Yes, i agree with vous. sometimes, i wonder is it due to the diff profit margin for the various brands? re LG being popular, i guess it is prob bcos of its lower cost. Well, I heard people say korean brand no good and japanese brands are better. but my mum's fridge which is mitsubishi gives her problems even when it is still quite new whereas my mil's samsung fridge still works very well after so many years. it really depends on your luck when come to buying elect. appliances. good luck to all.

Hi Piglet,

I finally bought the Fisher & Paykel GWC11. A neibourhood shop quoted me $750 which is cheaper than Best Connection ($798).

It works just fine and I like it.

Hi Yattb

does ur GWC11 requires a hot water inlet? Some sales people at Best told me that although the GWC11 is a 7.5kg washer but it can only take 6kg due to the pulsator in the middle. and the pulsator actually entangle cloths, is is true?

Hi F&P Dryer User,

Does your F&P dryer come with a flexible venting hose? Or you have to purchase it separately. If so, how much is it?

Also does it include the plinth? If not, how much?

Thanks in advance.

Can I check if F&P washing machine is really soooo energy saving as what my colleague has claimed? What's Smart drive - this technology that makes them stand out from the rest of the washers?
Would appreciate any comments on it!!

Hi F&P washer user,
I have just purchased their washer 7.5kg type. They never bother to explain how to use the washer, asked them through website and they will just ask you to refer to manual.Such poor service for so expensive washer than Japanese brand.I think they just want to make business, and I wonder is the washer so good as said in this website afterall.I am begining to doubt it.Want to know more ,can email me at [email protected].

wisely, i'm thinking of getting my washer and dryer from F&P, really got this bad ah...

did you ask them how to use when you buy it?
Did the manual explain what you want to know?
Is this common for all other brands as well, as in does someone explain to the buyer how to use? cos me first time buyer, so blur blur too..

For F&P Fridge E402B,

What is the difference between 'Iridium Stainless Steel' & 'EZKleen Brushed Stainless Steel'?

hi Stephen,

the Iridium surface is matt and dull. I personally like this surface very much. The EZKleen Brushed Stainless Steel surface on the other hand is smooth and more reflective. Its pretty much like the normal Stainless Steel surface except that the EZKleen has a protective layer that is supposed to be easy to clean and doesn't form finger prints and stain easily.

I got F & P fridge, dish washer and washing machine. Very happy with them as indeed they are energy saving. No complaint. My monthly PUB bills on average never exceed $140.

My washing machine is 7.5kg. My mum got 8.5kg. If you have a big family, 8.5kg will be good. Really big. If not, 7.5kg will be good enough. Er...not sure about the fridge. Sorry!

Two doors, not the really huge one. Average capacity. No need to buy very huge ones too as I read somewhere that you have load too much food in your fridge, that will use up lots of electricity too. Hope this helps.

my F & P w/m is now giving me some headaches. When i use for 2nd time wash (meaning washed one cycle already. another load wash), it tends to leak fresh loaded water thru the hose... cause it to keep loading h2o... till at a point in time, it gave up... so my clothes are being washed wif little water !! havent called for service yet.. so wat i have to do.. is to hold up the water outlet hose.. to prevent water from leaking.. then somehow the water got 'balanced' in the washer n den it will be ok.

Wow sunnyday,

Thats cool!!! Looks pretty sturdy. Hows the energy consumption rate of the dryer? Worried abt bills...haha

Hi Pearly,

not sure about the bill as yet to receive it. Am prepared as its really convenient. Its so tiring to hang the clothes and keep it there and then. We used it for our blankets too. Each blanklet used to cost us $8 to sent to the laundry. Dun think the bill to use the dryer would be $8 for a blanket.

Hi,

My F&P washing machine is GWC12. Wanted to get the other NWC12 but last minute changed to GWC12 due to other features like the auto-water level feature.

Both my washing machine and dryer was bought from Goh Ah Bee.

ya, its a water level auto sensor. Its so convenient as compared to my previous washing machines. Now i just put in my clothes and let the washing machine takes over. After that, i just transfer it to my dryer. Very easy. Laundry no longer a headache.

Hi Gals,

Can i check with you how long does the dryer takes to dry all ur clothes ? Do you gals throw all the laundry in to dry at the same time or do you actually divide the clothes into various type of fabrics and take turn to dry each type of fabric ? Also, when u wash bedsheets, will ur bedsheets be very wrinkled due to the dryer ?

Also, how much does ur electricity bill cost for the dryer ?

tks in advance for all the advices.

Hi Interrace,

Usually it takes more than an hour to dry up the full cycle especially if its a full load. Anyway, we just dump in everything from the washing machine into the dryer. We havent receive the latest bill but then it really help us to save alot of time from hanging out the clothes. Give and that. We just got so so tired of doing the laundry especially when we already sent the maid back and got 2 kids at home. Laundry seems never ending.

Hi BenDi,

I used to be using National and Sanyo. I've no regrets for migrating over to Fisher and Paykel.

http://www.fisherpaykel.com.sg/laundry/washers/models.cfm

Electrolux and Thomson also not bad. Thomson way too ex for me.

Hi Astrogirl,

Good choice. ED56 is at the moment the most expensive dryer from Fisher and Paykel. More expensive than AD55 but it has better features.

Hi sunnyday,

tks for the advice!
i have got the dryer myself..the manual one...which i think model should be AD55.
it take so long to dry ..90 mins..at least...and smetimes..certain pcs of clothe not entirely dry, so abit the puzzled, wonder if i use the dryer wrongly.
i also have not received my electrical bill, that's why am worried...hee...

i got my dryer from sweetson ..linda...tel no. 65668150.
i got my washer(electrolux), dryer(f&p) and fridge(f&P) all from her...

sunnyday,

I'm also looking into ED56 and wall-mount it.

But the other day at Best, the salesman told me
wall-mount long-term might got issue like the
wall cracking due to the dryer tumbling etc.

So far how do you find the mounting ? Robust enough ?

Also, is the wall mount bracket bigger than the
dimension of the dryer or as long as the wall can
fit the dryer dimension can already ?

thanks.

Hi winnie,

initially i thought gotta do some carpentry to support the dryer but the delivery man said the mounting is very strong so no worries. So I save on doing the carpentry.

so far no problem cos the dryer wont shake much. The mounting is very strong.

no, the bracket is just behind the dryer so u cant see it from the front unless u go to the side.
