Yah, my AD I yet to decide 
as my bto. I don't know when complete thats the reason why I can't sign any hotels yet :/ but we been to alot of hotels and down to Conrad and Marriott 
both prices ard the same we compared and both only one ballroom

Yes, mine also 2018 first quarter but taking advise from ppl who got their flat 3mths to 9mths earlier so we take 2017 june banquet ! And for now only Conrad has released price :/

Shortlisted a few like Sheraton, mandarin orchard, mandarin oriental, carlton, raffles and fullerton hotel as these are the few hotels with small ballroom. However, I do not really fancy their ballrooms as they tend to have low ceilings. Hence, now exploring the options of perhaps garden wedding theme like Halia at botanic gardens which is very pretty IMO. How abt u?

Tingz u might wanna consider swissotel at merchant court. It's a perf ballroom with no pillar. Reno will be ready by Oct 16, u will get a new ballroom in 17 plus it's the only ballroom so it's exclusive. I have to drop them cos they can't lower the tables for a sat dinner

HAHA. Such a coincidence! Really didn't expect to meet future neighbors here.I will be having a small intimate wedding as we do not really have many relatives. Probably looking at garden wedding at approx. 100 - 120pax only.
Oh yes, u may want to consider Swissotel hotel 69th storey ? Their max. Tables 18 but can cater for ard 12 tables too
view is stunning leh or if not, ion penthouse is cool too we are heading to their showcase this wkend Mine's Clarabelle. I did not get much additional perks from the standard package, Conrad's really strict.Awlll nice

Not sure if its normal but thats how Conrad charged me also. But i compared their 2015 and 2016 rates, the price also increased by $100. And i think our priority was really to secure the ballroom so we didnt want to wait. Some coordinators will forget to tell you when they release slots for 2017 and means you will have to keep checking with them which is quite a trouble. And I feel that the 2017 rates should have already been more or less finalized at the backend by now.

Later this evening I will be meeting up with Conrad again thou :/ from 2016 rate (valid till 1st quarter 2017) , price per table $$1588++ .... Rest of 2017 per table $1638++ ....left with the nego on the perks now

Congrats on your pending nuptials! To answer to your question, it's normal since their 2017 rates are not out yet. But there are some hotels who might just extend their 2016 rates to you (usually if your wedding is during the first 3 months of the year). If you really like the venue, go for it or do your research and see how much increase they had as compared to the previous year

Hahaha I was looking at $1000 per table but it became more and more and more! You can maybe try looking at lunch banquet prices or maybe do your banquet on a Friday or Sunday? I'm doing mine on a Sunday cause my bf's side wants to do their own reception (Malay style, have 2 sides) and my parents want a one time sit down banquet so we decided to do separate receptions. Mine would be the fun one of course!
Actually which hotels are you looking at? I was just reading on Hotel Jen at Tanglin, seems like their tables around $1000?

I just signed my venue with Novotel Guess afterall they are the most affordable ballroom with a gigantic holding area all to you and a pillar-less ballroom. Too bad i'm not holding my solemisation in the hotel otherwise the outdoor area outside the ballroom is perf! I chose the cinnamon ballroom btw I guess things are starting to get exciting for me!

Yup they have one on 25 Oct but I couldn't make it. Perks were extended to us when requested - like 1 more barrel of beer, 10 bottled of wine, photobooth. And package already come with candy bar

Hotel Jen is definitely on my list due to their price. But I'll want shortlist a few others too to widen my choices.

Hello Jerniice! I went goodwood for viewing before too! If you like a big holding area, goodwood cannot fit the bill
Novotel has gt 3 menu, 1128, 1228 and 1328. Why not pass me ur email I can send u the menus and wedding show perks (they only shared with me when I asked for it)
