To all,

My wedding at Four Seasons was finally over last Sat afternoon (18 March 06) =) Everything went on smoothly and I can't ask for more. The whole catering team did their best to make my wedding a memorable one.

Like one of you mentioned, months of preparation just breezed by in 1 day. I wished that I have smiled more during my march-in (but I was really tensed and kept on tripping on my wedding gown =P) Now, I can't wait to see my actual day photos .

Anyway, both my hubby and I are still very happy with our choice of Four Seasons. Since day 1, our coordinator (Mr Ho) had made our preparation a easy one. Like many of the brides here, we do not have any freebies like free corkage or free beer. But in return, we were given great and attentive service, friendly smiles from the staff and a fuss-free wedding preparation. We think that's more important to us than ever. My sincere thanks to the whole team at Four Seasons.

Anyway, don't worry too much about your wedding. Just enjoy the day as much as I did last Sat!

Best wishes to all!

PS: The bridal suite is FANTASTIC! ^_^

Thanks Tansy and Beary for your reply.

Hi Ah Capp,

Congratulations on your wedding. Glad that everything went well !! I have to agree with you on the bridal suite. It was soooo nice, it was made specially for the bride hahahaaaa...since the bathroom is huge with big mirror. Hubby and I extended for one more night cos we love the suite a lot.

Hi Starris, thanks !!

I had a wonderful wedding at FS...hehehhee...wish that I could repeat that all over again. Honestly I did not pay much attention to ballroom setup, the day went off so quickly. I just remembered seeing huge red roses everywhere. hehehhe...guess must see my pics when they are ready. What do u think of Little Dream? My guests particularly like Hsin Yeow.

Ah Capp,

congratulations! Glad you had a marvellous day....18 March is exactly 9 months after we had our own AD at FS as well....sounds like it was also just as magical for you
happy.gif
The bridal suite is so wonderful isn't it? Wonderful amenities....I couldn't decide whether to shower, or take a bath because both looked just as nice!

For all who are hesitating about FS, I didn't even get to look at the ballroom before I signed up because I arranged mine from overseas. No regrets though! I didn't think many of my guests would drink, but before the meal started, already 15 bottles finished, and I only had 12 tables! Even though it was the cheapest wine on the list, I must say the $38+++ bottle is pretty good....nowonder everybody kept drinking haha!

Hi Evie, I was thinking of getting only 1 singer only...was considering of engaging Beverlyn instead of Hsin Yeow. Why do your guests like Hsin Yeow? How was the sound system of FS? There were only a pianist and guitarist right? Is the music loud enough?

tootsieroll, i'm oso having 12 tables!! my goodness, before the meal starts already 15 bottles gone... orghh...

mage, i'm taking 12 tables only, deposit is $4k.

Well Mage, u need to pay the amt sooner or later. I take it tat i pay $4k lesser on the AD, haha, less damage on the final bill i guess kekeke...

Tansy,
Mine was a chinese luncheon.....i think i had 8 dishes, also good. People can eat and still go shopping afterwards

Mage,
My deposit was 3k, but then when I was about to sign, it turned to 4k....this was when I booked in Dec 04, so I think the 4k hasn't changed for more than a year. Like Tansy said....sooner or later also have to pay

Hi Starris,

Somehow according to a lot of my guests, Baverlyn did not sing well that night, maybe she was not well. Honestly i did not remember single thing. I only remembered Hsin Yeow sang the 1st dish song and it was good. Maybe u should go and see them perform elsewhere again. I think FS sound system is sufficient enough, unless u do not mind spending on sound system. Hubby said the music was loud enough...according to him too loud somemore.

Hi gals!

It sounds like more people have used the Crescent ballroom. Did everyone use red roses as their theme or did anyone do another colour theme?

I'm glad everyone had positive experiences.. I'm planning mine from overseas so I'm quite nervous about stuff. Sounds like we made the right choice!

I also can't wait to see everyone's pics!!

Hey i jus received the contract. Need some advise on the beer part, we need to purchase either 30 or 20 litres barrel rite? wat if i purchase at 20 litres, and only consumed few glasses? or wat if it's not enuff, then need another few glasses, will they charge as additional barrel?

For bridal suite, it's all executive suite? One more thing, the march in, it's without dry ice effect, then i read no roses petals n such, meaning it'll b so plain ar?

Hi Starris, that's actually a good question. I am not sure whether the lady is Baverlyn or not. I did not ask her name....no time lah. TO be honest I did not notice her performance too...hahaha...

evie, I am interested in a Little Dream too. How to contact them? How long was the peformance and are they set up on the stage or at the corner of the ballroom. Do they perform only at FS?

Hi fudgecake,

You can call Hsin Yeow at 93681340. Normally they do 2 sessions of 45 minutes each or you can choose 3 sessions of 30 minutes each. The setup is at the corner of the ballroom. I think they perform everywhere, not only at FS. I first got to know them after seeing them in Conrad.

Hi Beary, evie & tootsieroll,

Thank you for all your best wishes!

Yes, the bridal suite is really FANTASTIC. Actually, I was very tired. This is despite my wedding was only a wedding lunch! Anyway, the breakfast served in the comfort of our suite is a great way to end our stay at Four Seasons. I mean, can u imagine someone is there to make hot chocolate for u?

Oh tootsieroll, I didn't know yours was a lunch too! =) But mine is a buffet. All the guests I talked to love the idea of a wedding lunch. More relax and casual. And yes, they can go shopping after that! hahahahaha

Hi everyone! Im new here, I am about to confirm my dinner with Four seasons but the price is steep and Im not sure whether is worth it or not. I am also looking at Hyatt. The ballroom looks old but has a romantic cozy feel. Should I take Four seasons? Please advice me. Also is there any issue that I should be concern of dealing with Four seasons? Thanks everyone!!

hi tubby,

no worries about choosing four seasons. we've been there and done that. service is par excellence and customers needs are met beyond expectations. i agree px is a bit on the high side... but its worth it.

hyatt is another great hotel. in fact, both are sister hotels as they belong to the HPL group. do visit them also. but i'll ask you to skew towards FS ultimately.... kekeke...

there shouldn't be any issue in dealing with FS. everything's done professionally and there are no hidden cost and tricks. you talked to anyone from FS yet?

Hi Jimmy! Thank you for the prompt response! My fiance is always not in town and I m left with the burden of confirming this very expensive purchase! I think we will go with Four Seasons. We have already got in touch with Lewis and we are very comfortable with him. We do like the ballroom very much. however, I have a problem with the decor of the stage. I feel the stage is too small and does not have a cozy feel to the to it. May I know where did you place the stage? Some prefer to place it facing the entrance, a shorter walk though and some prefer to place in front of the window. I like the latter as it provides a longer march. Which is better? Thanks Jimmy! By the way how much does it cost to extend another night in the bridal suite?
