Hey gals, ok will send the link now. Skybebe - my hubby was ok with it (as long is i am happy..hehe) but we were afraid my parents wouldnt like the black theme. We brought them to another black themed wedding, before we decided to convince them it wasnt too dark

But do note that it also depends on which ballroom u are using, ours was SSR which was naturally brighter. The main ballroom is darker, so i wont recommend u use the black theme for that...

i was hoping my mum-in-law wld change her mind when she saw the setting but before i cld even bring up the subject, she caught a glance at it in SSR (which is where i wld be holding the banquet), she commented that it was too dark for a wedding....sigh....had to keep quiet.....

Hey genesis, i loved the black theme when my coordinator told us about it...so was adamant that we used it, regardless of what my mum said! hehe...luckily she was ok when she saw the set up...we also kept the flowers on all the lazy susans throughout the night (to add some colour). Anyway, I am sure ur wedding will be lovely with the white setting as well!

I don't know if choosing SSR is a good idea....but compared to hibiscus, it is a bigger ballroom.

for setup, if you don't choose to top up for huge floral arrangements on every table (theme weddings@ hyatt), there are a few types of table setups that you can choose.
you can also choose the backdrom on stage, and the type of setup u prefer on stage. no worries.

i had a perfect wedding experience with hyatt. everything went like a dream, including the sound system, cues from the banquet manager for the 2 march ins.

The banquet coordinator handled everything (slides, songs for march in etc) & they were very generous with the flower deco

i think floral decor top up is quite a fair bit, not sure of the price, u gotta check w hyatt. it includes individual service for each guest cos the floral decor will remain the whole nite.
