Hi all....

we went to the Wedding Show yesterday too.... The lucky draw, was so disappointing, no hype. And the collection from the bridal shop, not tat good too... except for some last few pieces that were presented..... BTW, i also took some wedding themes... quite similar to those tat were posted by wayang80.

I would appreciate those who had / plan to have their banquet in the Waterfront Ballroom, how did / will you overcome the problem of the view of the stage being blocked by the two fat pillars? Will live video feed be effective or sufficent? Anyone know how much additional will that cost?

Im v happy with what GCW has provided me before and also on my wedding day. I can oly say that what they hv done for me is more than what I expected from them.

One example was a bridal chklist that my coordinator - Elizabeth gave me... itz nt the one tt they provided when we signed the contract bt another one which is more comprehensive... it nt oly include the hotel stuffs bt also tasks we nit to complete closer to the wedding day... thou we do hv such chklist oreadi bt itz such small things tt realli warm one's heart...

hi Sammi, how was the floral arrangement with JM florist? when did u meet up with the shop to discuss? were there more varieties than those at the recent bridal show (only three designs which i had posted previously on 17th Aug)? sorry for so many questions at one go... really appreciate your reply.. thank you in advance!

I met up with them like 2 weeks before my AD. But prior to that I asked for some photos of the settings available. Here are the other 2 options for riverft ballroom... think they hv different ones for grand ballroom... actualli JM florist was the one who suggested I go with the arch with 'rose balls + tealights' coz my theme is black... so better use red rose balls to give it a 'yuan man' feel...

yup, this year's perks really good.. mine only 1 bottle of red wine per confirmed table and no helpers' room (last yr's wedding show). only comfort is i secure a sunday. =)

But.. actually, can ask for more, to fully utilise the offer!!~

Okie, there is free flow of beer, to be served during banquet only right? And if u all read thru the Basic Package, it gives 1 Barrel of Beer for the banquet. And only when it comes to the Wedding Show Perks, that GWC is offering FREE FLOW OF BEER... In fact, we could also make use of tat "1 Barrel of Beer", to be served DURING COCKTAIL. Although not much ppl will drink beer during cocktail, but better serve that nothing right? hehehe....

Also, the 2 bottles of Red Wine FREE DURING DINNER... imagine not every table will drink red wine, hence, there'll bound to be remaining red wine left.... And we are not suppose to bring home the remaining red wines, since its FOC from hotel. So, to fully utilise the red wines, u can ask to serve the red wine, FROM COCKTAIL onwards....

I asked for my additional 1 barrel of beer (from GWC basic wedding package), and red wine (from wedding show perks), to be served from cocktail onwards, to fully pamper all my guests for my night... Although I know, maybe the serving will be slow, (as hotel confirm got control the amount, since its FREE FLOW for Beer...), but at least my guests will feel pampered that they also can drink during cocktail.

ngie, you mean u manage to get them to serve beer during cocktail?

I talk to my coordinator she say if the guest starts to get seated (ie; ballroom door open), then guest can seat in then order beer and then can bring the beer out to the reception area.

If the ballroom door is not open (guest not yet to be seated), then cannot serve the free flow of beer.

Can confirm with me if yours is the same as mine?

As long the ballroom is NOT OPEN, CANNOT serve the free flow of beer.
