vienna: Sorry, just wanted to help out on the comment on your knees hurting. You'd need to take the pressure off the knee, so do avoid high impact exercises until you've taken some weight off. Yes, brisk walking is good, just make sure you're working at the right intensity and for at least 20 minutes each time. Try deep water running too, it's pretty hard work without the stress on the joints. Try to start with at least 3 days a week of such exercises, get the body used to the workload (some weight will come off too), then increase the frequency.
