Advice for PLus Size brides

Ling, i think the most impt thing is to check whether the pkg include any MTM gowns(if can both WG, EG).

This is what i encounter during the fair, my pkg will come with 1 MTM gown. Indeed, I ask for 2 MTM gown but the sale person guarante me that there will be gown for my size. But when I go for gown selection, there are very limited choices. I feel very dishearted.

So, my advise is if can bargain, get 2 MTM gowns first. To play safe, if you didnt choose anything u like from OTR.

Lingling, ok taken note. I definately nid MTM... i was tinking of having a short WG instead of the normal one... HTB kept saying i am short... wear the long one... later sure trip myself -_-"

Lingling: Just a thought since i find the usu one so long n heavy.. thought a short WG for AD would be nice. Mmm but must find a package and see if they are willingly to make my dream come true for it anot.

Maybe they tink am crazy to have such idea.

missyling: I guess most of us are quite happy with them cuz they provide very people-oriented services(u can pop by BC's thread in the forum) and some brides even go back to visit them every now and then after their wedding. I took their 3388 pkg with 1 OTR and 1 MTM (I took OTR WG and MTM EG. Their full OTR pkg is 3088.

Why don't u pop by BC and take a look yourself? They are not pushy with their sales.

hello all, i haven't been to this forum in awhile i can't seem to find the thread and i'm kinda new to this whole forum thing still getting the hang of it.

last i remembered was getting advise for a bridal studio for a plus sized bride like myself, and i was on the verge of not even taking my bridal photos coz i was scared i will spoil the whole thing, well, just to keep you ladies in the loop, i have taken my bridal photos with a bridal studio which we picked from the bridal roadshow sometime last year its not so fantastic i guess when u see the raw photos, u see all the imperfections, and believe me my hubby did not need any DI at ALL! he's as perfect as can be. whereas me on the other hand, i needed the DI terribly! everywhere! my arms, double chin, spare tyres! OMG! its a disaster!

but just the other day we went back to the studio to see the recent DI photos, i was amazed at how i looked, but till the point it looked too fake! haha... but we have told them to improve on it, make me look the way i am but remove the slight imperfections here and there... phew... our wedding is this coming 20 sept! and time is passing by so fast and we haven't even finish our preparations.

Hiya, Ling what's that, it looks really yummy. My ROM dress also short 1 cause my hubby wanted me to wear dress above knee length, he prefer me in short skirt or dress. But wedding we still taking long 1 cause more formal.

Btw, ladies i just realised that city plaza got sell a lot of nice evening grown or tea dress. I saw up to sz 5. Quite cheap. Around $90 - $120. Should be able to bargain further. Those who need dress for rom can go try it out.

choco, if u wanna something simple, Windows Movie Maker can do it liao. If not, u can download a free ware known as Photostory. Adobe-after effect Pro needs to be purchase

If I'm not wrong picasa is a web program which just allows you to store your pictures and show it to others instead of having to send thru emails etc. It's similar to flickr but prob has a friendlier interface eg faster time to load the pics etc.

For adobe after effects, it's similar to dreamweaver which you'll need license. The free trial is prob a basic tool & also you'll need knowledge to use it.

Those who like to explore can perhaps try using the movie maker which is available in most pcs. You can also add songs & captions etc. My HTB tried that before for his colleague but I didn't really see the end product. Do have the intention of doing a short montage on my own but not sure if i'll end up being lazy or not

hi cutiephinphin, my EG is MTM. I actually got my idea from WGs ... I like one particular WG style and cutting, so I suggested that to my designer and we work out the materials, embellishments from there

Is your EG in your multiply? Sorry but I've forgotten. There are so many posts a day there. I remember your WG. The thing is I want my EG to have a different look & feel from the WG and moreover I'll be keeping the EG so I don't want something which looks like a WG and I don't have much occasions to wear it thereafter.

Hmm... can I ask if any of you have issues with your arms? Sigh... I can't stand mine & it doesn't go down

my EG is MTM, is the designer idea, my idea was rejected by him.
My wedding gown also mtm, off shoulder,so its cover my fat fat arm. hee..
both designs can be found from my multiply

u can refer to those foreign brides gown website. I think their design are more suitable. I have a few design in my multiply.
If have to cover yr arms, actually not much choice leh. I think either get a off-shoulder gown or cover with shawl loh.
Oh ya, talking abt shawl, my EG should have a matching shawl one but during PS they didnt have it to me leh.

cutiephinphin, ya ... my EG is in my multiply .. it's purple A-line gown with black french lace. My EG is those confirmed cannot be worn on other occasions type unless it's a costume ball cuz it's kinda Victorian as requested by me *lol*
