what is this man trying to do, if he is really so breaking 2 family. Or is he just looking out vunerable woman. should we expose him?

yes i know, but it's really sickening that when they know that the woman are facing hardship with the marriage they come and take advantage of the vunerability

if it's someone who is regular around here, then yes, i believe u should... but then again u have to be certain the intentions are not sincerely seeking a fren. whatever the path, just be certain cos u could further destroy someone who is really seeking for a frenship after being trapped in his own...

i think some men have problems too, but being men, they may find it much more difficult to open up.

for this one, tendency is to think of the negative... oh well...

power, why bother to explain for him. If he's really misunderstanded, then he will stand out to explain himself.

I think his motive is quite clear.

Powder, if u use this word, discreet on the other,, is it obvious or not on what the man want from the TS?

janey,

u need to learn how to comprehend a post.

i am NOT explaining for anyone... i'm posting to the TS.

how the hell do i explain for someone whom i dun know???

read all my posts and tell me if u think i'm that dumb.

or do u think u're that smart.

my goodness, if u wanna start a witch-hunt go ahead... but dun drag every guy in for being a guy...

who is starting a witch hunt this is what u post.

power, I don't have any intention to destroy anyone in trouble. In fact i didn't even ask to look for soulmate or friend in the forum. I really feel he is just looking out for woman that is in trouble to take advantage of them.

janey,

i'm gonna give u just ONE concession for understanding and picking out the key points of a sentence...

"but then again u have to be certain the intentions are not sincerely seeking a fren. whatever the path, just be certain cos u could further destroy someone who is really seeking for a frenship after being trapped in his own... "

i'm asking TS to be certain. that's all there is to it...

as for me 'defending', pls note that is due to your poor interpretation. i certainly wasn't stepping to defend anyone or anything... i dun even know the fella nor his identity.

Dinnie

I have received similar PMs too, though not a "damsel in distress" myself. There was even a lady who's written me trying to influence/convert me to her sexual preference. I even corresponded with her for a while as I got curious about her, but not before I knew I wouldn't be won over.

I am not shocked. Well, isn't this world made up of all kinds of people.

The key thing is to learn to identify good from bad, and to protect ourselves from being taken advantage of by anyone.

Come on this is internet.. this is entirely laughable..

What is the intention the TS.. to ask for advice if the guy should be exposed?

Then my advice is just to ignore. What is the point of exposing when obviously it is just a nickname hiding behind the computer screen.

I think it is "All women with their imagination".

In this particular case, yes, the guy could have something up his sleeve.. but then his request is just to have MSN and be friends.... and are women really so meek that they would subject themselves to wolves so easily?

I received many email and even post in my blog.. women in distress or otherwise.. wanting to know me.. So do I think they are trying to hook me up? There was even a case of women saying that "she is better" than my then-gf.. and that I would fall in love with her if I meet her.. Entirely laughable..

Wah sm.. high market value that so many women wanting to know u.. i read your blog too. Maybe u are rich and at the same time, treat women too well so some are trying their luck.

hi all, if he is just looking for friends, then he will be looking for others in the forum and sending out his email to other even guys in the forum, asking to be friend.

Anyway his email name is 'Thomas Chang'

What's wrong with receiving some private messaging from other forumers? Must you see it in such a bad light? Its totally ridiculous.

One needs to guard themselves adequately. For sure, there are crocks lurking around. So, I understand your concerns. But not so, on your conclusions.... that all men are like this? You stereotype all men and already passed judgement on the person that pm you.

Completely agree with sm. Entirely laughable!

One advise for everyone, you shouldn't even use your usual email to register to forums or pm others. This is to protect yourself against people with all kinds of agenda. So what his name is Thomas Chang online? It really means nothing. Especially if its a newly registered account. He could very well be any Tom, Dick or Harry. Nothing so difficult to register a new email account with any name you would like.

that's is no problem receiving private messaging from forumer but if u look at the message u will see motive.

I am just asking this, whether Are all men like this? when there is a opportunity they will strike.

SM, Miloice, anyway I got your answer. For you, it's normal for u to send this kind of private mail to women who had problems with marriage. Tks.

Actually, it need not be personally normal for me at all. I do not pm anyone to befriend anyone. I only pm other forumers to offer personal advises that I deem too private. I don't determine others behavior. And I had made some online friends in this forum. I too pm to the few friends I could trust and probably offer me some advise with my own issues.

When you received an email, do you already judged the intentions? And going to the extend on trying to disgrace the forumer online?

If you didn't realized, your topic sentence is already with the negative connotation and suggestion. How would one come with such a question simply over an email like this? It reflects a lot about your thinking. And on how little faith and benefit of the doubt you give others.

i do recieve many private email, even from guy, but not that kind of message.

if he is not doingb anything wrong, what is there to disgrace

See.... you have already came to the conclusion that he is doing something wrong.

I would agree that its suspicious. And I would have probably just ignored the email. But, to already conclude his intentions based on that email? Come on. That's really very negative and suspicious thinking. Let it pass. Its really nothing. If you are not comfortable, just ignore.

There is really nothing to shame. Its just a very casual and harmless email. Your over eagerness to read into the intentions of others but blind to your own over reactions.... think over how its reflecting about you. How quick you are to jump to conclusions like this.

so to that it's ok to send that kind of message to a married women?

look into the mirror yourself, 'Your over eagerness to read into the intentions of others but blind to your own over reactions.... think over how its reflecting about you. How quick you are to jump to conclusions like this.'

u are just aruging for the sake of aruging. End of conversation with u. everyone have the right to start any thread they like

I'm pointing out the obvious negatives in your topic statement and reactions you are displaying here. Its not even an argument to begin with.

You make it sound like its an evil to befriend someone else simply because of their martial status. That is truly amusing.

For sure, you have your right to start and thread and no, you don't have the right to control how other forumers respond to it. Do you have an issue with others not agreeing with you? Let's both look at the mirrors. I have no problem with that at all. Self reflection is a great virtue that I really believe in.

do u think it's ok to send to a married women, just answer this: 'sorry to hear abt ur plight , was wondering if we could be friends? discreet is the key if u so wish.

we can correspond via msn 1st ? why not add me on my msn so that we can get hooked up :D

hope to hear from ya
i was juz wondering if we can be friends. im not having too happy a marriage either , so seeking a soulmate .

how open are u to another friendship or relationship? can meet for coffee or something ? let me know ?

it wud be best if u cud add me on msn :-)'

Frankly, I do have friends of all kinds of martial status and gender preferences. Thanks for your offer. But, I always have the option to decline without the need of any strong reactions.

For all I know, you could have pm me and I had long responded to your msg. But, I hardly MSN. So, adding you to it is pointless really.

cucliainne, yes i am ignoring. Just feel that it's so improper for him to do this.

miloice, read carefully, i am not asking to add u in msn, it's what that man wrote. i am just asking whether do u send this kind of messages to another married women.

dinnie, it is good to ignore this funny message but u dun hv to put ALL men in bad light... Your thread is " are all men like that" hinted that all men in spore and in the world are like that when it is only this male forummer whom had pm_ed u.

just ignore this message as it is pointless to argue over the unknown guy.

Okay..imo,it is apparent that the person who sent the message is obviously looking for more than mere friendship..

But I don't see it as him attempting to break up any family or taking advantage of anyone's vulnerability though. His intent is fairly blatant in the msg and he is probably looking for like-minded people here. The ball is in the court of the recipient whether to respond or ignore the message. I don't see any point in shaming the person actually but since u have already done so..

Actually, if a person's intent is to take advantage of a woman's vulnerability, he probably won't be so direct...but would adopt a more softer and 'sensitive' approach.

i would think that both the sender and receiver have their issues... sender - i already stated. and i just advise to make sure and be certain of the intentions instead of just straight jumping.

as for the receiver... making a mountain out of the mouldhill... typicaly uptight local women who Once married, do everything they can to try to stay chaste, thinks the world is watching their every move when nobody really gives a shite. they are watching themselves more than others...

the purpose of this thread wasn't abt the sender... it was abt the receiver, and her need for attention. the sender merely offered a platform for her to make a big hooha, and for other ladies to jump in to all declare how chaste they are...

there u have it. the actual intentions and mentality behind the women who can't wait to jump.

just a bunch of uptight pple... let's me expose u instead.

and i have been pretty cordial, yet some pple want me to agree with them that the guy is up to no good. if u have no farking confidence in your views and need agreement, then ok, but dun seek from me or others, nor screw us for not agreeing.

very very typical sporean... better off joining Stomp... u're the types who paste pictures of pple kissing in MRT and say "how can like dat?" and expect a reaction. u're the type who shakes head at others and think u have the farking rite to shake your head.

the issues is with u, not the sender. if someone wants to bed u, u dun just stop at no, u die die wanna expose them? u run around telling everyone he wants to bed u. u wanna Destroy him for even wanting to bed u.

ok lor... that guy asked the wrong person lor... u very good lor, u very chaste lor, u very solid lor, u very strong lor...

happy?

PS: pple are NOT STUPID. pple can read your intentions, especially if u're shallow. damn low level å°åŠ¨ä½œ

Ppl who usually send this type of email will use another pseudonym instead of their real names, so posting here is pretty pointless to me.

I get weirdos adding me to msn everyday (probably spammers) and I just click 'block and delete'. Its not that difficult to do...or is it?

"i am just asking whether do u send this kind of messages to another married women."

Actually, I have answered to that question on March 02, 2010 12:26 pm. And I think you are making it a big deal over what's so expected and common in the internet world. And when SM is trying to tell you how common it is, you go on to suggest sarcastically its because "Wah sm.. high market value that so many women wanting to know u.. i read your blog too. Maybe u are rich and at the same time, treat women too well so some are trying their luck".

You did it without realizing how badly its really reflecting about you. Your defensiveness towards those that disagreed and needless reaction to a simple email.

For Dinnie to have such a big reaction, one could only think that she has never been accosted by strangers before. Such approach is so common that it doesn't only happen on the Internet but also in the streets, MRT, bus-stop, taxi stand, clubs, pubs, supermarkets, training workshops, office, etc. If indeed so, must say she is rather underexposed.
