Was wondering if any of u girls are ordering a cake (both for cake cutting and to serve to guests instead of dummy cakes). Do u all think it's gonna be too much on top on the lunch, will any guests still be able to eat that?

Those cakes are really pretty but I don't want it to go to waste too!!

Yup hotel will provide 500g cake, the rest of the layers are dummy. Came across Winifred Kristen cakes and they're too pretty. But htb says waste of money cuz no one will be able to eat tht aft a 8 course meal :(

And I won't be doing a solemnization on the day itself before banquet.. So also won't do dessert table

my mom attended a wedding at parkroyal pickering, she said the food not bad, place is nice, door gift is cute (I'm not sure what it was).
I attended friend's wedding at marina madarin last year. is vanda ballroom the one in the middle of the hotel? that's the one I went to. beatiful ballroom, with a flight of stairs leading up. food was good. :) dont remember anything bad about it.

Wa cake nice nice. Maybe have small cakes for close friends and relatives/

Thanks girls! Have decided to be rational haha and put the money to better use!!

Btw, any idea what should I look out for when signing contract for pre wedding shoot? E.g if dates can be changed in case of rain? My friend didn't manage to change her day it was raining, and went for her shoot in changi airport instead :/

Thanks!!! :) Congrats! Anyway, I asked Regent, and I thought it looked nice... But... they only have the small room left and my fiance's parents would like more tables. What have you done so far? :D Any tips?

3 Sep 2016! Oohh.. I think they offered accommodation for the wedding entourage, but I asked if I could keep it open for an anniversary stay... They said ok to that. Likely will take the oriental ballroom... Just waiting for my Amex. :D lol.

i love oriental leh :( but they require too many tables and yes their perks is good too, food as well :/

Mine is 3 sept too!! :)

So far only confirmed hotel and BS.. Haha we are thinking aft confirming photography seems like nothing much alr. Still got time?? Haha I don't wanna scramble last min! But like abit early for the other stuff like table arrangements etc

@Tingzcrown yeah, we asked if we could do slightly less tables... manager said he'll check and let us know... technically, i don't have much choice, cos everything is kind of booked full..... where did u get?

@frozenvanilla yeay! ^5 er, so far, i only confirmed church. i guess hotel is like almost there... i havent confirmed the BS. was thinking of digio (evening gowns more special) or rico-a-mona (prefer their bridal)... photography also i haven't confirmed... cos the boy doesnt like the studio photog, he's more particular. how bout u? erm, i don't want to scramble, but i also... lazy... so cannot ask me if still got time... people say i started late. haha!

it just so happens im eyeing a pair of shoes... and my bestie's headed to EU. she's totally enticing me with the EU pricing, which will be cheaper than sg.
the boy will super jump if i buy shoes so i told him, cos special occasion. :p lol!!!

but i scared, buy already, dont match my dress..?! o_O

Hahaha!!! OKAY. means those heels are mine already. haha.. I scared not high enough if the gown i pick is long u see?
Ok nvm, you can never have too many shoes... they will go into everyday wear if they are not good enough. :p lol

I most likely will be taking Conrad as Oriental will cost so much more for lesser people(ang bao also in other words) and per table i have to pay more too

Icic.. She is actually quite nice and open too... I spoken to her.. How's the perks? She mention that there will be new themes like fairy lights next year I hope it's Nice!

Ooh there is fairylights ? She's shown me a few themes but the stage seems quite empty and plain :(

My perks is 2nights bridal suite, free flow of beer, 30% carpark, $40 on corkages and nth else ler :(

And yes, we are looking at Sat dinner in mid 2017

Ya hopefully it turn out good.. My perks are the same except they cannot give me free flow of beer cos it's a Sunday.. Sigh...

They want original music.. its best if you have the cd that's what I understand..

But I'm not too sure if you buy from iTunes or Spotify how it will work.. This is because in case there is a check.. The hotel will be fined.. not too sure about the couple..

If you are doing wedding montage and vg of morning.. ensure you vg has the licence for the music also.

Hehe seems like 3/9 is quite a hot date too. I haven't had the chance to check out other BS cuz htb thought tht Rico is good and we went ahead t sign, tht was the first shop we went to. Oh actually I went t atelier the silhouette too but thts way over my budget :/

Yup we didn't like the bs photography too so photography decided t go ala carte. Haha I feel like got quite a lot of time too but my friends/cousins who got married told me i don't have much time t plan and I should hurry lol
