Never expect to make $$ from dinner. But mentally prepare to lose few thousands, as we will at least have 3 empty tables due to Dad's Malaysian relatives not coming. We shld have planned dinner at resturant instead. Now can only leave it to fate liao!

I like to suggest that you take it further in your negotiation with the hotel, see if they can allow you to use the payment for these three tables in other ways, for example, longer stay at the hotel.
