last wk, we seen the 30tables set up th FS ballroom, both my HB & myself thot the space alittle cramp for walking abt. Well, maybe u r rite abt that.

So how much did u topup for upgrade the suite? I heard there's only 2 of such suite on each level? true?

But there's really alot more cost to take into account. seat cover $2ea, LCD projector..but i know that FS hse wine is quite affordable! Is the taste gd?

Dun worry, it is not tat cramp. My evening gown has a train behind. It didnt even get caught while I walked fr table to table.

We didnt top up for the upgrade. It is complimentary. There is an interesting reason behind this but cant share it here. Sorry! Yes, there are only 2 suites on each level.

If u hv a budget constraint, u neednt opt for seat covers cos FS's seats are nice & very presentable. They come in gold frame. Seen them before during another function. As for LCD projector, most hotels dun provide it for free. U can rent it outside & bring it on the AD for set-up. It is definitely more expensive if u get fr FS.

The house wine we chose is Pierre Ferrad something...a french wine. We paid $28+++ for each bottle. Those wine drinkers commented tat it is good. It is much cheaper to get the wine fr FS cos of the corkage u need to pay if u bring in your own.

i am also considering serving wine on AD. any idea how many bottles i prob be looking at if i have 25 tables?

have ordered a 30 litre barrel of beer but wonder if it is enough...

if i dun serve hard liqour, is it weird? how should i get FS to tell guests who request for it?

i am also having a montage presentation. have u seen the location of the screen? thot it is funny to be at the sides of the hall.... wandering if we could shift it to beside the stage instead... what do u think? will u be getting the projector from FS?

The location of the screen is at the side, had seen it when I was at FS to view the ballroom..I dun think the screen can be shifted..but can try asking the coordinators...most prob i will try to see if i can rent it cheaper elsewhere..FS charges are quite expensive.

By the way, any of you gals have any montage designer to recommend? I have not start on my montage yet...

think that montage is about $250-$300 while projector rental is $250. not sure if the rate is still the same... you can give them a call to check it out.

For my case, my guests consumed 35 bottles of wine & a 30l barrel of beer. We brought hard liquor but either no one asked or they asked the wrong person so didnt open any hard liqour. The 30l barrel of beer was gone by the 3rd last dish so our coordinator told FS not to open additional barrel. My wedding was held on a weekday so liquor consumption is not tat high. Also, most of my guests r not drinkers. We also told the waitresses not to top up liquor automatically unless guests request for it.

It is cheaper to serve wine instead of beer. Each bottle of wine can pour abt 6 glasses (not to the brim). But, each 30l barrel ($680+++) can pour abt 95 glasses only. Each bottle of wine fr FS is only $28+++. So, u just do your own calculations.

Ya u're rite, weekdays wine/beer consumption is uasually lower coz next day they need to work. FS advise us a barrel of 30L,one wine per table will do.

But juz to share, the hse wine now starts at $32+++. U r so lucky to hv it at $28 last time!

So u had upgraded ur suite,so nice. any trick? email ya if there's.haha...

I have contacted the supplier for the mini latte cup that u have provided me... but it only come in boxes of 200 pcs.. which means that if I need 250pcs I would have to buy at least 2 boxes which is 400pcs! They dun sell in loose pieces..

yup, weekday liquor consumption is quite low. Considering tat most of my guests are non-drinkers but they consumed more than the liquor we had.

Oh! Price increased again. Luckily, gotten married oledi :p

Just told some gals here abt my upgrade. We topped up for some more expensive dishes fr Jiang Nan Chun menu. Also, cos our wedding was on weekday...easier to ask for upgrade. But, FS wont promise. U will only know on your AD if u get the upgrade or not.

Yes, u need to get denomination of 200 pcs. Wat I did is I got another bride to share with me the mugs. If not, u ask the supplier if she has another one asking for the mugs as well. See if u all can share.

The Show this sat is apparently by invitation only. I also din know abt it til the event manage invited me. I went down to see their ballroom last week.

I think if u wanna go, call them up and tell them you interested.

Just want to check w those of you who had ur wedding or going to have ur wedding there....wat type of bridal room did you get? (besides Cheerygal who got the suite *envy*) I have viewed the bridal rm that comes w the package and I must say it is a far cry from the suite. Am really disappointed

Of course must pay $ to top up for more expensive dishes. Upgrade of room is free. Basically, we didnt make additional request. My coordinator took his initiative to give us some xtra stuff without us asking.

FS does not have a fixed room called bridal room. The standard package comes with 2 nites stay in a Executive Suite. For my case, I got a suite too but it is bigger than the standard Executive Suite. U mean u have viewed the "bridal room" at FS? U mean it is not a suite?

Heeheee, sorry to confuse cos i din remember wat the rooms were called....ya, my package is with the Executive Suite (bridal room). The "suite" I was refering to in abv msg is the Theme Suite which was much bigger than the Executive Suite. Was that wat you got? That one is really nice

I see. I personally didnt see the Executive Suite before so not sure how small it is. Yes, the suite I got was quite big. This is how the suite we got look like but arrangement is slightly diff...the living rm is near the window.

The layout is as per attached. This is the same layout as the suite I got, except tat the bed is a king size one. Think this is called the Standard One-bedroom Suite. U can check out FS website for details. It is 91 sq metres.

Hello gals,
now talking abt the suite,i just saw the suites recently, the bigger suite (dunno wat its called) i think its more on the guest toilet which includes a shower area and for the executive suite its juz a toilet bowl there. The bigger suite is slightly bigger but otherwise the executive suite is good enuff. I was thinking of stayin one nite so my coordinator said can have the bigger suite, but i think i wld prefer to stay 2 nites in the executive suite. The executive suite will cost $500+++ and the bigger one is $800+++.

Yah, definitely staying 2 nites in smaller suite is better than 1 in a big suite

Like to ask abt seat covers.....think if not mistaken, it's either black or white. My coordinator advised that the ballrm looks quite elegant with black seat covers and red table cloth, but some ppl might not like it due to the large amt of black...heheh.

Wat do you gals think? Does anyone has any pics which you can share to see how it looks? Thanks very much.

I do not have any pics but have seen the ballroom with the black & burgundy set-up when i went to view the room... LOVELY! I will be using tat for my AD in Dec this yr... highly recommended by my coordinator too.
Its quite a bold try & off-tradition, so some old folks may not like it...
may be u can check with your coordinator when will they holding dinner with such a cet-up, then u can do dwon and have a look. btw, whens your AD? u dun have to decide till nearer to the date.

Hi Choccake.. so your dinner will be earlier than mine... btw, who's your coordinator ? Btw,have u chosen your gowns yet? If you decides to use this black & burgundy set-up then u have to take note of the colour of your EG, it can't be too dark in colour otherwise will not stand out in... do take note.

It's their own in-house florist from what I know. I had my wedding there a year ago. It was great, your co-ordinator will sit down with you to discuss the colour theme and from there, you can choose the flowers you want.

I also signed up with FS a few months ago and have just collected my invitation cards (the leafy translucent design) from Mr Ho this evening. The names of the 4 printing companies were : Generic Printing, Tdragon, Acepro & Jasvy.

Saw from earlier posts that you printed your cards at Jasvy. How did you decide on them? Did you have to give them the cartoon design you printed on the front of the card? Or were you given various sample designs to choose from?

Do you have pictures of your card and your wedding favour - latte cup, ballroom to share? Would love to see them. Also, can you please send me your contact for the latte cup favour?
