Hi Waimun,

Not to worry. It won't drop. My hubby bought me that for proposal. Yes, .22 could cost you that much. Mine was a .24 think close to 3K. Very exp.

Well, if you would like cheaper version, may consider Taka or some other less branded ones, comapre their prices with same characteristics. E,g, The cut -- 8 arrows, F colour (that is to ensure stone is WHITE not YELLOWISH) and Clarity --- VSII or VSI, that should be fine.

Hi Angie,

That sounds amazing. After 3 years, it is still NEW??? Perhaps yes for the diamond, but how about he GOLD? doesn't it lose the shin?

My wedding ring is a .53. with ten small diamonds. I don't bare to wear it bathing etc. So i take it off once i reach home, and put it on when i leave the house.

Hey Don,

My engagement ring is from Tiffany, so far so good. Maybe its a pyschological thingy that 6 prongs has more 'security' :p

My fiance told me the store manager - Trissy who was serving was very patient, and he spent 2 hours plus in the shop and she was very helpful.

No doubt, the whole feel of the shop is rather 'atas' but the sales people there are definitely knowledgeable.

i got my wedding band from Aspial. Love it! the worksmanship is good and the after sales service is great too! love their unique designs which can't be found in other jewlry shops. my si dian jing or rathe si dian zhuan also from there. think their diamonds quality is better. very sparkly. but more ex.

my proposal ring is custom made. 0.63 with 6 progs. Can choose good grade diamond with the savings cos 'no-brand' since we just want classic solitare design. love it! no problems so far for about 1.5 yrs liao.

Sad to say, I am also quite displeased with LH workmanship.

I just ROM 3 weeks ago, and that day is the first time we wore the rings. Within that day, my ring got an indent out of no where. the next morning, my HB's ring also got slight indent. So, my HB brought the rings to LH, to ask what is happening to their quality, when the rings are barely wore a day. FYI, we wear our rings only when we are outside. So LH staff say it is our fault for the indent. Well, I am really wondering, what kind of force that had been applied onto my finger that cause an obvious cut into the ring, and my finger remained intact. No cut no bruise.
So, the staff said they will send for polishing, but the wording will be blur & the rings will be thinner. OMG, we paid for the rings based on the "weight", and they r polishing them away? Die die also refuse to change a new ring for us.

Ard 1 mth later, my HB went to collect our "polished" rings. But I got to thank that lady who assisted us. Instead of polishing it by making it thinner, they refill the missing space, which actually need to top up money. But she didn't charge for this.

Now the rings are in the LH box, and will onli resurface on our PS, and AD. Scared the same thing happened again.

but claudia, it's kind of pity that you are so afraid to wear your wedding bands after your ROM..

i feel very happy to put on my ring every morning and just a few weeks back, i forgot to wear the ring to work and felt so uncomfortable for the whole day..

anyway, your rings are made of what material? how come they are so easily prone to dent?

Hi all.. =)

I am also a cust of LW. But my hubby bought mi a diamond ring for our anniversary. The diamonds are of triple excellence grade with the top 4 grades. They have a boutique at Grand Hyatt but if u were to buy in their showrm, it will be cheaper. Their grades would not lose to Tiffany or Cartier.

If u r interested, my email acct would be [email protected] for more info n i can send u some pics on the ring. Strictly on recommendation only. No walk in cust entertained.

i went to the showroom of Defred. it was reali cheaper than other high end quality diamond. Lee Hwa, Goldheart r consider middle class. Tiff & Co., Larry, Cartier and Defred r those high end quality. the difference is their grade. as in their cut, colour, calarity and carat. they also offer GIA cert. which is recognise in the whole world. some jewellery onli give in-house cert which onli recognise in their house onli.

their pricing is reasonable, but not as expensive as tiff&co. i would consider it quite cheap and affordable. my cousin get a wedding band, the design is very beautiful and my mother get me a diamond ring too for my 21st birthday. they also customize it. love it so much. it was so sparkling! even there is no spotlight.

so ladies, pls choose ur ring carefully.

Hi, I'm not a diamond/jeweller fan myself but I think you ladies here can help me out, TIA!

I'm looking for a jeweller to set the diamond on a band for me, I need some recommendations aside Larry's (where the diamond was gotten from).
I read some reviews here, DeFred is not as overpriced as it seemed to market themselves as, how true is this statement?

Utimately I am looking for a reliable source, cause from what I read, it seemed like the diamonds can REALLY fall off?
How about Poh Heng? We've gotten our 'old school' wedding band from them & thinking of letting them set the diamond for us.

Correction to wiwi's post.
DeFred is by Fred Ho and his diamond boutique is at Mandarin Gallery and his diamond band is kinda expensive(as they are marketed for high-end comsumers).

For the one mention in wiwi's post, Just Diamonds by DeFred is a joint project with a MLM company, with Fred Ho as their primary designer and the wedding band is kinda affordable. Friend recommended to me and brought one for my wife at around 2k.

I have been buying Gold Heart Celestial / True love since 2008 and not a single diamond has dropped since. Everything is sparkly and even resized very well. I have been having lots of fun upgrading and changing my jewelry to different designs and sizes. Love Gold heart Celestial. Soo Kee brilliant rose is fantastic but lack of choices in BR.

Meysone rose gold range is quite extensive in choice. I bought a rose gold bracelet 3 years back and its still very sparkly - I think they have diamonds with slightly higher flourescent in it so give the impreesion of being sparkly even without special lighting. Florescent used to be popular before year 2000 I think cause it gives a blue fiery sheen to the diamond like sparkling sea water. It is just a trend thing.
