A Venue for ROM ?

Hi all,

I had taken some photos at the Gazebo lawn where i will b having my solemisation in this May. Good venue for those looking for garden theme.

celine, Gazebo lawn is located in Raffles hotel. They do have a solemnisation package for abt 2k which includes rental and deco plus a little hightea.. However, i having mine in the evening and i added in a cocktail cum standing light dinner for my solemnisation. hope this helps.
 
aradia, yup, i will b having the chief and waiters at the lawn serving my guests. tt will fill up my lawn so tt wun seems to b too empty.. will b hiring a band too to entertain my guests. U can call raffles hotel to check when they wil b holding solemnisation at the lawn, n u can hop down to look at the deco etc.. last time i saw one which have marquee at the lawn n it's dammmm nice.. but tt one too high the budget!!

can sm1 share/give idea where a gd place for solemnisation- i mean smwher which has a fn room n serves chi food? hmm..of cos not too expensive haha

can u send me yr package? cos i check the website & realise that raffles only provides canapes for the guests(abt 5 pieces each) for the $2k package. that is too expensive for that little amt of food rite?

michelle, mine is on 18th May this year.. all in all, estimated cost will be about 4k for renting the place, standing cocktail cum dinner and the band... mine will be starting 5.30pm to 7.30 pm on 18th may(wed).. if u r around the area on tt day, come down and look at my deco setting.. it's always better to go down to look at others solemnisation so tt u will have an idea.. I personally feel tt it's really romantic, tt's y i recommended my friends.. hope this helps..
btw, the band which consist of the 2 guitarist who are vocalist themselves are source on my own.. playing lattin n bossanova songs which will create the atmosphere.. I will have the chief to be there in the lawn to serve my guests too..

shang nao jing. actuallli contemplating ROM itself or outdoor. love the outdoor option, but will burst budget as i will be renovating my house at the same time.

have you mangaed to locate affordable lunch venue. I heard Hangout@emily is quite affordable. would likely check it out. does anyone know the address??

are you catering? u can try renting the chairs and table from the caterer.... caterer who does sit-down wedding dinners should have them...

I'm holding my ROM at Jade@Quayside. It's a restaurant along Clarke Quay. Beautiful view and beautiful restaurant.

I'm treating my guests to a cantonese cum sichuan ala carte buffet.

Each person costs $28+++. The restaurant is usually very quiet even during lunch time so you almost can have the whole restaurant to yourself. I'll be having 40 guests at my ceremony so I estimated my total cost to be $1600 including drinks and wine

The restaurant is very romantically done up. Very classy. You gotta see it to believe it. If you intend to have only 10 guests, you can also use their function room that can hold up to 2 tables of guests but the catch is, if you have 2 tables, you won't have any space left for the solemnisation ceremony. if you do it outside, there's a stage area with very nice lightings. The restaurant will provide ring cushion and nice pen holder.

I paid $218 for my make up, hairdo and a bridal bouquet. decided to go with La Vie instead of Wedding Present because I don't want to wear knee length dress for my ROM.

Saw your photos on the Gazebo and it is really very nice.

Me and my fw went down to Raffles Hotel and did some enquiries on the ceremony + lunch. The ceremony package costs 1999 for 20 pax (15 per additional pax) and lunch at $60 per pax. It totalled up to approx 4k for 30 pax before +++.

Did they customised a package for you? The price we got is quite steep since it is buffet lunch. Do you mind share with me the package they offered you? Thanks.
 
zenth, thanks... getting really excited abt the whole thing.. jsu 2 more days to go....

the normal package they have is wat u have discribe.. 2k for 20 pax.. but tt only includes 5 canepes which i dun find it filling enough.. I wanted mine to be in the evening so tt it will not b humid and hot... however, i did not wan to have a full course dinner.. usually pple will have the solemisation at the lawn n then proceed to the resturant or ballroom for dinner..
Hence i requested my "dinner" to b hold at the lawn itself... so i asked sharul to "customised" a package for me.. I wil be having "light" dinner (buffet style) at the lawn itself.. mine cost 3.2k for 30 pple as well..additional guest will cost $65.. hope this helps.. will share the photos wif all of u after my big day.

My FH tot of holding it at sentosa cos of the greenery patchess.... but after looking at your photos, reali make me interested! Fantastic layout and its sooooo romantic! but my guests will be realli quite small. hahahah. I wonder if there is a min number of pple i have to invite?
