thanks for your advice.. looks like it is better to move out and stay by ourselves.. but if i took up his parents offer.. it means i will be staying with stranger.. i barely knew her even though she has rented the room few yrs back.. headache.. but one thing good abt that flat is that it is a very huge 5 room flat.. compare to my pinnacle..

u renting an entire flat? i shop around already.. at least 1k per mth.. if i rent from dec 05 till pinnacle, my total rental will be approx $50k.. not willing to pay for something not mine..

i am for moving out too.. when you stayed with your IL, your hubby will never be able to carry out his role as the head of the household.. coz that household belongs to his dad...

i think 1k for a flat is too much liao.. my own place may not be ready after my wedding too..so my FH did some research.. it is possible to get a walkup apt - studio or 1 bedroom apt in the east side for less than 1k coz apparently there is over supply of apts available for rental... no special lobangs... perhaps you can check it out too... also, i got a colleague who is paying 750/mth for a 3room flat at tiong bahru side...

i think finances wise, you can trust God with it.. i am taking as if the rent is a payment for my newly established home... =)

eh, wat do you mean by PS album? you mean digital camera vs analog film or traditional 1pg 1 pose album vs collage album?

for the former, analog is better for PS shots... for the latter, it gotta be your preference lah.... you should see if the artwork (i.e. layout) of the album is nice and prob the additional costs... of coz, you need to also note that not all pics are suitable for collage feel.. some look better as a standalone pics

i dont mind a studio apt.. if $750 a mth will definitely consider..

er as for the ps album.. i mean the actual album.. i have selected my pics already and actually requested for 2 digital album.. but now that i have bargain for 2 digital album.. i feel like getting one trad and one digital collage album.. but digital album is more ex.. so dont know whether it is wise to "downgrade" to a cheaper trad album..

Was thinking since the main thing is not to stay with your inlaws, I guess the other flat that they are offering you should be a good choice too? You can save up for your renovation at the same time.. guess it's more of the inconvenience you will face with someone you don't know.. but it also saves you the trouble of explaining to your inlaws why you 2 are finding another flat instead of staying in one that's already there... You can just do some simple furnishing/renovation for the room first.

Hee.. I'm actually in a dilemma about the album too.. haiz... simply can't omit anymore of the pics liao.. so now got to decide whether to top up for the magazine (digital) style where I can have more shots/poses in the album.. haiz.. MONEY again!!!
 
Hi all, been following this thread for a while but didn't post anything.

~e~, my friend did that actually. she had her church wedding at around 9.30 in the morning, followed by a buffet lunch at a hotel. (quite formal, RSVPs) it was quite ok because the 2 venues are not very far apart, and most of the people drove or car pooled.

does anyone have any idea where i can find small table floral arrangements (really small ones...dried floral arrangements also can) so that i can put in front of my unity candles to decorate it?

i saw some very nice ones at coffee club at raffles place just now and had an impulse to grab it and run! hahaha..

BUT i was too shag to do so... long day at work.

btw, i had my honeymoon all planned! woohoo! booked a small service apt that comes with a kitchenette... so i can whip up something nice for husband dearie! hee.

pls keep me in your prayers. Have just lost my job. personally I am ok... so don't need to worry much for me.. It's just a case of clash of persoality vs work culture.. Am not really cut out for the job scope... hence, pray that I can find a job in the Teaching or Social Work industry.

Feeling a little anxious esp when ppl ard me keep checking if I'm doing ok. Think the more they ask, the more paranoid i get

Just had my church rehearsal last wed, quite an interesting experience. My dad was very agreeable tt day inspite him having some objections abt Church & christians. Enjoyed watching my flower girl, page boy & bridesmaid walking down the aisle ahead of me.. Gives me a clue on how it wld be this coming Sat

I think the whole wedding wld be a blur when it is finally over! But I thank God tt the photographs, video & recounts of my frens would help me recap of the 2 days events.

Yes I will still be coordinating it and Ngiap Heng will be shooting it. Service wise its still pretty much the same for the clients I think. Its just that I no longer work in the same office and there will be co-ordinating between me and the photographers. But it shouldn't affect the clients at all so not to worry okies? You still get my undivided attention and service and his professional photographic services

Must show me ur AD photos after it's over. Very eager to see how PLMC looks like with flowers and decorations. How many guests are u inviting? Will the sanctuary look bare if there are only abt 400 guests, cos it is big? =)

Hmm, i have about 350 guests (max), and most likely the space occupied wld be the middle aisles. Tt's better than to have guest spill over to the side aisles. Coz there wld be no projection onto the screen, so guests on the far right might not be able to get a gd glimpse of what's happening at the center?

I think as long as ppl who matter a lot to me turn up, whatever the numbers are going to be, isn't going to be too huge an issue. Save the part of food wastage at the tea reception.. heehee

Hee.. sometimes, it's so easy to say.. but to cope with work, church, marriage prep as well as other outside commitments really takes lots of effort/time management....

Just to share an advice from a friend : <font color="0000ff">treat everything as a blessing from the Lord..</font> hee.. it happens only once in life... so must treat every stage of our preps with joy and enthusiasm......

Hee.. was doing up my invites and program lately... and through the process.. started to think of how much help I had from you gals over here..

Really felt thankful/blessed to have such sisters around who feels no qualms about sharing information and comforting one another when in need......

I asked this question before too somewhere in the other threads hehe... then went to the "HELP" section to look at the format message part.. it's quite detailed but I really took some time to succeed cos can't really comprehend it so tried the different ways and interpret till I got it right.. anyway here goes...

Example :
you want to bold the word "apple"

you type : \b(apple)

for the brackets after \b, use "shift" and the bracket beside "P" on the keyboard

Ya i agree, the numbers aren't important.. it's when you see pple who meant lots to you turned up to witness the occasion that really makes the day :D

Perhaps it's also why I wanted separate days for the Holy Matrimony and the banquet dinner... just didn't want the day to pass by too fast hehe :P

if you want blue and bold at the same time,
type \b(\blue(apple))

I use the normal brackets to show you if not, can't show it here... the formats will take place instead if the correct brackets are being used.... so remember to use the shift and bracket beside "P" k.
