did not manage to negotiate anything extra. well, i think i will just put my helpers up at Hilton instead. I hope Four Seasons will be the correct choice. FH and I were so tempted by another hotel that offered us corkage waiver and free 30litres.. but i still love FS's ballrooms more..*hehe*
 


hi alya, rest assured that you've made the right choice. Just had my wedding banquet at FS followed by a wonderful 2-nights' stay. the service was impeccable. defintely worth the price!do try the massage, it was truly relaxing!
 
woahhh masssage...i saw the spa facilities too..
am thinking of checking into the hotel for a night stay this year...
was the massage pricey?

I've been quoted anywhere from $1200 to $2500 for makeup/hair. Its a little mind boggling..I just didn't expect to spend so much on it. Sigh.. the price of weddings...
 
Can't agree tat wedding is indeed a drain on our finance. We jus want a small wedding, only 12 tables, but in the end, we've spent like $7k+ on bridal package n photos, $2k on AD photography n videography, $2k on wedding bands, it's like sunk cost of $11k already.
 
for those we had it at 4 season, can I know the 2 nights starts from the AD or I can actually stay in one night and my second night is on the AD.
 
BenDi, the 2 nights actually start from AD. but u should be able to nego with your coordinator on this. This shouldn't be an issue.
 
so far my ROM total damage is $3757.MTM wedding gown from Dang and I am keeping the gown, package is like $3588, still top up for better MUA. I believe the banquet is going to suck another $3-4k and our overseas shooting will be another $3k, I am drowning now.

I have seen Chris Ling's work. Just my 2 cents worth, if u r goin to fork our $5k for your AD photography..maybe you can consider Kuang from 38East (previously known as Pentaserve) instead. His pictures are just BEAUTIFUL. Check out his website and I think you will be in love with his pics as much as me...but please note that Kuang does not do table to table photoshoot
 
I'm very curious what the average FS bride spends by the end of all this... without subtracting the ang paos.

I know when my wedding planner first presented me with a budget for $60k (we have 12 tables only) I was ready to pass out!

We've cut the budget a ton since then (barely recognizable from the original lol) but still.. our little FS group seems to be at the high end of spending/costs.

I can't imagine having 40 tables.. I don't know how you girls do it. Eeeks!
 
Squeakers, we're having a damage of 30k. 15k from FS of 12 tables. Another 15k from BS, PG/VG, angbaos, rings etc etc. I guess we could only recoup the max of 12k from angbaos (if every guest is generous to give $100). So we still hav to fork out another 18k.

Not inclusive of honeymoon yet.
 
Keke, yeah...i jus hope every guest can give $80 then there'll b better recovery cost for banquet.

Not planning for honeymoon at the moment cos we're pretty financially drained. Prolly i'll take 2wks leave to go shanghai and nua haha.
 
Squeakers, the whole wedding costs about 30k - including 23 tables, expenses at church, but excluding all the jewellery and the honeymoon. The final bill will probably be around 12k, net of ang pows.
 
Hi Squeakers, I agree with roses. My bill came up to $40k including 24 tables, bridal packages, VG, PS. Net of angpows, about $15k. Honeymoon was another $2k.
 
I don't know what my final bill is going to be. We had to do ours ala carte so there's no bridal package that we can easily point to and say it costs this much.
I think we're prolly gonna end up in the 30k range though. Its so hard, everyone wants the 'best' of everything and nobody wants to pay for it. lol.
 
i am looking at about 30K for 12 tables + BS + wedding bands etc. that excludes honeymoon too
i think we would be looking at about 40k for whole wedding + honeymoon
 
I'm looking at around 35k for 15 tables, WG, PS, etc.. Like Squeakers, we dont have any bridal package either, so have to do ala carte for everything. Honeymoon is another 10k, so total's about 45k..sigh..

We had 12 tables at FS, and did a luncheon. The total cost of that came up to about 8k. Together with the cost for wedding dress, photo/videographer, car etc....our total cost was about 15k. We recouped 5k from angbaos, so wedding cost in .sg alone was 10k. This doesn't include honeymoon, and also another party overseas (husband is British).

The credit card company really loved us hahaha

tootsieroll, u had ur luncheon tis yr? I'm oso throwing a luncheon, but it's abt $720 per table. So i'm budgeting $12-15k for 12 tables inclusive of wine n beer. It's amazing that u keep within 8k

I had my luncheon last year (June 2005), can't really remember the price, but it's around the 70+++ mark.

I did my maths wrong (my excuse is having given birth, my brain is a bit like mash potato!) :P...my husband tells me that the total bill at FS came up to around 10k :P Angpaos were 8k. That was inclusive of alcohol.

So that means my total cost for wedding in .sg was around 18k. That looks more accurate hahaha

the price is exactly what Bendi wrote above, except Bendi hasn't included the +++ yet ;p And not to mention, has anyone managed to get any wine corkage waivers for the Ballroom 25 tables (i'm using a sat in Jan07) ??
 
Nvr the case for wine corkage leh...they're extremely sticky for neg. Partly it's a high end hotel so not a place to hag. But i do managed to neg for 2-3 bottles of hard liquor waiver.
