It will be real nice if you get all your JMs to wear cheongsams.

priscilla, chatuchuk very big leh! i wanted to go back the next day to get more stuffs but couldnt find the same stalls. hahaha

but its all ard the handicraft sections.
 
Hi girls, it's my last day in Ho chi minh and there's hardly any wedding stuff here. However we managed to locate a 'tanjong pagar'-like street here, with all the bridal studios and bought a gown from one of the shops there.

Rachel - now I'm so tempted to go to bkk also. Gotta see if we can still squeeze in another trip before the wedding.

Clint - I'm also thinking of doing DIY for some things, like corsages and ang bao boxes.. hope I can find the motivation to start soon.

pinkcoral: were there shops selling DIY stuff for wedding in the building that sells many wedding stuff in hk? do u have ur AD BS? or r u gg to wear e gown u bought?

rachel: Ya, chatuchuk very big! it's literally impossible to find back e same stall..haha.. very good! get all e DIY stuff at cheap prices! I wanna see the bridesmaid accessories!

Yup, confirmed my BS already but I'll be wearing the gown I bought in the morning for the gatecrash, will change to the BS gown with long train when I get to church.

have u tot of ur hair and make up how?? i dunno if i should do it after the gate crach or not since my fiance will leave my house without me. hahahaha!!

u will also go to church with ur dad right? not ur hubby right?

none of my items are DIY and i dont think i will have the thought and time to do it even when the dates are nearer...
 
Hi sapphire.. my BS is Cangai.

Hi rachel, I will be going to church with fiance still. There's a holding room there for me to change and my parents will veil me in there. So fiance won't see me in my church gown until I get to the altar with my dad.

My make up will be done in the morning before gatecrash. We've got VG and PG ppl ard, so not taking any chances with how I look on my AD. haha
 
rachel, hahahah..... thanks.. will go search then... i also give up the thought of being able to find the same shop twice, std SOP in chatuchak: see, like, bargain, buy, its too huge to think n go back ...

i planning to DIY my ang pow box... and also trying out "bracelets" for my jiemeis, so also as a souvenir for the gers

my fren did a hand bouquet from pearls, ribbons and crystals......very pretty and now a nice keepsake from her wedding

Hi pinkcoral.. nwo that you mentioned Cangai, yes I remembered. hee... The Hong Jun Yang (project superstar) and his wife Candyce also were with Cangai - I think so.. I saw their pics as the advertisement for Cangai in wedding mags.

Pinkcoral: Yep, i did inform my potential sisters entourage abt wearing CS for dinner to fit the theme..hehe. And yup, good at GS will not go wrong. Em' so glad to have settle the biggest headache. Next, will be chopping my Pre and AD photographers..heng, i managed to secure both of my 1st choice too. So i am only short of shopping for wedding band, the customary stuff and my gowns.

Clint, Lish: i know which bride you are mentioning, i decided on Grand Shanghai after i seen hers and another bride AD photos there. The latter has her photo taken by peeping thom and he really make the whole place looks so majestic n grand. So after seeing all these photos, i am quite sure that's the venue i want and thus, i skipped the process of viewing venues.
 
Yuchi: so u confirmed with Douglas and GM? Grand Shanghai is pretty! but too bad the place is kinda small and my fiance doesn't like too "cheena" stuff..

For those of you who are into DIY, can visit Martha Stewart's wedding site.. can download alot kind of templates for your DIY stuff.. love reading that site

Yes and no on the PG, Douglas Fun for AD = yes.. for pre-wedding, i was struggling between GM and another photographer named Ian.. but i chose Ian eventually.

Ian used to work as a Art Director for a big creative firm and have won some awards for his work. I chose him cos i am impressed by his professionalism.. he will try to find out more about the couple and come up with a storyboard to take the photoshoot. So your album will be like a storybook about the 2 of you. His album unlike the usual offered is very unique and he customised the design to your preference. That's why i made this choice though i admire GM alot...dilemma

prisci11a: are u looking for a 2/3 tier wedding cake? I'm also thinking if i wan a real wedding cake for my wedding.. or cupcakes tier too.. it's either a real wedding cake or no cake...hehe.. But e cakes are so expensive! prob a couple of hundreds for a nice one..

rachel: the seashell as a ring holder's a very creative idea! I wanna something besides the usual ring pillow to hold my rings too..hehe..
 
clint: of course let the guest eat it! haha.. for me not necessary muz cut e cake during the banquet, can be cupcakes for deco and guests can just have them before e dinner starts too...
 
Hehe. For myself, only the top tier will be a real cake. My MIL says it's meant to be kept for first anni. But my other friends says it's for christening of first child. Now dun ask mi how the cake can be kept for 1 year cos I had the same question. But apparently all our friends who got married managed to keep it for a year!!
 
Pinkglove: haha coz I was thinking that the guests would be super duper full after the dinner..

Rachel: first time that I heard off keeping the cake for 1 year..

I'm not sure wat banquet offers. But mine will be home made by one of my family. Same pple who will be baking my wedding favors cake
