding show, there would be more perks and freebies given. I kinda nagged at my FH about this and he told me something logical, there'll always be a better package, better hotel, better price. But when we got the package, we were really sure that it was a better deal than others than we have researched, so we're quite content with it
I heard from quite a number of friends, they said the food is good..
My other shortlisted hotel were M hotel and Novotel, M hotel was also all fine, although the sales response was rather slow, but he (Simon) was quite nice too, the only catch is that they require minimum number of 25 tables, and the date we were looking at has been taken.. as for Novotel, the sales (Ms J) was extremely fierce and unfriendly, just ticked us off on the spot, my FH doesn't even want to consider as we went home that day, and some friends who attended weddings there mentioned that although the food was quite good, but the portion is really small..
Anyway, can't wait for this Saturday for the wedding show.. Oh, and hope not too late, Congrats to you all My AD would be in March

jesteress, yes but i forgot & contract is not with me. and i've changed quite a bit that i don't think the name means anything now..hee hee. anyway generally my family is pleased with the choice of food.
You'll need to check if u can change menu after food tasting .. may need to top up $$ esp if change fish.

William is the Senior Events Sales Manager. He is also very prompt to my reply. I have not booked with Traders yet but will be going down on Fri to take a look at the Temasek Room as there will be a wedding dinner on that day. I have saw the renovated Temasek Room last week (the workers were still giving a final touch up)and it looks very nice and grand with the candeliers. William told me that they are changing the theme for next year to compliment the renovated Temasek Room. It looks nicer than the Gallery (the other ballroom).

Don't be sad. Though the plus side of Temasek Room is the candeliers but the minus side is that it can only accommodate 19 - 20 tables and it is a long rectangular room. Good for the long march in but the guests at the back may not be able to see the stage clearly. I'll be going down on Fri to see the actual setup of the room. Will give more comments after my viewing.

I am also a Traders BTB and my coordinator is Charlotte as well. Hope I am not too late to join u all for a chat although my AD will be coming soon in Dec.
I just had my food tasting last week with my family and everyone had thumbs up for the food and service. The seafood was fresh and portion served was quite alright for us because everyone of us was very full by the time we had the 6th dish. The dessert was nice, not too sweet and everything ends well that night. Hope it will be the same on the AD.

I dun really understand the pathway is where??? u mean below the escalator?? in between the gallery room and temasek room???? Actually i was aiming the area to be my reception as my reception area outside gallery is quite limited... But since you say they renovated i think cannot le... If i have less tables i wld definitely choose temasek room... I like long march in.. BUt however even gallery room is renovated i think the 2 big pillar wil be still there... dun think they can removed that... hahaahhaaha... I looking forward for my tasting.. But have not planned when coz my AD is in Mar 08.. ABit early.. But will be having my parents meeting session at the same time... So ur Photoshoot taken>>> which is ur BS?? any Ps to share>??? we don't hv softcopy of the contract and the hardcopy is not with me. We took the bliss package, no much additional perks from the list, except for the additional room that they gave us. you may want to neg with Charlotte. good luck!

I am having the bliss package but two of the dishes were changed and some perks were given to me after some neg before I signed the contract with them last year. But I can change some other dishes as well now if I want, as agreed with them before I signed up. I am using the Temasek Room. I chosen Temasek because I like long march-in (just like you do). The pathway I mentioned before is in between the gallery room and temasek room, just right after the Greeting Room and Rumpoles Bar. Sorry, for the confusion! My BS is EBridal (Budget). For the photos, I just had my PhotoShoot taken towards the end of last month and had not get back my softcopy yet. Will email you once I get those.
I suggest you should have your food tasting in mid Jan since your AD is in Mar. CONGRATS to you!! Plan your food tasting date earlier so that you can secure the dates you want. You can have your parents meeting session and pre-CNY dinner as well. Hehe! Just my two cents worth. In the meantime, just look forward to it and enjoy yourself on that day.

I forgot to mention one of my concern for the temasek room. i felt that the aisle for march-in appear to be a bit narrow, got space mah? traders say that bcos i'm using the 5ft table, there will be bigger space for march-in, so no need to worrie. but what if i decided to increase the table size? any brides have any clue on that?

5ft is for 10 persons. the ballroom is more suitable to accommodate up to 19 tables, so if you got more guest, u can increase pple per table, then hv to use the 6ft table.

mine is 10 persons. but provisioning for more, just in case. that's why i'm quite concern of the march in, esp when u march in, pple will stand up & their chairs will take some space on the aisle. so i scared it may be a bit congested. did you ask ur co-ordinator abt this??

Sleep early the night before your PhotoShoot as it will be a long, tiring day and your eyes will not look puffy when you wake up in the morning. Bring along a pair of slipper or comfortable walking shoe if you are going to the beach for the outdoor shoots as it is easier to manage than the heels and you will not damage your heels on the sand. Enjoy your PhotoShoot on Friday.... and hmmm ... remember to Smile...
