Goodwood Park Hotel


Hi Girls,

Havent had the time to check back. I went to see the bridal suite. Was really quite disappointed. It was small and the view was quite bad.

But I had requested for them to not give me the same one on my wedding day. So fingers crossed!

I love goodwood's quaint feel and the ballroom is beautiful so I guess cant be 100% perfrct =P
 
i got a 2nd flr suite overlooking poolside for my banquet. pretty nice view

but no bridal deco or anything.
banquet manager was very helpful and attentive, and he prepared all the dinner for the couple & sent to the room after the banquet for the courses we missed.

Do you have to request for the poolside suite? I am planning to book GWP too. Going into negotiation with them now. Any tips?

Hi. Can i check with you guys here if we need the smaller poolside for solemnisation do they charges us for that? or can we nego with the manager?

I have heard some good stuff about Ramam so I guess he is ok.

Ashley is sweet =) So far so good =)

So far only grouse I have of goodwood is their invites. They no longer team with Dreamweavers (whose invites are excellent) so I will have to find/design my own cards =)

Could be an experience in itself so fingers crossed! =)

Hi Angelia, I think banquet manager is the guy that coordinate all he waiters and food stuff on that day, while your wedding coordinator is the person who will call you to arrange your food tasting, and your florist etc..

Correct me if I'm wrong ladies =)
 
Hihi.. My coordinator is also Ashley.. She seems sweet and friendly in person.. Anyway she has the pix of the different ballroom setup. She showed me the hard copies.. Not sure if she has the soft copies..

They are still teaming with Dreamweavers but only for those who sign up during their wedding show..

My coordinator is Ashley too, will be meeting her to look at GWP next saturday.

Yupz. the wedding show will be 26 Apr. They have more perks if signing up with DBS Credit Card.
 
But I have already paid the deposit and stuff.. =P couldnt wait till 26th Apr.. so dont think I can get the perks of the wedding show..

Dreamweavers' cards are very nice =) they are those high class card companies. Each card ranging from $3.50 to $5... USD.... imagine that! =)
 
wow.. u have any idea hw much it cost to print with them?
the terms for getting the dreamweavers card is that u have to print with them..

the dbs perks are free flow beer and wine, free helper room from 2/3-7pm, 1 2pc wedding band(1 set) and $500 dollars dinning voucher...

my coordinator say that i can book with them now and get the bridal show perks w/o attending the bridal show..
 
wow.. $500 nw? the perks i saw frm their brochere was a $300 dining voucher.

angelia > reading the forums on GWP, there r some concerns abt the decorations too simple, did your coordinator managed to assure u on the themes that they might have?

i saw the pictures and i find their decorations to my liking. i guess it depands on individual also. the coordinator mention that they do not have themes and we wrk together with the florist ( if i nv remember wrongly)

Just wanna share my review for GWP's service so far. I have chose the color theme, stage design and all sort. I also went for food tasting too.

My Coordinator is Ashley.. she helpful..
The invites and the stage design are so so.

However..food are supperb. I chose shrimp paste chicken... garoupa with soya sauce.. and the prawn with herbs and C.wine.. arrrrr.. they were so yummy...black pepper udon with seafood was gd too.

my only worry is the dessert. i chose something pamelo with mango sauce.. hmm not that it is bad.. but i have expected much more from it.

I REAALLY HOPE THAT FOODs WILL BE AS NICE ON ACTUAL DAY...

i just signed with GWP yesterday... my bf rushed down immediately when he was told that the tentative booking before us was released...

i din really see the contract.. everything with my bf... i also din see the actual ballroom.. only see the pics....

jollie, do you have any pics of the theme?

My AD is 28 July... how about yours?
Basically, GWP engage 2 florist. you can only choose from either one. All coordinate through your SM. There shouldnt be any problem if you want to have extra thing and of course it will cost you more.

GWP don ve theme for the wedding. Just the diff design or deco for the from the florist. SM will show you a file of pics of these 2 florists... about their various design of stagem deco along the ailse and the centerpiece for VIP table and normal table.


i remember they did sent me pics of those designs.. if i found will post up here for everyone..
