Help: Proceedure in planning ROM

Hi, I am lost in the steps to planning my ROM set in June 2009. Is it too early to book a venue? Cos since we can only confirm the date and time of the ROM 3 months b4 the actual day, is it too risky to book a venue so early?

Will really appreciate advice fr peeps who have been thru it! Thank you in advance!

shouldn't have any problem happy girl, as long as your venue allows you to book your venue now. cos some venues may not allow you to book too early in advance as their prices for the next financial year is not out yet..

i booked mine about 8 months in advance too..you should book early if yours is going to be a hot date..

and i don't quite get you when you said you can only confirm the date and time of the ROM 3 months before the actual day..that was usually for the efile rite? when you efile, the more you should have all the necessary info ready..like your venue is one of them

hi super gal thank you for ur reply. what i mean is I was worried we cant get e date and time we want. but i guess it shld be easier since we are having it outside?

so the correct proceedure is to find a date/time, book venue, find JP, then efile yeah?

me and my partner now trying to confirm the peeps to invite before deciding on e venue. wanted to make it a low-key affair since it is only rom. but not sure if we shld invite e close relatives too.

yes, if you are planning to have your ROM outside the ROM registry, there shouldn't be a problem getting your ideal date, as long as your venue is available.

and yup, it's better than you decide on a date first, then find and confirm your venue, thereafter look for a JP. cos you will need to let your JP know where your solemnisation will be held..cos i'm not too sure if any JP will actually mind a venue that may not be that accessible..and once you have all these done, just wait to efile...like what i'm currently waiting now

for me and HTB, we only invite friends and immediate family members..about 32 pple..cos i feel our relatives may only be more concern about the customary dinner..

Hello! No la, i booked my wedding way ahead! my ROM cum wedding is on the same day in september, holding in my dad's house, but i already book my planner cos i heard they very popular and prices might go up next year so lock in this year first.
i even went for my fitting of gown already! just that ROM solemnizer can only book 3 months ahead la, but my planner already doing it for me so i have no more to worry.
if you interested can try my planner Indulgz Weddings, they do everything within my budget, so i got my rom gown, my hubby's suit, my caterer, my alcohol, photography, door gifts etc all included within my budget.best thing, they dont charge extra for service! you interested let me know, i email you my package.

Im still alittle blur on ROM..
Our ROM date is on 22Mar09 which is a sunday.
Does that means I need to efile on Dec 22nd? dan i look for solemnizer?
Is it cfm that we can get de date?

juski22> Hi. Yes you can only start to efile on 22 Dec 2008.

For solemnizer you actually can start looking for one now and book with your prefered solemnizer your ROM date. Once confirm on this than you have to get the solemnizer's lic no. cause you need his Lic. no. to do the efiling also.

If you wish to have your ROM inside of the ROM centre than you must sit in front of your computer b4 the 22 Dec 2008 (which is 11.50pm on 21 Dec 2008) to book the slot you want in the ROM center. But if you wish to have your ROM out of the center than confirm you can get the date you want.

To get a solemnizer, you can choose from the list of Lic solemnizer form the ROM website: http://app.rom.gov.sg/internet/about_rom/rom_contact.asp
