Dear all,

I will be going to bangkok for the 1st time. After reading all the good remarks on Asia Hotel, decided to stay there during my stay in bangkok. However, fully book. Where else is a good alternative to Asia Hotel? Appreciate if anyone could just give me comments.
Btw, agency is asking us to chose between Baiyoke Suite & Pratunam Park as no need to top up cash. Any reviews from people who have stayed in these 2 hotels before?
Thks in advance

Eastin is not bad.
I stayed Baiyoke Suite before also and yes! It's old and dirty and the lift is so damn slow.
Bangkok City Inn is also quite good... new hotel... =)

Hmm... no... It's not near to any nite market...
In fact, the location is not very ideal... coz have to take cab whenever we go out... but then again, the cab fare is cheap... =)

I would think Eastin will be an ideal location.. =).. This is near the Pratunam Market...

HI ladies,
If I may add my 2cents worth... Eastin Hotel is less than stellar. Esp for the amount they charge. I've never stayed there before but I've been there to eat as the tour group we were with organised a meal there for us. Lousy. Not that it's very close to the Pratunam Wholesale Centre. There are other hotels in the same price range in the Pratunam area which are much nicer than the Eastin.

Hey... those who stayed at Swiss Grottino before, it that place location accessible? Stayed at Asia Hotel too many times, trying to find an alternative that is reasonably priced and convenient (preferbly near BTS)

Hi all,

you can try Diamond City, it's just near Asia Hotel, just a lane behind. It's a 3 star hotel, newly built. It's so much cheaper than Asia, and the nearest BTS, Ratchathewi station, same as Asia. Came across on the internet.

Since most of the time its shopping and only returning to hotel at night, so there is no need to pay so much for accomodation.

Just thought i share some info.

Hi

Try Arnoma Hotel.. Its a good location....The train station is on the left, beside the 4 buddha.

Opposite is Isetan, beside is another shopping centre... Diagonally right, it is Platimum fashion mall and opposite to platimun is pratunam market...

Its is not very ex per night too.. Breakfast also not bad... Most impt, the rooms are clean

Pricing is about $100 per night per room with 2 breakfast

Dear all,

Anyone can advice is Asia hotel near to MBK and World Trade Centre?

If not, take mrt how many stop...fr...where to where the 2 station?

hi maxxx,

asia is linked to a BTS station and just taking 1 stop, u will reach MBK & WTC(Siam).

Asia hotel BTS station is Ratchethwi (forgot spelling).so 1 stop after that is Siam which is the shopping district.
