anybody knows of kimberly and jasmine as the GWP coordinators? my god, sent a couple of emails to them but no reply at all?

even when we went impromptu to the hotel to see see and they were informed that we went down, we gave our contact details for followup but none at all...its quite strange?

anybody can pm me the other coordinators'emails/ contacts?

don worry, they will call you when it;s near to your wed date. Ashley will cal you for food tasting, then choosing for wed theme and favor.

Don worry, you will be in good hand.

They will try their best to give room upg. At first, i was quite worry about the wed suite.. because.. i saw the junior suite and it was a total dissapoinment.
But i was given a rm upg on day so very happy..

if you looking for an entertainment on the wed day, i will suggest to engage a wed singer.
I have engage Bevlyn from Little dreams for my wed and she did a good job. Some of my fren is asking for her contact too.

She is worth for the money..
 
I went to see the bridal suite yesterday.. and yes... kinda dissapointed.. hope they will upgrade mine..hmm.. but the ballroom is nice =)
am still deciding .. GWP or Marriot ^O^" The coordinator I met is Mei Fung, she's quite nice =)

Jolliebean, am looking for wedding singer too! Mind to email me the contact for the wedding singer? how much is it?

They will normally upg the wed couple if the hotel is not full. Don worry!

If you are looking for Wedding singer, then you definitely have to engage Bevlyn from A little dream. I engage 2 piece instrument and requested for her to sing for me so have to pay additional 100. So i paid 1300 for the whole thing. they have few pakage..just choose the one you want.
I have ever seen her sing with keyboardist only.

EVERYONE Was so impressed by her singing.

She sang for the sub theme songs of little nyonya.

go youtube.. and search for bevlyn khoo and you will find her.

Was looking at the photo of the Windsor ballroom.. and am wondering is the ceilling to plain (aside of the 3 chandelier) ..

Anyone attended weddings at Windsor Ballroom b4? any comments on the lighting and decor ?

saw this website with the photos of the windsor (http://yourstrulyweddings.blogspot.com/2009/02/peggy-and-pauls-wedding-goodwood-park.html) ..seems like the ceilling is abit plain.. and will the whole room became too 'whitish' ?
 
Yup~ it looks exactly shown like as in e pic.. I hv been there to view e Winsor ballroom athou Im gtiin e Tudor ballroom..

Personally, I prefer e feel of Tudor bcos it looks more Victorian style n cosy to me.. Bt con is tat Tudor ballroom is smaller n can only hold 23 tables e most.. =)

Btw is the Bridal Suite that bad...read most of the comments...seems like really not so appealing...haven got a chance to view it...if they upgrade like what Jolliebean says...what kind of room do they give you instead? And anybody have any idea is it necessary to have a helper's room if I am doing lunch? Is the Bridal Suite enough?
 
Hi all,

earlier I posted on 10th of July that some of my guests have stomach upset after the wedding dinner.

GWP has resolved the matter and we have accepted their apologies.

GWP is actually very prompt in resolving the matter and I would thank my coordinator, Jasmine and Esther (director) for their their help.

I am looking forward to celebrate my anniversay next yr at GWP....
 
i was just at GWP for a wedding dinner. service was quite poor but that might only be our waiter who was very inexperienced... he had alot of difficulty serving food and almost tripped and dropped the entire dish on top of me @@ plus, we had to repeat alot of times for our drink orders and they took quite awhile to serve us the food too. sometimes they would just leave the dish on the table and we would be looking at each other wondering if we should just help ourselves or?? and many times, he would miss out on 1 or 2 persons when serving the dishes.. and we end up having to help ourselves.

BUT the food was quite good though, especially the seafood (prawns, scallops, not the fish though..)

oh, and one thing to note, parking is very difficult to find on weekends in town

we were very lucky to manage to find parking at GWP itself, even though we were a little late. valet parking at GWP is $7.

I'm thinking of holding my banquet there.. but still considering... coz the Windsor's pre-wedding cocktail place was abit squeezy.... and etcetc...

woa.. din know their service is that bad...was it 1 waiter to 1 table or.. ? hmm...

yea, heard their food's pretty good... what fish was it? i'll make sure if i do engage GWP ..i dun order that =p

i think might have been 1 waiter to a table, better to check with the hotel. i know we got the same waiter througout.

i cant remember what was the fish, but it was steamed and sliced up into many pcs. didnt look like those typical steamed soon hock etc

Is their food serving at wedding banquet cooked by their chinese restaurant 'Min Jiang'?

I tried the good at Min Jiang once and I thought it was execellent, so I hope that their menu is prepared by Min Jiang.

Are u referring to 2011 pricing?

Heya, 1st time posting in this thread. Went to view the ballroom, love its hexagon shape but as everyone mentioned the bridal suite is small. However, I tried to ask if there is a possibility of an upgrade should there be vacancy, I was "rejected". Jolliebean or does anyone else know what are the chances for the upgrade?

Hie teracotta...my coordinator is Raman and the both of us definately feel that we are in safe hands!=) He is very experienced in banquet operations and has handled major events for corporates before so I think this will be very useful in helping us with the wedding...Although we have not confirmed our booking with GWP...but having him as our coordinator is making our decision an easier one cos we feel quite comfortable with him...Hope my experience with him helps and all the best in your wedding plans!=)
 
Sad to say Ashley has left GWP. Hope that the next coordinator will be as WARMm nice and committed to making our wedding day a success
