Hi pple, what mattress would u recommend for pple with back probs (slip disc)? I am looking for a king size bed that when my partner moves around, I wouldnt be able to feel it. Cooling too.

Thanks a lot!

The conciderations to be made when buying a mattress has to revolve around the weight and body shape of a person. weight being a factor in how much support will need to be there, body shape this more reflects how much the waist goes in at the sides, i.e. how wide the person is at the hips and shoulders, obviously to side sleepers.
therefore aids such as boulsters to place underneath the knees will keep the Y ligament at the front of the hips pulling the low back towards extension. therefore should feel good. side sleepers should consider the chinnese sleeping pillow. an extra long boulster that they can drape one leg and arm over. bit like when you got together with your loved one and romance was alive !!!!. best suggestion is a good pocket sprung mattress that adjusts to your body. for other health reasons stay away from the man made stuff as much as possible. as they emit chemicals (toxic) and if your in bed 6-8 hours you dont want to be breathing that in.

As with anything in life, you get what you pay for. Those Dux mattresses are supposed to be the best in the world but they are very expensive.
We have a kingsize Sealy Posturepedic with a 'memory foam' top which is very comfortable.

Anyone here can share when is the best period to buy mattress to take advantage of the promotions? Am considering king koil, Serta n probably sealy. Is CNY promo better or wait for GSS? Buy Fr robinsons/taka/Harvey or go to individual distributors?

i bought mine from a courts warehouse sale, think its a very good deal! (about $2k+ for a model that will usually cost $3k after the normal discounts)

you can look out for the courts or harvey norman sales.

Hi Ken, try looking for a medium-firm mattress, it provides better balance between back support and comfort compared to a mattress that's too firm or too soft.

There was a test done on people who had chronic lower back pain, people assigned a medium-firm mattress were more likely to report reduced back pain in bed.

A good mattress should give extreme comfort and back support. If the mattress is too firm then it will cause aches, the medium-firm mattress would be best to improve sleep quality. The latex mattress will give you better balance also reduce the pressure points on back.

Orthopedic mattress is the right choice for back pain. It provides firm support, relieving painful pressure points, and make us to maintain a good posture for whole night. This type of mattress improves your spine alignment. Buy orthopedic mattress to have good sleep and get free from back pain...
