Are all man like this?

may be the guy is too straightforward, nothing wrong if you see or curious about it. i would say, let see what he want who knows he may be quite charming. just add him in the MSN, you delete it afterward if you want. just couple unpleasant sentences he wrote, most of all see him as a wolf or easy prey.

he is not asking to go to Hotel right ? just coffee ? why not tell him ask all his friends to come. maybe potential future partner.

Dinnie, is your husband a decent gentleman that make you unhappy ? ( sorry, i have no idea about yours issue here , just guessing)

life without problems is as good as dead.

This is an Open channel not a library. if you expect somthing nice all the time, don't touch something call internet.

i tink dinnie just has to say no to him. dun add him on msn if u feel that he could bring more troubles.

what he did wasn't rite. pple confide here about marriage problems. some hope to get back together, some hope to get out of it. but i don't think i ever saw anyone here with marriage problems who posted here to meet another soulmate. only single people on the forum do that.

for those who really have problems in their marriage, they already feel so troubled. even divorce also need time to get over. where got the mood to meet another man or woman?

i believe this guy is bluffing and desperate to get "hooked up".

Wah, so many posts.

TS is obviously making a mountain out of a molehill. Yes, the guy may have other intention but he is not crude.. He asks to add MSN and coffee..

And No. I don't PM people I don't know. Actually I hardly ever PM anyone. I have many people adding me in MSN but I hardly ever logon to MSN.

On the other hand, I do make a lot of friends on the internet. Not only from this forum but in many other places. What is wrong with making friends with married woman and have coffee?

I don't think it is appropriate to use the word "normal" here. What is normal nowadays?

There are many weird people around and do we have to react to everyone of them? Or we see 1 weird man and then we say every man is like that?

Hi thanks for all your comments especially the 'regulars'. At least I know what the kind of world u live in, and luckily I am not like that. Tks .

Janey,

That's true.

It's just like I understand from some friends, when guys have affair, it's norm and forgiveable. But when it's women whom had affair, they'll be labelled as loose women or slut by the world around them. Man and Woman can never be the same.

yes, although it might be very common for this kind of man to send this kind of email, but I think we must not lower our moral standard and take it as 'right' things to do.

It varies from people. For me as a woman, my respond to such PM is to IGNORE them.. No point making a mountain over a molehill.. Guessing don't bring you to understanding. If you really want to know his intention, why not ask him?

If TS is uncomfortable in receiving such PM, she has the choice to deactivate such function. However, she has been "requesting" others to PM her (from other threads), so kind of "impossible"... =)

What World?? We are talking about Cyber World now.. If one gets so "uptight" over such tiny issue, how to "survive" in here? We can't possibly stop people from "spamming" us when we exposed ourself to the Cyber World.

janey, a frog in the well will take it as lowering of moral standards and seeing it as a very wrong thing to do. Those who have seen a bit more of the world will accept it in their stride. Not tat it is the rite thing to do, but there are all kinds of people in tis world. U urself should learn how to deal wif them instead of getting judgemental. Playing judge dun serve any purpose. Learning to protect urself does.

hi janey,

no one is asking anyone to lower anyone's moral standards. BUT, does anyone else needs to abide to the same moral standards as yourself?

Realize that whatever morals we have, its best applied for ourselves. We don't go round labelling others as immoral. What right does anyone has to do that? You brought up a very valid point, that people are different. It is precisely this reason why we need to respect others right to be different.

The funnie thing is, despite all the advises from so many forummers about ignoring what she isn't comfortable with. It aren't enough for her. And for anyone to disagrees that she should not make a great deal out of it, she sees it as the person is encouraging these actions.

Laundry put is pretty clearly. There is no need to put our personal view to condemn and judge everyone. The focus should be on awareness and protecting oneself.

dinnie,

like many others, I live in the real world. Where all kinds of people exist, including opinionated folks. These are the very people I do not befriend. Cos, their viewpoint is the only one they can and will accept. Some will come to learn their lesson while others might not. But, its a lesson they have to pick up themselves. No one can force it down the throats. The constant need to put down others in condemnation is plain shallow. Do you find yourself needing to judge and condemn and correct everyone around you? I prefer to channel such time appreciating those around despite whatsoever different pov they might have.

Powder pretty much exposed the intentions of such need to play judge. Think about them honestly. No need to tell the answers to anyone else for the reflection is pretty much within. No need to place pride in between.

continued...

You started this thread with a gender bashing suggestion and state your intention of wanting to 'expose' the sender. Do you only expect people to all agree and join you in shaming the sender? This is a forum dude. All kinds of different pov should be expected. There will be those that would question your intentions. Are they even noble or good ones? On the other hand, u accused me of arguing for the sake of doing so. Is that really so? I'm pointing of obvious points that one could reflect upon. I don't see that as a needless argument. But, if you so choose to ignore, so be it. No need for the accusation. Again, look at the mirror, what are you arguing for here? No one tells you to accept his MSN or friendship. If you don't believe, go read through the entire thread again. NOT ONE advised you to accept his offer. Is ignoring too hard for you? Think what can your over-reactions achieve? Nothing. There is no value in an anonymous online account. Broadcasting it in the forum has zero effect to the sender too. It only show how 'green' you are. Not quite the results you are expecting.

That kind of email reminds me of my ex boyfriend who tried to hit on my best friend behind my back. The intention is obvious. He's just plain itchy. He's disgusting and I feel sorry for his spouse.

What is the point of this thread? Ignore then ignore la.. need to create such a big hooha about the "ignoring part"?
