Huisi >> I guess working with GWP coordinators are like that. Over the phone or emails, its very difficult to get a response and seriously, you can't feel any customer service. But upon meeting up (at least with Raman), I think its better. One thing to note is whatever docs that you sign or confirm (such as the printing of your names on the favours), it is best you check throughly before you sign and confirm. Afterall, its our own wedding and the onus is on us to make sure everything is ok.

Thomas>> You can call the hotel mainline and ask for Raman or his direct line 6730 1887. Try calling in the morning, easier to get him. Afternoons he's usually out for meetings.

But to all, you must have patience when dealing with GWP coordinators..haha =)

Hey Hey.... Mine coordinator is Raman too! I had the same feeling with you guys. I guess they are just too busy to read e-mails. However, after meetup, I was pretty much impressed.

Also, anyone one knows who's the official live band that GWP engaged? We are given a pre-dinner performance. However, we are thinking of extending their services into our banquet.

How long before should we contact the live band if we want to extend their services?
 
I arranged to meet 1 of the coordinators the past weekend (don't wanna say who) for a viewing of the ballroom (Tudor).

After we met up, she informed us that the Tudor ballroom was currently having an event but we could see the outside -_- My fiance and me were quite disappointed because we needed the see the inside of the ballroom to make a decision about which hotel to get.

Knowing that we were going to meet up at the timing, the coordinator should have re-scheduled us to another timing where there wasn't an event.

We then tried to ask for some perks but the coordinator wasn't compromising.

If I'm not mistaken, Min Jiang @ GWP serves the food for Chinese wedding banquets at GWP. What do you mean by considering MJ @ One North?

I feel the same about Raman. although at first, he doesnt really reply to ur mails. He does know his stuff and i feel he did a good job so far! very friendly and personalised service=) very happy!

Hi, can anyone advise me whether portrait stand and waiter-table ratio of 1:1 is a norm given by the hotel?

I was told there will be no portait stand and waiter-table ratio is 2:3. Any comments and advice?

Also, they only quoted 1 parking lot for bridal car, as other hotels would give 2 to 3 lots, it seems that they quite inflexible.

Furthermore, i have to send 3 to 4 emails of reminders with 1 to 2 calls before they get back to me.

Quite disappointing as their service is not aligned with their status.

Never heard of it being mentioned as part of the perks/inclusions? You may have to specially request for it.

How many parking lots would you require at the entrance?

I had not had issues with getting replies. Sometimes a gentle reminder is needed, but once done, action is taken straightaway with apologies from my coordinator.
 
My wedding is in December this year! Heard they are going to change the carpeting for the Tudor ballroom in October. Keeping my fingers crossed!

My coordinator is Anthony. So far I've been more than pleased with him. He replies to my emails and sms-es promptly and I've no problems what-so-ever so far!
 
I got Raman as my coordinator. Very accommodating and he definitely tries his best. But of course, he can be kinda blur at times like getting my name wrong....more than once
 
My coordinator is MeiFung. Though many bad comments about her, but I still decide to give her "chance" and I myself will pay more attention on the details then. So far, she had been replying my emails very promptly. I was not given much additional perks since was taking the DBS promotion. Just that I requested late check-out and helpers' room which she said sujected to room availablity. She also throw in free drinks during the solemization and give a better price for rental of the poolside for solemization. She told me I will have 2 bridal cars' parking lot too. So far, she had been quite ok. I think not as bad as what is decribed in the forum. Afterall, she still represent GWP hotel.
 
My coordinator is MF too. So far I think she is ok. I was told that couples who sign up after Lunar 7th month have to pay a table price than is higher than those who pay before. Not sure how true is this. Anybody wants to verify with me at [email protected]? =p

Lala - $500++ is the normal price for those who booked a solemnisation venue together with their banquet.

Lala - My price for a Sunday dinner is 1068++ I heard they going to raise the price after 7th month.. Not sure how true

GWP prices really increase by a lot the past few years =x
 
Hi, just went to view the GWP ballrooms these evening and really loved it.

Am wondering if anyone ever held a wedding lunch at the Windsor room before? Really want to know the experience.

Also, what are the extra perks you all managed to get out of the Stuart package?

The only bad thing was the room tt they giving us fir the hotel stay was only the deluxe room per the package.. Dun even have the junior suite... Any idea if anyone was able to get an upgrade?
 
Sat and public holidays price will increase from $1188++ to $1268++ starting 1st Oct! I've just signed today at $1188. phew...
 
Hi, anyone wants to sign with GWP but have not been assigned a coordinator? Pls email me at [email protected]. I'm trying to collate a few couples and "recommend" to GWP. If I managed to get sufficient (maybe 4 couples) to recommend, perhaps all of us (me and those who I recommend) can get free upgrade of menu!

Wkday dinner $888++($918++)
Lunch (anyday) $808++(868++)
Sat/Sun $1188++($1268++). Sun is now 9 course, instead of 8 in the old package
