How much do you all pay for calculating the dates? Master Tong charges $100.. Is tat considered ex?
 
Bem: I met master tong yesterday. I don't know if it's considered ex but he is very friendly and detailed. After you met him, you can still email him and his replies are prompt
 
Eve: Thanks! So when is your AD/ ROM? how many dates did he give you? I saw online have a service too.. $68 for quite alot of dates...
 
Bem: sigh the dates he gave either fully booked or I have to consider 2012. So I am thinking whether to do without an AD. Just simple ROM will do.

Master tong gave me around 10 dates and gave me a lot of infor on the procedures for guo da li etc. He will also provide the exact timing for the rom and ad as well (: and he will tell you more about an chuang (how to place the bed) etc. Quite a bit of useful infor from him
 
Eve: wow.. 10 dates and all fully booked? tat's becos you are only looking at 1 specific hotel is it?

I did consider doing simple ROM too. But how will you 'inform' your relatives? I kept thinking about this until I decide to have a simple buffet lunch will do.. Haven checked with any hotels thou..

bem: I will ask my close girlfriends to acc to ROM. Then hold a buffet kum housewarming for relatives and friends. Then tea ceremony before the buffet at my place for the relatives. haha so every one will be informed alr.

Master Tong also provides detailed guo da li procedure and tell you what you should do and not do. Just consider him and maybe look around to see if there is a better one.

girls, r u all interested to seek the shifu tt i am consulting? he has been practising since 10yrs old and he is aso helping some of the big big ppl for fengshui althou he doesn go on papers or tv.. he flies ard quite often too..

Xiaoyan: if your wedding is b4 15 june 2012, i think it is 768nett per table.for dinner is 1068nett.

right now, im thinking to choose btw GPCH and OH. both prices r almost the same but now GPCH having a promo, if cfm b4 1st Oct they waive off the 7% gst charge... **thinking thinking**
 
Hey ladies,

Does any one of you know, say if a table is $800 it will plus 10% service charge and 7% gst. Will my husband (by then) be able to claim gst rebate when we leave Singapore after the wedding?

Mulaiman: I read from another thread u booked Meritus aka mandarin orchard? I saw the 2 tier hall in Style Weddings.. looks nice! May I know what is the minimum table for that hall? Does it have a view?

Bern: yah i've booked mandarin orc. But i believe you are referring to mandarin court ballroom which require min 15 tables. It can hold max of 20 tables only. A rather small n cosy ballroom. Btw, mine is mandarin ballroom. Hee. Not too sure abt the view as i didnt do a site visit to that ballroom. Maybe u want to talk to the coordinator instead to get w better idea? Hope this helps.
 
Bem: i mean the 1st time u go see him, u juz gif him an $88 ang pow.. subsequently if u change ur mind abt the 1st date or any questions u wanna ask him then is via sms lor. hehe..
 
muilaman,mag: yeah, it's their early bird disc, but i hv yet to go view their new renovated Ballroom, i saw some pics, seems not bad, but wanna go down n see it personally b4 i decide. 7% off is like, abt 60+ off per table, quite worth it!
btw muilaman, im one mth after you~ apr2012 (tentatively).

shanna: yes, $60 off per table is super worth it. hehe. go visit first and have a "feel" of the place. hee i love doing site visits, think i am crazy. muahahahaha.

Actually i did conside GPCH before too but i saw the 7% & 10% like abit alot then i drop the idea... so now looking at Qian Xi or Peony Jade...

v0n:qian xi food is YUMMY! my bf's sis had her wedding at Qian Xi recently. the one at paya lebar. the food is nice!
 
Xiaoyan: so far my experience with Meritus Mandarin, Marina Mandarin, Regent, Concorde have been quite good. I love their food as well. These were my shortlisted hotels. It depends on your preference. Some areas that I looked at are the location, food, ballroom, and most importantly, the service of the coordinator. As you will be liaising with your main coordinator for the next 1 to 2 years so both must click with each other.

xiaoyan: it's best to 1 of the coordiantor to walk around with you. so you can ask her as much as you want.

I'm heading to Qian Xi (Farrer Park) for a site visit this sat...

magdal: Yishun seems out of the way for us cuz most of our relative stay in the east &amp; northeast area...
 
Since I am just having a solemnisation + set lunch after that.. Can I still wear long wedding gown for the solemnisation cause most girls wear short ROM gown.

Need a good BS that can have customised package - Prewedding shoot and rental of wedding gown, cheong sam / tea dress for solemnisation ceremony. No need AD stuffs. Any reco?
 
eve: yeah of cos u can. it is up to u what u wanna wear for your solemnization.

i think most BS can "customise" a package for u, just tell them what u want or need. maybe u can "shop" around for a few u like/shortlist and then see which one is more flexible and give u a better package?

Haha trying this out after mag's attempt to compile the infor. Saw the table in TA's thread. Please add in your infor.

1) Open spreadsheet using Excel.
2) Paste the table in
3) Fill in infor
4) Select the range you wish to paste
5) Choose Edit and then Copy.
6) Bring up the "new message" box.
7) Enter an "empty" table tag (such as \ table{ } or \ tablenb{ }) in your message. Do not put in any Table Items at this time.
8) Click the mouse between the curly braces in that tag.
9) Select Edit and then Paste.

it's a code so when you type the " \ table{ }" remove the "space" between the " \" and "table". hope this help. =)
