Hi all,

I'm new in this forum, i'm a guy... I am introduced by some of my lady friends that this is a wonderful forum to discuss on ROM, wedding stuff...

Not sure if this is a problem for all guys... how do you know the size of proposal ring to get for my future wife...

There are so many jewellary boutique(Lee Hwa, Goldheart, SK,etc), which one should I choose and which one should i avoid to visit...

Hi Daleth,

The home page have a column (wedding story) that teach guy how to get ring for proposal. Hope tt would help you.

As for jewellary shop, I personally prefer Lee Hwa & Goldheart but there pricing r on e high side. Soo Kee are slightly cheaper bt quality is there, dun go for SK as tey r of lower quality compared bt pricing is low. Try nt to go for e lowest price as it would nt reflect yr sincerity.

Hi Joyce,

Thank you so much for the valuable information...

that will save me alot of time... trying to search for the correct forum discussion...

SK is a same company as Soo Kee right... but it's targetting a lower end of the market group rite?

My SK mean SK jewerelly, the advtisment by Stephanie Sun. SK jewerelly price range is lower compared to the rest of the shops.

Anyway you can also go wholesaler, I heard quality is good & low pricing (wif cert too). But I'm not sure where is the wholesaler.

Thanks Joyce, I do know of people who are in contact with the diamond designing company. If I still can't find the ideal one... i would go direct to them. I heard the minimum for them is 0.5 caret. I'm not sure... I need to go and ask them to verify. If the price is gd I might consider.

i manage to get in touch with this diamond wholesaler that also sells direct. Gia and AGS diamonds. Due to lesser overheads compared to a retail shop, i save a few thousands in getting a very nice H&A that i might not get from a retail shop with a brand

actually goldheart and lee hwa do not mean good quality. recently there's this article that a lee hwa diamond fell off. pay so much and no guarantee and good after service.

for me i will opt for what is value. doesn't mean low pricing means insincere. since it's for life, it has to be something that both parties are comfortable with. i think sk is in no way inferior to the rest.

Really? My HTB and I have shortlisted a pair of wedding bands from lee hwa. now that u mentioned, i do recall that article abt falling diamond. hm...think we have to rethink. good thing i have shortlisted some other bands from other jewellers.

I know this is a proposal ring topic, but I just came back from Love & Co - they call themselves the wedding band specialist. Does anyone have feedback about this company?

From what I know, SK,Lee Huat,Poh Kim not bad. Taka is the worst, Their diamonds really cheap but very poor. Dont buy from Taka...

It depends on your budget and what sort of ring you are look at, the Heart,Princess,Emerald cut and also carats.

I can recommend the one I recommended a few before so far if you keen then i gave you the number. He is a Private Jellewer who travels around, and can get the same diamonds outside with also Certification for lesser price cos he is a supplier and seller. So far I purchased 2 from him, not much of a problem, save me at least $1,500 altogether.

Hi all,

For my proposal ring, my FH bought from LW. So far so good, no problem, I'm quite satisfied!
