Beware when buying wedding shoes

Hi,

I'd like to share my bad experience buying wedding heels at Anna Nucci Far East. When I was trying the shoes, I commented that the heels were too high. The lady then said confidently that it can be cut at "our shop downstairs" and that "many customers buy the heels and cut it downstairs". It thus sounded as though the shop specialises in selling heels and getting them cut at their shop downstairs.

However, she then told me that there was no size and insisted that I pay full for my reserved shoes since "they will belong to only me". When I finally got my shoes more than a month later, another salesgirl of the shop told me i have to pay $7 to get it cut downstairs and that the shop downstairs don't belong to them. The boss (whom I later spoke to on the phone) told me that they "will not be responsible for any damage done to the shoes".

I felt thoroughly cheated since I had to keep nagging them for my shoes and then find out that whatever the salesgirl had promised were all lies. The worst thing was that the boss told me over the phone: "The girl is new. There's nothing I can do about it. I cannot make all my customers happy."

So the moral of the story is,

DO NOT PAY IN FULL BEFORE U GET THE GOODS. Or u will have to endure lousy service and attitude and most likely suffer for it.

I hope i'm the last one to get cheated there... just sharing so that other brides to be can have a happier experience buying shoes.

Wah..

My friend was looking for a wedding shoes with them (Anna Nucci Far East) just last Saturday. It costed $138 after discount.

My friend was almost about to buy a pair, but after our comments, had a 2nd thought. The heel was too high and we thought one larger size may enable her to slip in a foot padding for extra comfort. However, the store had no stock. So, my friend withdrew (the pair of shoes was already on cashier table!).

The sales person insisted that she put in deposit in case no more stock bla bla bla bla. But I asked my friend to stay firm and say NO. Come on.. Anna Nucci for $138? I could almost buy a pair of white GUESS shoe! So, my friend stuck to her gun and said NO.

I should have taken the picture of face of the sales person (and the lady boss). They were pitch black! What a service!

Wow.. Anna Nucci service doesn't seems too gd. Went to harbourfront branch one day and saw a nice pair of shoes suitable for my wedding photoshoot. They got me a pair which is my size and informed that it was the last pair in the shop. However, the shoes got some stain on it.

I asked them to check whether there are stocks at other branches so that I can go down to that particular branch to make the purchase. Instead of checking with other branches first, they requested me to pay in full to reserve the shoes. Then they will check with other branches whether there is stock. If no stock, I will have to take that pair.

Wonder what service standard is that. If I'm not satisfied with that pair of shoes, why should I pay in full?? I rather go to other shops.

CutieKitty, good that u didn't get tempted to put the deposit.

I SERIOUSLY TOTALLY will not recommend anyone to Anna Nucci. Very bad service, very high price!

Alternatively, check out Vie Vie at shoe counters at leading dept store (OG, Taka, etc). Some other brands also have blings on their shoes.

ya, quite suspicious, maybe posted by competitors.

I bought my bridal shoes from anna nucci, so far so good, no problem with shoes and SA there.

I bought my bridal shoes at Anna Nucci on a weekend too... so far so good... the employees were patient despite many girls in the shop (considering its small shop front)... hm.... Plus, I got my shoes on a discount, less than $100. =)

Hi hi i was also looking at wedding shoes at Anna Nucci but did not buy in e end...
can any1 share the photos of e wedding shoes?

Hi to all,

I also bought my wedding shoes from Anna Nuci back in Jun 09 for my wedding shot. It was quite ok.. Think service should be better at JP as the service gal check for availability & condition of the stock before getting me to pay for it.

I am going to wear the shoes for my wedding on 5 dec =) haha.. then I will be able to test the quality of the shoes then.. will update again =)

Hi,

I got my ROM sandals from Anna Nucci in August last year and I requested a row of crystals to be added in the front. Love the sandals lots. The sales lady was very nice and helpful. My pair of sandals cost less than 100 bucks. :D

hey my friend also bought this pair of shoes for her ROM too.
Really like it when I saw this pair of shoes in Far East outlet.
How much you paid to add a row of crystal on it?

I had a VERY bad experience buying anna nucci shoes at Jurong Point. I bought a pair of white kitty heels with a satin-ish bow. Looks very pretty. Cost me $42.80 which is very steep actually. Bought it JUST before the CNY weekend.

I started wearing it that friday and by saturday, dozens of white thread had started coming off by the sides.

Went back once during the cny weekend, and obviously they were closed. Work week came along, I had no time to go back. By the time I went to them, it was JUST 15 days, inclusive the CNY. And they said no refunds or exchanges because of 2 weeks policy blah blah.

whatever. so ok fine I agreed to them "repairing" the shoes. They said they'll take a month cos their factory is overseas blah blah blah.

whatever. ok FINE, I still agreed.

I was shocked when they came back to me like a week later and told me the shoes are ready. I went back about a few days after that and was utterly disgusted. The sides were SEWN back and some of the finer threads were obviously still flying about. I don't know what constitutes "repair" to them but no person in their sane mind would buy such a pair of shoes in that condition.

The lady boss "Joyce" talked to me on the phone and I had the WORST experience talking to somebody like that. VERY rude and kept making all kinds of excuses and very defensive, implying it's my fault blah blah. She said they had to do it at their "local factory" cos all closed for CNY in china and if I really want to, I will have to wait for ONE MORE MONTH to get my shoes "repaired".

and the WORST part of it all is that she actually hung up on me.

People do not make the same mistake as me. DOn't buy overpriced SUPER LOUSY quality shoes from anna nucci jurong point.

jo_nel(joinsg): My goodness!!! I'm so sorry to hear your experience with them. Hmm...by the way, is Joyce local or from taiwan/china?

Gosh..i m actually keen to get their shoes but i tink i shall have my 2nd tots. Actually "aim" for 1 pair of high heels oredi for my photoshoot.
lucky i didnt buy in the end cos bf tot it was pretty ex ($160+) for a pair of non-branded shoes. The SA actually told mi that it was oredi discounted!

The quality of shoes really that bad?

Hmmm....well! I have total contrary view, I also bought my bridal shoes at Anna Nucci, Jurong point but was much PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE & SHOES

The SG not only went at length to service me she also took time to explain to me how i could use the same pair of shoes in MANY DIFFERENT WAYS and how i should take care of my shoes.

The SG also recommended that I could get the heels of my shoes cut shorter at a cobbler shop at Far East Plaza.

When i went there two days later i forgot the address so i went to ANNA NUCCI at the FAR EAST PLAZA branch to ask one of their staff there, a pleasant lady happened to be there as well at that time, introduced herself as Joyce (one of their STORES' MANAGERS) approached me and eagerly explained to me how to get there, and after seeing the shoes i had brought along she asked if i knew how to TIE THE STRIP & THE RIBBON of the shoes so that they would look as though i had DIFFERENT PAIRS OF SHOES so that i could use them for different occasions. I told her that i was not so sure, SHE then DEMONSTRATED to me the different ways that i could tie them.

This time round, in order to make sure that i remembered i took pics of them, and after that she went as far as leading me to the cobbler to have my shoes' heels cut.

So, what can I say! I give a thumb up for their service and don't mind advocating for them.

I remember what my mom always told me when i was much younger, she said " The same type of Rice that feeds millions of people of all kinds".

Many people tasted durian, love the fruit and some even get addicted to it but few tasted it, detest it.

Many foreigners who have visited Singapore, like Singapore and are willing to set up their families here, whereas there are a few who slam it, and this number of proportion, though small, will go up when Singapore becomes more and more popular as more and more people visit us. The same thing goes to a brand, place or a person.

Attached are some of the pics I have taken to show how my shoes can be use in different ways just by re-tieing the strip and the ribbon.

Hope it will be a good info for the new BTBs.

Oh, Finally got them Cropped to the right size.

Just imagine, actually the first 4 pics are of the same shoe and the Last 3 pics are of another shoe, I was able to use 2 pairs of shoes as so many different shoes for different occasions, How amazing!

Thanks to Joyce for her patient and the extra mile.

In Fact, I can further use the strip of the First pair and interchange with the Second pair and vice versa to make them into many more shoes again.

Hope that all these infos are useful to you all BTBs.

Hi Mel,

All together I spent less than $200 for my bridal shoes, a GOOD DEAL isn't it! furthermore they are vy comfy, they didn't give me any feet problems or blisters throughout the whole day that i wore, these are the rare few of the shoes that i have had that don't give me any feet problem as i have vy sensitive feet and moreover the workmanship is quite good.

Anyone knows where to 'cut' the heels of wedding shoes?

Bought a 3 inch heels and want to 'cut' the heels a little. Heard there is one cobbler shop at Far East Plaza. Does anyone knows the exact location?

I’m not sure what led to you feeling cheated, because I also needed my heels to be “cut” as it was a little too high for me; but instead of asking for advice from the shop assistant, I did it myself at a neighbourhood cobbler. I went to the Anna Nucci store at Plaza Singapura, and the shop assistant was very polite and helpful to me. Like many other forumers who have mentioned here, I had a pleasant experience shopping at Anna Nucci - contrary to what you had mentioned. What I really like about Anna Nucci is its intricate shoe designs that I’m so drawn to, and the prices are also not very high, considering the quality and amazing customer service that I had experienced. My pair costs less than $100, and I’ll definitely recommend Anna Nucci to anyone looking for bridal shoes.

Oh dear, I feel sorry for you to experience those. In actual fact, I had a good experience at Anna Nucci Jurong Point, the smartest choice ever made and the best buys for my wedding. Despite being an indecisive individual, the sales assistant assisted me through my choice of buys and recommended the suitable heels to suit my wedding gown.

I walked down the wedding aisle with no sweat and experience no pain at all. It is so comfortable that I have enjoyed every minute of my special day. Not only does it feels so comfortable, Anna Nucci owns the bestest and classiest heels ever. I still bring out this beauty for evening occasions after a month from my wedding ceremony and it has been in good condition just like it's first. Of course, I take care of my heels just like my little babies. I was also told that it only cost $1.50 to replace the crystal beads - how perfect?

Not sure how and why it was your worst, but mine have been all good. Good service + pretty and affordable buys = satisfied customer! ;)

Pretty choice of yours, Claire! Happened to pass this forum while wrting down my experience at Anna Nucci at other threads and it seems like this is out of place. My experience was at Plaza Sing and it was definitely good - sales assistant was helpful and kind, I felt really welcome. Heels are still in good condition not only for a day or two but it has been 2 weeks this heels have been with me, with a journey of hours of standing through my sister's wedding at that moment. And it is surprisingly comfortable! So, just curious of how this incident happened that led you into a furious customer when I am actually happy and satisfied with mine, hehe!

DONT EVER BUY ANNA NUCCI SHOES!!! I bought 2 pairs online and I had the worst experience ever. First off all, the delivery was super slow and when i received my order, the boxes were damaged and one of the shoes had stains on it. The heels of the shoes actually broke after I wore it TWICE! I insisted for a replacement but the boss said no because of their policy. I will never purchase from this brand ever again.
