actually I dun really know the market price but I think 6k for juz PG is very ex. My htb will confirm reject without even seeing his portfolio. Personally I think 1.3k to 1.5k for both VG/PG. Isit possible to find them at such rate? Htb n I trying to save as much as we can.

where did u got the OH photo from? I was there at the their wedding open house too n a photo was taken as well.
 
qiuling: Livestudios had a booth at the OH wedding open house.. and they just helped us to take a photo.. then gave us the photocards later..

Got their namecard but need sometime to look for it. Too bad no pic cos its kept my HTB side think its probably in storeroom now :p

Cocotin: yup, his AD is real ex, i can't afford, way beyond my budget. That's why only prob considering pre wedding.

Jeanie: I can pm you the link later. Yep, my frenz also dun think i shld engage a PG for pre-wedding cos the one-stop BS will be providing that service. But like everyone mentioned, we have different priority, some may prefer to spurlge on gowns, while others on the best venue and as for me, i will squeeze out slightly more for PS..cos to me, wedding is a once in a liftime matter, i want capture these beautiful moments and store them....to do that, i need a PG of certain standard..:P

Qiuling: yep, i think u can get both PG/VG within 1.5 - 2K. i got a quote from one guy who charge around $750 for photography on AD ~ full day. Wouldn't say his work is fantastic but should be decent. I think it really depends on your expectation. If you r keen, can give me your email and i can forward you his quote and portfolio. :D

GM's AD PG is indeed very pricey... Some of my friends already commented OEC is expensive but well, everyone has different perspective of how 'beautiful' pics can be

Hi Smilem... is your BS those one-stop-bridal-shop? Not sure about the price for soft copies..

Shouldnt be cheap considering, for hard copy can be a range from $70-120 per piece.
 
Kass: I'm pleased with the CS that Kim has made.. my mum likes it alot.. she only charges for workmanship, $150 for short CS and $180 for long one.. you have to buy your own cloth for her..

Sapphire: yeap! long weekends! just need to take 1 day leave on the 8th.. :P
Btw which PG are u engaging from OEC?

Your CS price is very attractive! Only at $150 for short one? It's home-based kind?

Sapphire, yep, GM's AD is too ex le. For OEC, what's the rate like for Yi Ting. I met Terry before, think his rates last year around 2K plus. But now, heard increased le.

Hi Yuchi.. Ive got the rates quotation for both pre-wedding & AD with me still. Give me your email add and I will send across to you now.

For OEC, it's generally 2 pricing. 1 higher one for Terry & Ginos and 1 lower one for Yi Ting & Gabriel.

Ive been scrutinizing their blog again & again... and was actually very happy with Yi Ting's pics.. so I decided to go for Yi Ting in the end.

They give 10% discount if you sign up for both prewedding & AD packages...
 
Since this is brought up, if any of you are going to HK and interested in wedding favors, there's this shopping centre called Golden Plaza near Prince Edwards MTR. All the shops in the building sells wedding stuff.

I bought my XI stickers, umbrella, kua shoes, tea set, etc, for really good prices there. They also have loads of shops selling gowns which I regret I didn't buy.

Lol! We had a hard time packing our luggage after that, but when you're there, it's quite difficult to control the buying. :/

Thanks sapphire. The water was really cold but it was real fun! Taking PS is really fun!

We're focusing more for the church wedding now.
Got to organise the caterer, confirm color theme, source JM dresses, think about the songs to use, monogram, order red/white carpet and yes, guest list as well.
Also thinking about the invitation card for church and dinner. Not sure how that should be done.

Yup.. the hotel is providing the invitation cards.
I'm just thinking whether to print another card for church, or just print another insert, or change the hotel cards for something else and reprint everything into one card. haha.. a lot to think about.

pinkcoral: Do you have a picture of the items you bought in Hk or the address of the shop? One of my aunt is visiting HK next month... thinking of asking her to help me to get those umbrella, tea set etc hee hee... heard the design there is more unique... will it be cheaper?
 
Clint - Ours is a one-stop BS. We topped up to 100 pics altogether.
Didn't have time to research on alacarte that time, which I kinda regretted. Would really love all those artistic shots.

Xingli - I'll take some pics of the stuff I bought this weekend if I can find the time. We bought from 2 different shops in Golden Plaza. I wouldn't say it's more unique, but for stuff like stickers, it's definitely cheaper.
Get your aunts to help you buy ang bao too if you wanna. They have a lot of cute designs there.

I bought two umbrellas also. Bought a normal one at first and then managed to find a prettier one in another shop, so got it too. But the lady at the shop told me not to open it up until the wedding comes around. Dunno what kinda tradition.. I can't rembr and don't really understand cantonese also.

cowcow: yar.. she will tell you where to shop for fabric.. and sometimes if she is free, she will have shopping trips too.. i think pinkglove went with her to get fabric.. i got them myself as she was quite busy that period.. juz went to the shop she recommended..

pinkcoral: it has to depend on what kind of lace you want.. for German laces, they are cheaper.. about $30+/m.. for French laces, about $100+/m.. the inner layer can just choose satin which is abt $6/m..

and that explained why initiallie we budgeted 1.5k for AD PG but in the end changed to 2.5K PG... fiance also said the same thing.. its once in a lifetime thing.. so choose the one that u reallie <3 and don't regret it

Hi wendy.. Golden Plaza in HK is really a one-stop place for wedding shoppers.
It's not really an up-market place, but it's good enough for me.

They have a multitude of shops selling traditional chinese bridal stuff and another whole bunch that sells gowns and suits.. maybe that's why the prices are more competitive there.

Right next to the Golden Plaza is the I Do Plaza, I think that little building is more for couples looking for wedding packages.
