Phylline, I did not see any shop that sells wedding stuffs.. but there are quite a few shops that sells CS... I went to one of the shop at Dan Shui... hmm... not sure if its cheap.. its NTW$480...
 
Hi ... would like to check with you (for those who MTM their gowns)... Do you wait for your designer to call you to fix an appointment to for a discussion on what gowns you want to make, or do you call him to fix the appointment?

Hey there lovely people, I'm gonna be posting as a potential groom and not a photographer this time around (well i hope to be hitched) by next year =). And i kinda figured that most of you here would have already been proposed to. And... well i'd love to hear about some of the amazing ideas and stories you guys have so i could perhaps try to shap up my own proposal plan in about 10 months time. Anyone care to share? stuff like places to go, hows the food, atmosphere...etc

Hi yaya, mine is in 23 Jan. dun worry about looking fat. they will edit and you will look slimmer one. I went for my photos selection yesterday and was amazed and shocked by the photo editing. they can actually trim you tummy, ur arms, make your face sharper and many more. you will look perfect after the editing. so dun worry so much
 
Hi Qiuling... I know they can edit... but on AD, pple is seeing a real me, so aiya, headache la... Jan is earlier than mine, u have all preparations done le ma??? =)

i'm finally done with the bulk of work...*pant* securing both pre and ad photographer, and my gowns with Sophia. :D

Met up with Ian today and really looking forward to my photoshoot with him.

xue, me too... just use the hotel's music to save the effort and time for other things... not worth to go through all the effort unless the songs have special meaning for both of u

Over the weekend managed to tailor-made 1 shirt for HTB (www.theblacklabelco.com). Got to wait & see their works as I add in many special n loud details using Fuchsia Pink :P

And did make query to PG & VG package with (www.aestheticvilla.com).
Need help on more PG & VG ideas...but i be on budget on this. Looking at $2.5K - include AD & VG with express highlight possible?

Prefer those with more stylish movie style which are all on the high side....haiz...stress :X

I'll be having the live band to sing for the march-in songs and it's those chinese oldies so dun really need to research on this part. But it's really quite le che with the new copyright law, cos it will add up to another cost. I think i'll probably choose from hotel list too to avoid the fees...

Hi Yuchi.. you mentioned that Douglas' rate is at 1.8K for which package? I remembered he gave me a more expensive package which was why I didnt sign up with him.

j0yle: the songlist was included in the folder that has my contract.. OH can provide 1st march-in, 1st dish, cake cutting and background music.. so quite fuss free on the music part..

Siy: fuschia pink is pretty!!

Yuchi: Ave8 has VG, i was quoted $2k for VG.. taking their PG & VG services.. Although I prefer cinematography, they are too costly!
Which VG will u be taking btw?
 
jOyle> its actually a plain white shirt with fine embroidery flower prints then those buttons i do a double buttons instead of the usual single button gap. Then Fushia pink is used for the threading for the button holes

Exited to wait for the final outcome. cos the threading used will be bright orange...loud

Siy, it comes to a point, where u need to come to a point where u either compromise or just burst the budget and think about it later....

clint, also considering wedding moments, my bf preference... he was also quite nice to give us a old pkg that he sent on my march enquiry.. which was much cheaper then his current price list...
 
joyle, NCQ has a list, you will have to ask them for it.... but i plan to get next year in case they do a update... since my AD is in may

I think Ive already digested the idea of having a practical wedding vs a dream / perfect wedding. So will just go for the things that falls within budget.
 
siy, I'm lucky in that I don't have a tight budget for wedding. But my practical side prevents me from indulging in one too many frills. Haha yeah, i'm tight-fisted scrooge.

I like to think that wedding is a one day event, what matters is marriage for a lifetime.

abt budget and weddings.. always a headache.. but since its a happy occasion, no wrong to splurge a lil' on some stuff and save up on others! back to square one, within budget and everyone's happy!

i included spending on parents and siblings inside my cost estimation to increase the happy factor.. haha~ think need to include "happy gauge" to ur wedding balance sheet to determine the worthiness of ur spending..

There're also some stuff that we've decided to splurge a bit more than our initial budget after our research because it scores very high in the "happy gauge" & we just felt tat every penny spent will be worth it after we've spent it! haha.. but ya, we will then try to cut our budget for other stuff..

I am taking the PG service from Ave 8 only. Will not be using VG since GS does not have a projector screen to play montage.
