SMC was my first choice. Ballroom is a perf square, awesome holding area, solo ballroom, very friendly coordinator (in fact I think they are the best from my hotel hunt).

If not for the minimium tables for Saturday (35,they downed to 32) I would have booked them.

I booked my church before the course. Just look for the church you want and make sure that the time slot and venue is available for you on your desired date and book it asap.
The father will ask for all the necessary documents to be presented to him before you can get marry in church. Give him all he need and the receipt of you booking the CEE course.
After the course, submit the original cert to the church.
Securing a slot in the church is very important, have to be kiasu and book early :)[/QUOTE]

I booked my own church, I using the pastor from the church. As the pastor from my htb church was not available on our date. But I think should not be a problem to get your pastor to move over to hold the ceremony

hello everyone! i'm a new 2017 bride (should be on 12 Feb 2017 at Mandarin Orchard). Wanted Jan dates but the auspicious dates are all fully booked!

Was diligently reading all the pages - Saw some queries on venues for 15 tables. That's my plan too, so here's some of my research: Some of our shortlisted venues for 15 tables, besides MO, is concorde and mandarin oriental. Otherwise, can consider restaurants like peach garden@ocbc center etc. If you are looking for around 10-12, can look at royal plaza @ scotts or pan pacific orchard. 20 tables & above have the most choice: pan pacific, marina mandarin, regent, conrad, MBS, fairmount, parkroyal@beach road! hope these helps!

Also want to check if anyone has heard before of ROM during lunch banquet? My fengshui master is Mr David Tong, and the timings for my wedding lunch are really tight (fetch the bride - 9am to 11am; ROM - 1pm to 3pm). An alternative is to have my ROM on another day but that means additional day of work + cost... headache!

Hello, may I know how do u find the consultation with Master Tong? Did he give quite a few dates only? ><

mine is also from David Tong... understand from my HTB, you have to let him know which year you are looking at and he will work it out for you.
Ours he gave till 2017.

My BS is Z Wedding and my package is S$4.5K (without AD photographer).

I am rather particular for photography and service. When I went to Z Wedding, I told the designer strg that I'm only here to take a look and will be walking down the lane to a few BS and won't be signing on the day. But he still give me the service and good attitude, which other BS doesn't gave me that.

Hi ladies, I'm a 4th quarter of 2017 bride and we've been to Master Long for our dates already. He is a nice old man and I think it's generally okay to go to him. We are also currently sourcing for hotel venue but some places do not have the rates out for 2017. Not sure what our next step should be... Kinda procrastinating already. Haha..

Q4 rates are not out thou.. but you can just add S$50- S$100 per table for the banquet rate. Prolly meanwhile you can do your calculation on your numbers of tables first..

Hi Santajean, thanks for the advice. We've calculated 38-40 tables for our dinner banquet so that's settled as well. Congrats on settling your bridal studio

Hi all

Happy to find an active forum with 2017 BTB here. I went to meet with David Tong for my wedding dates, and I must say he's quite effective. Within 1 week the dates are out, only the appointment was hard to fix cause he's very busy. Can also try to paypal him first and get the dates, then fix another date for appointment. Quite flexible.

But when I went to see hotels for the 2017, apparently everyone is requesting for the same few dates! (in Jan and Feb). Many hotel coordinators are saying that the geomancers are not doing a good job (fixing so many couples on these hot dates). But I guess there's always a few days in a year like that. Got to move fast!

Also want to share my experience with just liaising with the wedding coordinators of Sheraton, they seem abit strict with their perks and had almost $120++ increase for 2017 lunch. They also seem unfriendly and dry? Not pro-active enough though. Had to keep contacting them for questions and replies were slow. Anyone tried to contact Sheraton and has any recommendations on any good coordinators there? Want to change.. Also anyone gotten their perks to share? Thanks!! xoxo

Same. I emailed them and they just take so long to reply. Anyone has the offer from Sheratons to share? I guess it could be faster than to wait for them. Hahaha

@santajean @foohappybride hi both, i requested weekend dates from Mr David Tong between Oct 16 to Jun 17 based on our bazi. He gave us around 7 dates (got ranked in terms of best dates and second best dates). I don't think he takes v long to count, but he usually meets the couple to brief them on the dates so it really depends on his schedule. For mine, i met him abt one month after passing him the bazi details. Was $130 nett, and he offers a free 2nd round of counting dates, if we couldn't get any hotels. Nearing the wedding, he will also advise on the procedures for "an chuang" etc.

Our experience with him is quite pleasant! Hope this helps! =D

I just confirmed my wedding dates with Marriott in July 2017. Somehow I feel like I've got nothing to do now. Seems like a really long while till the wedding date. Too kiasu to start hunting for gowns right?

Look out and decide for a theme! And start to find deco or diy since you have got so much time! This will definitely take some time off. Haha..

Actually there's a lot of things you can slowly do. List out items that you wish to for your AD, eg Emcee, live bands, themes, dresses.. alot of things to do actually! :D Enjoy planning!

If July 2017, I think you can start to source as it's a nice date, evreyone will sure go for such dates. :D Quick hands won!

My friend who having it on 1 july already booked her banquet. Mine's in May 2017 and haven booked for my banquet.

I haven decide on venue. Just emailed the banquet and get the package details. I think their package wouldn't change much, just price change. Maybe can go check out how the ballroom look like. Recee first lo.
