Grand Banquet at Hotel Royal @ Queens

Can anyone feedback on the quality of the food? Hmm..Say range from 1 to 10...1 being terribly bad and 10 is extremely good.
How will you rate their food?
Did anyone manage to get more perks such as obtain a 2 nights stay in the hotel?

I would recommend the above for wedding dinner, I just had my wedding dinner on 06.11.10 and it was great. The asst resturant manager, Ken was patient with us all along and his assistant, Emma was also very helpful and give in to almost all of our request. The dinner went very smoothly and all my guest were satisfied with the food. So if you are looking for banquet location for about 10 - 30 tables, you can consider using them.
 
To further add on my previous comment, they also give in to my request for additional 30 doorgift even though my banquet is already over. If you are thinking where to hold your banquet, seriously, you can make a trip down and take a look yourself at the resturant.

May I know if you held your banquet at the restaurant level 2 or at the ball room?
 
Hi all, I just held my wedding at Fu Lin Men on 28 Nov 2010. I took the level 3 ballroom. I have no other words but just praises and compliments to Jimmy (Manager) and Ken (Asst Manager) and their crew on that night.

I was pretty nervous on the march-in but with Jimmy (Manager) and Ken (Asst Manager) around, they gave very clear instructions and even joked with us to help us relax and kept the atmosphere very light-hearted. They really made our day.

Both sides family, relatives and our friends had their thumbs up on the food. I will give it a 10/10. When we were walking from table to table to entertain the guests, we realised that almost all the tables have no leftovers.

Many of my relatives said that the chilli crab sauce with bun is a very unique dish and very delicious. They took every bit of the sauce, leaving their bowl empty. Yummy Yummy!!!

Though we had 29 tables (290 guests), my relatives and friends mentioned that the crews provide fast and good service. No long waits.

On the decoration, we were all very please with the arrangement and decoration. Upon arrival at the reception outside the ballroom, there were many balloons which the kids had their fun taking one or two to play with and took home with it. This kept all the kids entertained and their parents able to enjoy the great food and music.

Oh.. the champagne is sweet and tasty, so remember to glup them down before it being taken away. hahahah... LOL. My mum and dad wanted more of it (they told us after the yum-seng session). Made us laughed.

If you have made your choice at Fu Lin Men, you can be rest assured that you made an excellent choice.

I had tried the food before confirmation with them.

My bf say the food is gd and to me, the food is ok. Before sales service is gd too. I have not tried the after sales.

I went to miramar before. I'm very disappointed with their service.

My wedding is on Oct 2012.

I was tinking of going to try their food too, maybe then I will decide..
so far, the restaurant looks ok, so have to grade their food.

My bf and I feel that the hotel looks abit run down, yet location and package is attractive.

I tink the restaurant at Miramar is new there, used to be another restaurant. I am also looking at that area's hotel.

My bf say he can accept the hotel looks. Not very run down. Of course, cannot compare with 5 star hotel. My bf say Miramar look more run down lei. I think Miramar look still not so bad la. But the reception super super small in Miramar.

I just booked my wedding banquet with FLM Grand Banquet last week. My AD is on Sept 2012.

Hope everything goes well on that day.

@ Krisitne: been down to the restn... though a few tables will not be able to see the stage due to blocked walls, there are TVs on the wall which can project "live" of the happenings.

Besides providing free flow of wine, beer, VSOP cognac, soft drinks n tea, they also provide free wedding favors (a selection to choose from), special designed table menu, free invites+ inserts.

The manager also said that a staff will serve an average of 2-3 tables, with captains serving the VIP table.

Plus if we book and confirm the wedding date, we only need to pay the 10% service charge n 7% GST. So if the govt decides to increase to 10% GST, the restn will absorb the additional 3%.

Their deco is nice, i'm impressed. U can choose a selection of color themes: purple, blue, green, pink, red etc...
 
Have anyone held their wedding dinner at Jurong Country Club Fu Lin Men? How is the food, serving and service? Also as the place is quite inaccessible, what are the things that are done? Is there any hotel stay?

I just booked my banquet with Grand Banquet @ Hotel Royal Queens. The service is great! the manager (Jimmy) is very nice too!

He is not pushy when my bf and i viewed the place weeks ago. Thumbs up to him!

My friend held her dinner at FLM Jurong Country Club. The food was great! However, GB @ Hotel Royal is more accessible (just 1 min from Bras Basah MRT).

So if you're deciding to hold your dinner at FLM, GB at hotel royal will be a better option

Was tempted to book the area. Unfortunately, we had underestimated the number of tables. Coz the restaurant cld only hold a max of 34 tables, even that also a bit cramped.

The 3rd level ballroom by the way is disappointing. They are renovating, but i saw 3 or 4 pillars there. N it's not as nice as the 2nd floor.
