Frederick Lee Bridal

Hi Jasmine,

You can check out his price package on his website @ frederickbridal.com

I'm thinking to choose him as I feel that for designer's range, his price is very very resonable! My visit with him was fantastic! He waited for us even if he has closes already and let me try about 4 gowns. He has spent about 2hrs with us that day!

Very patient guy and nice to chat with too! However, after reading the forum it does put me off from signing with him... Especiallt when most BTB commented on his attitute.

Sigh! Dunno if he has a mood swing all the time or not? Coz I don't want to be stuck dealing with someone like that for 3-4mths esp on my gowns!

However, still putting him in my top 2 BS priority lists. If anyone can share their recent experience with FL with me will be greatly appreciated!

Some of his creations are great but I found certain aspects unacceptable. Got a full refund just a few weeks before the wedding.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. Basically me and my FH is planning our big day to be next year end or so. So I'm starting to look at some websites for bridal studios, photographer etc.

I'm actually quite a fan of Federick Lee. Saw a gown of his in the mag many years back and fell in love with it.

I've seen some bad reviews here about him. Are there any more brides who had used him, or has signed with him able to share your experiences??

Also, I would greatly appreciate if anyone can give me some recommendations on bridal boutiques or photographer!

The other designer I am looking into is Ted Wu. I have read some good reviews so far..

Thanks a million!

I have a girlfriend (rich Indonesian Chinese) who could choose any designer she wanted, but she warned me that Frederick Lee is known to "choose" his brides. And he typically prefers the slim ones who can take the mermaid cut. I don't know how true this is, but I am going to visit him this Sat. Can I ask those of you who visited his boutique - are you served by him on the first meeting or do you get to see him only after you've signed up?? I know for Silhoutte and Kai the designer saw me on the first meeting. But for Bridal Veil, nope. What abt FL?

Hi gals, I am new here and also a fan of FL. My photographer friend worked with him for years and he is actually quite a nice guy if you know him well enough. I will be meeting him this Sat. Any other FL BTB?

Hello i'm considering Frederick Lee too. I think his charges are reasonable but I don't find him (or his asst) terribly engaging. I've visited his shop last week and was attended to by his assistant who was friendly and professional. Service is brisque and efficient i feel. Then i tried on 2 gowns both of which were made for a size zero 32A pintsize model!! Honestly I can't tell the cut of his designs and that's making me reconsider. I have a good sense of what i would like but Joe (his asst) made it clear fred won't make a full lace gown

sigh.
other designers i'm considering:
margaret brides
ted wu
tan yoong (i've not seen)
Are there any Fred Lee BTBs who can shed some light on this mysterious designer and his gowns?! Design and comfort are fairly important to me... Cheerio

Hi ALL,

I've signed with Yu Hsin from Tinydot Photography for my Pre Wedding Shoots in Paris, For Period between May 17 to May 24, 2009.

Im looking for another keen couple to share and split the cost of the Makeup artist's service fees, flight ticket and accomodation.

Any keen parties for Pre Wedding, Wedding or Post Wedding shoots in Paris during the above mentioned period?

Let me know if you are genuinely keen.
Can PM or email me at [email protected] to discuss further, Thanks!

hi all,
I had the most terrible experience at Frederick Lee and wanted to share this in detail, because it was truly horrendous service and all brides-to-be should be aware (in fact I literally just signed up w this discussion forum so I can post this to warn future brides!).
It was my first time at the boutique and when I entered, and said hello and apologised for being late, his assistant was on the phone, glanced casually at me, and waved me in nonchalantly without saying a word. I was a little shocked, but proceeded to sit down. After a while of silence, as we were waiting for him to get off the phone, the assistant then came by, chucked a sheet of the packages and 2 albums to me and my bridesmaid, then rudely said this is our package and literally walked away back to his desk without giving us a chance to ask further questions. No further communication for the next 10 or so min while he was back at his desk, we had no clue if we were supposed to pick out dresses to try, or wait for him to come back. Finally we went up to ask what was going on, and he casually said we could try 2 gowns. I proceeded to ask if I was to pick 2 designs from the album to try. To our horror he said that the album he just gave us were NOT FL designs, only the first 2 dresses were. My bridesmaid and I looked at each other in disbelief, as we could not imagine why he had passed us an album of other people's dresses when we were there to see FL designs!
He then asked briefly what gowns we wanted (in a very disinterested way). My bridesmaid said we were looking for something edgy, but not over the top. He kind of rolled his eyes, laughing, and said he didn't understand what that meant - how a dress can be edgy and not over the top. He pciked out the most horrendous dress and when we said we didn't like it, he then looked over impatiently and told us to choose for ourselves. He then went back to his desk and proceeded to do his own stuff. When we said we kind of liked a dress on a display manequin, he said curtly that was meant only for fashion shows and not for brides.
We couldn't believe the service that was rendered. It was truly appalling and really plain rude and unacceptable. This is definitely NOT the way to do business, and we literally left because it was so unpleasant we didn'nt want to spend another moment in the shop. Getting a gown is really about the entire process and not just about the design, and I cannot imagine any bride wanting to endure this kind of treatment. I have not met FL himself, so perhaps he is a nicer person. But this is still no excuse for poorly trained assistants, especially because they are the first face for the shop. Absolutely appalling without a doubt.

maybe it is his assistant that is giving bad service and not FL
I have seen FL gowns on the magazines and they look real nice.
I am currently condidering FL and 2 other boutiques just based on the gowns i have seen featured

i think sometimes they are just too busy. Frederick delivers and that is what matters most. Good work can't be hurried! They are not sales oriented people. . . There are some bridal boutiques that serve very well, but ultimately, the sales people are not the ones delivering the gown you want. Enough said
