Food was ok. Braised duck dish was too salty for our taste. otherwise portion was huge. The cod and crumb sauce tasted really filling

Besides filling our tummies, we also chose the wedding cards, favours, table cloth colours etc

All in all, very detailed session.

Complimentary parking coupon given is only a deduction. We found out that we still needed to pay $5 after using the coupon LOL

Hi ladies, for those who are interested in Copthorne King's Hotel: my partner and I went there for a complimentary food tasting last Sunday and we tried the cold dish, Shark's Fine soup (can't remember which one), Crispy-fried King Prawns with Wasabi & Fresh Fruits Salad, Braised Bamboo Pith and Baby Cabbage in Superior Broth, Wok-fried Fine Rice Vermicelli-Hokkien Style, and Steamed Yam with Pumpkin and Gingko Nuts.

Honestly, everything tasted very yummy even the vermicelli---the only thing we didn't like was the use of baby cabbage, which made the dish look cheap. In any case, that element should be negotiable. And I really like the Or Ni (steamed yam), they did it really well. No "oily" smell.

My partner and I are quite keen to do our wedding dinner banquet here, cause it is quite value-for-money with the quality of food available. I also quite like the charming Chinese-inspired interiors of the Tien Court Restaurant. Not too ching-chong and not plain jane at all.

We went to Riverview last week for dinner (as paying customers) and we felt that CK was way better in terms of ambience and food quality. Worse, there was no lift access to the carpark for RV, and can you imagine all the girls walking up in their heels? I am sure my grandma will complain too. heheh

Hey Wanni, what do you mean by "Free every 15th table"? Do you mean that if you book 30 tables, you will get two free ones?

Hi all,

just completed our wedding recently at Copthorne King's Hotel. Overall we were satisfied with the handling of Gan Wong and Team. Just a few pointers for future bride and grooms to be.

- Ensure that you are dealing with one coordinator instead of 3.

- Ensure AV/Music is tested and retested before and during rehearsal (our first march-in was without music because of power trip suddenly and for later part, video was not able to sync initally due to older equipment. They had to replay it again)

- ensure guest parking coupon are enough. we had to buy additional 40 more. Get more if you can when negotiating

- Inform your guest free flow beer (If that is in your contract). We have a few guest telling us that waitress told them no more beer. Instead they drank our own wine bottles. More cost incurred on your end

- Bridal suite is very beautiful , morning breakfast served at room balcony after a long event is a welcome change.

- put jiemei and xiongdis in charge (task them because you will be not be free at all)

- Food portion and quality no issue, many if not most were very satisfied and happy.

- Try and enjoy yourself and good luck =)

Dear all,

Copthorne King's Hotel Singapore is organizing a wedding workshop on 12 August from 12nn to 6pm. Admission fee is at $28nett per couple (pre-registration is required).

Xixi, my hubby and myself just register for the workshop. Heard that there is bridal gown show, food sampling, wedding vendors, Lucky Draw and more.

If you are interested to join, I could forward the registration form to you.

Hi Little Swallow, manage to sign on the wedding show package? My GF signed for next year Oct 13. She has about 30 tables, with the free beer and wine, after calculation, she may save about $1000 to $1500 depending the drinkers's dummy! Met Gan and his new assistant Irene, will be back for anniversary dinner with hubby and the little one. See you!

I held my wedding @ Copthorne Kings in MAy 2012.

Food ( master chef is celebrity Chef Ho ) = Very good as per guest.

Service especially from MR GAN (F&B director) is especially good, He is there to ensure everything goes well and also guide the couple from start to end.

Irene - wedding coordinator was patience throughout our selection of song, food +++

Ambience = Traditional Chinese style chinese restaurant.

Only drawback is there is many pillars which they tried to tone down using many projector screen.

Anyway, anyone knows if they got give any freebies like dinner or hotel stay for 1 year aniversary? hehe.

Prince, thanks for the info. Have set my mind to hold my wedding at Copthorne Kings. By the way, is the hotel accessible by MRT? As most of my guests are taking public transport, I want to ensure that it is convienent for them to reach the hotel.

I've placed a tentative booking for Corpthorne King's for my AD in March 2014! Gonna view the AD setup on 2nd March 2013 before we place our deposit! Super happy with Irene's services so far! She's been prompt in replying emails and love the way she presents the hotel package to us, sharing little details to make our day extra special!

The restaurant gives off an oriental feel which we love! There's only 2 things that bothers us just a little bit... the stage not being in the middle of the restaurant (because it's 4 sections opened up to make 1 hall) and there is no spotlight to follow us when we march-in.. but it's ok! I can live with these issues!

Cant wait for 1st March 2014 to come!

I attended one of the wedding last year in June. Their hall is having pillars but they have the live-telecast on giant screen so we still able to watch all activities and their ambience and food was good.

CK having wedding workshop on 23 & 24 March 2013, my fiance and myself will be going to know more on their packages. I believe still the food quality come first :)

I'm considering ck. May I seek your advice?

is the Place hard to find?

The food shouldn't be a problem since there are so many good reviews.

Seems lile the pillar is a problem, can the live telecast really solve this thing and make the guest comfortable?

I was recommended this hotel by my BFF.
She told me recently she attended a friend wedding @ Copthorne King, the food was marvelous and highly recommended!
After that wedding, her friend's relatives mostly engage with this hotel.
So i myself have shortlist this hotel too.
I believe Good Food are far more important than ambiance. Atas Hotel doesn't mean the food is nice.
People will always remember the food and not how atas the place is. Guests Happy=Hosts Happy

But i do like if any brides held their wedding here please do leave a feedback for us about their service and stuff.
Thanks!!
xoxo
