Hi,

anyone owns a F&P fridge, washing machine or dryer ? How was the feedback so far and which model are you using ?

I'm thinking of getting the stainless stell F&P 521T model which i was quoted $1620 + 3% GST, and the ED56 dryer quoted $490 + 3 % GST

I have a f&p fridge, dryer and washer.

The dryer AD56 = 465 dollars + (50 dollars for it to be wall mounted.)
But if you want the dryer itself it is just 465.
Washer GWC-09 (7 kg) = 665 dollars
My Fridge is E411T = 1000 dollars.

But I cannot remember if it is +3 percent or not. So far I do not have any problems with any of them. But compared to the asian made brands, they are more expensive.

The F&P fridges are pretty huge, not sure which size to get. The model you had 411 is about 440 litres in volume right ? is that big ?

Does fisher paykel has front loading washing machine ? I didn't see any front loading on their website

For me the rest is ok, vege compartment. It may be abit small for a big family. But for 2 to 4, I think it is still enough. I had a space constraint, of 60 inches by 60 inches, and that fridge was the biggest capacity, and space of that constraint. If you do not have any space constraint, just buy a bigger one, especially if you are the kind who do alot of cooking. You can go down best denki and take a look. But my advice is if you dont have any space constraint, just buy a bigger one.

Kendra, I did not see any front loading washing machine from f&p in the stores. The smallest is a 7 Kg loading. And the speed is up to 1000 rpm.

You can find F&P fridge in Courts, Best Denki too. I bought that is not stainless steel though I like it, its $400 more expensive than the one I bought. I opt for the grey/cream exterior with matt silver handles. As Angelia mentioned, the inner compartment are the same, with glass shelves (other brand come with plastic shelves) and automatic sensor reminder if you dun shut your fridge in 60 secs. I hv been using it for about 10 months, so far did not encounter any problem. Hope the information is useful.

Just to add in that I also hv a F&P fridge. It's been pretty good. Except tt when we first got it, there was a problem with the shelves - won't slot in properly. My hubby made some noise and finally, they replaced it with a brand new fridge. The tempered glass shelves are pretty good. Better than plastic.

I got a F&P washer and dryer too. Works pretty good too.

And these are the pxs I paid:

Washer (GWC09 7kg) $685
Dryer (ED56 - has auto sensor) $480 (+30 for wall mount)
Fridge (E442B -S/S) $1550

Prices are inclusive of GST.

Just like to enquire. How necessary is it to buy a dryer ? I'm thinking of it but wondering if it will really be useful ? Since 2 person clothes not that much and can hang dry in the kitchen also.

F&P fridge is pretty good. They have deep compartment as compared to other brands where the compartment are shallow.

Just to add that it is normally cheaper to buy electrical stuff from those shops in the neighbourhood. Check out the models at Courts, Safe superstore and ask the neighbourhood store to order them for you. The price are usually lower.

One more thing..you gals should know some of these big stores offer Hire purchase service right? Heard that when the buyer can't pay the installments, the equipment is bought back to the shop for re-sale. Just beware in case you get an used unit returned from the HP scheme.

I had the same thoughts initially, but bought a dryer in the end. Cos i think there are times where i need to wear a particular favorite blouse, only to discover that I've not done my laundry!
So, with a dryer, it helps speed up the drying process.

I wanted to get the stainless steel F&P fridge, but after comparing around with other brands carrying stainless steel fridges, i finally settled on Ariston stainless steel fridge because the price is about at least $400 cheaper than F&P, and the interiors and materials used are the same (tempered glass shelves inside) and the same features too .. but of course F&P has more designs than Ariston to choose from.

Btw, isn't stainless steel very hard to maintain ? cos i find that it leave fingerprints on it very visible. U have any difficulty with it ? I like the stainless steel range but very expensive and afraid that everyday must wipe ! hee ...

yah , if you buy it, got to be sure you will use it frequent enough else might be a waste of money.

True true fingerprints are obvious on steel so just wipe it clean . i like the look of stainless steel fridge, very modern looking and stylish

i paid about 1200 for the Ariston stainless steel fridge ( capacity 405 in total ).

it's ok to get everything fr big stores. some of my friends did cos they wanted the additional 5 yr warranty. plus u can get interest free installments n get to use vouchers fr credit cards to offset the bills. but like what bubble said, be prepared to pay more for the same items.

I've got F&P washing machine and the stainless steel fridge in Jan this year. I bought from a neighbourhood electrical store that saves me about $500 in total compared to what the big stores charge. (Prices in big stores are more or less the same.) I called a few neighbourhood shops and made some comparisons and they told me big stores charge higher due to the rental in those prime locations. Warranty and delivery are both handled directly by F&P.

BTW, I got back $200 in cash from F&P as well during the new year promotion. So if u are not in a hurry, you may want to wait till year end and see if they will run the same promotion again.

I called up a neighbourhood shop to ask for F&P GWC11 washing machine but the man told me that it is no good. He said that it is problematic and parts for F&P are hard to find. He recommanded me to buy Japan brand.

After seeing so many good saying about F&P in this forum, I am confused.

Me too... went to a shop today to enquire abt Fisher & Parkel. The guy in the shop told me that F&P is not that good. He said that Japan brands are better. He even showed me a survey that he had for ppl buying washing machines. LG and Thomson are one of the top choices... Now I'm in a dilema of what I should buy...

Wondering if anybody can help?

personally, i feel that every shop, be it courts or best denki or any neighbourhood shops, will have their own take on the best brands and the most trustworthy models... i think i've been to enough of these shops to have finally given up(!) on trusting them too much... every shop assistant will condemn some brand and praise another brand. many of them condemn korean brands but i think it's sometimes a matter of luck!

my final pick... f&p fridge and f&p washer. fridge cos it's stylish, sturdy, nice bottom freezer. washer cos it's big (7.5kg), supposed to save water & electricity (dunno how i would really know though). no super strong reasons really...

i'm going to simply stop looking now...
