i'm thinking of having both at the same day but i don't know wat time should i hold my solemisation.
How was your arrangment like for both?
 
I managed to get Michelle give me the Granduer theme liao... haha. But still she dun wanna give me free flow coffee n tea not even afew complimentary pots. So inflexible.

It great to found someone who has the same arrangement as me! For me, the solemanization start at 6.15pm and the dinner start at 7pm. I think guests will only come in after 7pm plus. Do you think is it too rush? If I were to hold too early say 5pm plus, than my immediate family will have to go Amara too early.

Is your for all the guests or only immediate family? Any idea about the decroation? My ex-co-ordinator Liping said she don't have any photos!

I just email Michelle regarding the invitation card and favours. Seem like Amara is not changing soon. The invitation card still pending from management and than the favour now is still chocolates...

Mine is 5pm tea ceremony inside hotel room wif immediate families only, 6pm cocktail starts n 7pm dinner. Less than 2wks to countdown ;)

I tried Mattrew Lang C.S. last Sat, very very smooth but not frangrance enuff...somehow feels sth is missing in tat wine. Anyway, I am not a wine drinker...hahaha...

i'm thinking of holding my solemisation at 6pm, 7pm starts the cocktail, 7.30pm start dinner. I guess the timing should be ok. The solemisation is meant for our immediate family members only since my AD is a weekday.

If the solemisation is at 5pm....too early and your guests will need to loiter around the hotel since dinner start around 7pm.

Will your solemisation be held at the poolside?

yeah yeah, mine is on weekday as well. Yes, at swimming pool. I don't know how the decoration will be done.... Heard from ex co-ordinator Liping that she will move the chairs and reception tables feom the banquet itself. I guess not much decoration though.

Have u sign the contract with Amara for your banquet?

I have paid the deposit but till now still did not get any news from them regarding the contract...don't know should call them anot.....

ANyone attended wedding dinner at AMARA before? ANy comments?

FOr some of you that are using AMARA for your banquet, how's Michelle Poh? Is it possible to negotiate better perks if I want? Also..how much do they charge for solemnisation if in seperate function room?

i just signed with amara. i love the ballroom cos its modern setting, their reception area is also quite big. you shd check it out when there is a wedding function.

michelle is relatively new... we feel comfortable with her cos she is a young chick and really jovial and chirpy! better perks i dun think so. in fact if you want the best perks, go to le meridien and look for eric.

solemnisation is at $1299 i think.. price increase for this year already...
 
wah..solemnisation so ex?? how come! some hotels i know dun even charge that much! Haha...

At this moment is not nervous yet, hv not decide on the bouquet or wrist corsage...hehe. If hand bouquet, gonna be sunflower or gerberas.
Any idea what kind of flower is nice for wrist corsage?
After the ROM settled, will be my AD and flat thingy.

i got a set jewellery wanna sell on special price,juz bought it yesterday brand new c/w diamond ring,diamond pandant with chain,diamond earings total 1 carat from SK jewellery shop.My husband bought for me,but we found over our budget on planning,wanna let it go at $1400/=

I am back again... it was so tiring on my ROM day... walking ard, welcoming the guests. Felt so nervous just b4 the march in... wanted to enjoy the march-in but think walked bit fast then we slowed down alittle... haha
My hubby's hands were cold during the solemnization... gotto hold his hands to give him warmth...

Lucky for me that it was fair day... no rain.
Overall the service is good, food also not bad... we even compliment the service crew and my hubby gave them an angbao... However, they brought the signage and guest signature book late...so in the end not many signed it. So u gals need to ensure on this.

Congrats Renee, share ur pics when ready k?! Me still lotsa yet to be done esp the deco part. The pavillon is tricky for me as I dun need the solemisation setup so its pretty empty.

I have 36 guests... last minutes increase afew... lucky I ask for 1 extra table else my guests need to stand ard to eat...
