pinkglove, i will also be wearing a CS for tea ceremony. but my BS will cover that. hehe. im more of a visual person, hard to visualise the design from sketch! hehehe.
 


Rachel: tats great to have it covered by ur BS, v convenient ;) I'm also a visual person but I can't find a CS I love from e racks so far so have to mtm.hehe..
 
pinkglove: do u happen to have any pics of her CS? I told fiance abt it and he seem to be quite ok with the price.. but we both stay far away from Tampines.. so wanna see if we like the designs before making appointment to go down.. Btw, how long does she take to make a CS?
 
Clint: I dun have any with me but I remb seeing a few from e thread on seamstress or CS from boutique thread last time. For me, I went down n see some tat she has made.. Oh, u thinking of getting a CS for ur PS as well? Hehe, I thought u already have 3/4 dresses for ur PS? Or is it for ur AD? Hmm, I tink it depends on how busy she is, I told her I need mine by 1st wk June she says it's ok.. Mayb ard 2mths to b safe ba.
 
Hmm, I guess more for AD bah.. I don't think she can rush out in time for me if I wanna bring it for PS.. I'm leaving last week of May.. I'm planning actually to include more locations for my PS.. so not sure if my 3 dresses will suit all the extra locations that I'm planning to add on.. need to discuss further with my PG..

Are most of you going for both videography & photography on your actual day?

Ive always thought of just having photography only ....but the other day a colleague told me that after she wedded 2 years ago, she no longer take a look at her wedding photos but she will still take out the video dvd to see. So Im now caught in a dilemma... not sure if I should have videography too.
 
michelle>> quite a few places can hold 50 tables.. OH for 50 tables is comfortable. my cousin had 55 tables. I have never had novotel's food, but i think the setting is quite gd.
 
Sapphire05: welcome! i wanted videographer and photographer... coz to me, its once in a life time, so i wan to capture all the moments and keep it for life... LOL!

but it really depends on individual, whether to you it is very impt or not...

their 10 hrs videography which is like gatecrashing + dinner...
+ express highlight in btwn is $1950..

but they actually have a very wide variety of package...

however, i think at e end of e day, u also muz find e VG with the style u like most... coz all e VG out their have their very individual style.. :D if aft looking at their website n u like it, i think can work out a good price, coz they are quiet flexible...

now, u're only left with VG right? wats ur budget?

I am also looking around for my VG and PG. Short-listed a few like A cinematic story, coffee & tea dreamworks, avenue 8, vocare and forest production. Yet to visit them though, because my HTB is busy recently.

pinkglove: My PS is only 1 day.. I signed a 4 hr package with the PG, might wanna extend 1-2 more hrs.. any more than that would be too tiring liao.. as the locations I have choosen are quite nearby (furthest abt 1 hr drive away).. so don't need an extra day..

Sapphire: I'm intending to have both VG & PG too.. most probably I'm getting Avenue 8.. thou I have yet to meet up with them..

Liu ou ling: I'm going San Francisco for my PS..

Hi Ladies, I need some advice. I've signed up for a 3 in 1 promo package for PG, VG & animation montage at about $5k during wedding show & I've paid for $500 deposit. After signing then they told me that I need to make a 50% deposit upon getting the contract, which I'm not happy about.

My package consist of:
Photography Day & Night (with table album)
Vidoegraphy Day & Night - 2 videographer
Wedding highlights (express)
Animation Montage
Live video feed during banquet
2 wedding poster
1 set of raw DVD, 3 sets pf edited DVD

Do you think my package is worth the value? Does anyone need to pay deposit for ur PG or VG? I'm not sure if I should continue with the package (but need to pay more than $1k deposit now) or just take the amination montage which I do not need to pay for anymore deposit. As I'll need to meet them to collect the contract soon. Thanks
 
AL: welcome!

clint: why not extend the 2 hrs to another nearby city e next day instead since u have already flown so far, might as well shoot more places n have another day? haha.. can shoot somewhere different also..hehe..match ur different gowns.. just a suggestion la.. I agree that maximum will be 6 hrs a day also, if not will b very tiring..
 
Mich: I think all VG & PG needs 50% deposits... hmmm... if u feel that their service is good, their style is what u want, their work is good... then i tink its worth it... coz at e end of e day, it muz be able to fulfill ur ideals about keeping ur memories e most precious way u want it to be....

michelle: ur package looks alright to me because animation does not come cheap usually as well. I think if the quality of the PG n VG is also good then the price's ok because there's live video feed too which's something different as well..

Anyway I've also paid 40% deposit for my PG n VG as well.

clint: i thought u were previously considering moo? avenue 8's works are good too!
 
Thanks for your opinions.. seemed like most of you have both photography & videography.

Ive only book my wedding banquet venue. Ive actually decided (more of less) which photographer I want, but now coz of thinking having videography too (I still cant decide) ... I will have to research again. The photography that I like One EYe Click... do not have videography service.

Thanks ladies, I didn know that most PG & VG requires 50% deposit. For my package, 50% will be $2,500 which I think it's alot. If 50% is the market rate, I will reconsider my package value

v0n/Sapphire>> i've friends who r contented to have just a camera taking down the video of them marching in and all the gate crashing. so it's pretty much ur preference. and i think many ppl will willingly zap out their camera and video cams on ur special day!

j0yle & sapphire: Actually me n my fiance wasn't 100% certain we wanted VG till we saw Moo's video express highlights on FB. haha.. we were so impressed we simply had to get them..haha..

j0yle: Great! I think it's great tat u r confirming soon cos it seems like many r getting married on ur AD too.
 
Michelle, same as pinkglove, i am using Moo Media which we paid 40% as deposit. the rest will be paid when the wedding is done. Actually your package is quite comprehensive and the price for your package is quite a good deal.
 
pinkglove: Didn't think of going to other cities since we only planned to do the PS in one day.. wanna spend the other days for holidaying..

Think I mentioned b4 that a friend of mine knows the boss of Avenue 8.. and he is giving me quite a comprehensive package which he doesnt offer to others lar.. will be arranging to meet up with them soon.. update u girls once I'm confirmed..
 
Clint: I see.. Cos my fren who's doing overseas shot has 3 outfits n she's said 6 hrs just nice cos she needs time to change n also touch up from e mua. I'm spilting my hrs to capture day n night shots ;)
that's gd to have a special deal.. Btw,wanna ask u,did u see allure selling any bridal shoes?
 
Sapphire, what is your budget? coffee & tea package is quite reasonable. I went to take a look at their office previously while i was sourcing for my ROM photography.
 
Pinkglove: yeap, I do see them sellin bridal shoes.. But the range is very limited.. And not so nice too.. Best is u can source somewhere else for them..

My PS starts from late noon like 3pm.. I think that's the style for Americans.. They start work late.. So shd be able to cover both day & night shots.. Actually I think 3 gowns quite alot already.. My PG say their locals usually just have 1 WG or at most 1 more EG.. Weddings for them are more simple compared to ours..

Sapphire: my fren is also helping me to source for venues.. Hopefully it will be a better deal than I find on my own.. Hee
 
clint: ya, agree, I tink most have only 1 WG or at most 1 EG, which's the same as what im going to bring over.. I might or might not wear my CS for my PS, maybe will ask fiance to take casual shots of me in CS instead though..hehe

ok, thanks for e info on bridal shoes, im gg to give myself 1 more mth to source for my shoes, if i still can't find anything I like, will then customize my shoes..

HI pinkglove... Im not sure if you are keen in these for your shoes for PG / AD.

I always walked past the shoe section in Taka, entering from Coach... and just keep walking straight.

I saw alot of bling bling heels.. and I thought those are nice for weddings.. I thouhgt of getting my heels for AD there next year.

Not sure if you are keen in such.

HI pinkglove.. I think those bling bling heels are from 70 - under 200. It's on your left hand side, when you walk from Coach into Taka - all the way straight.

If you see those cosmetics/perfume counters, means you've walked past it...

Should be easy to spot.

Sapphire: Yeap, my PG is from US.. I was there few years ago with my fiance & we really love that place.. so now going back there to do my PS..

Oh I think 2ofUs has its in-house videographer.. price wise also quite reasonable.. maybe u can consider..

My fiance told me that shoes don't have to look too nice coz the gown so long will cover it.. so now I'm juz focusing to look for shoe to match my short EG.. then recyle for the rest of my gowns..

maybe for AD next year, I will source for another pair of shoe to match the WG.. I don't like to keep my shoes for long & not wearing them..
 
clint: i thought e same way too cos my gown's so long, can't see my heels most of e time anyway.. so I told my PG tat I wanna wear sneakers den change into my heels only when he's taking PS... i tink he nearly fainted..haha.. den through communication realised tat he take journalistic n natural shots so it's inevitable that he'll take shots when we're walking or resting etc so i compromised n said i'll wear my nice shoes throughout e PS..haha..anyway, it's a good reason for me to spend n get a nice and comfy pair!
