Hi cocotintin!
At least most of the big items settled already. Whew! But I'm still sourcing for MAU and photographer for my jb wedding banquet. Oh my bridal studio is Christabel (JB), like their photoshoots style and venue! ã€€î– How's your prep so far? Are you taking ur photoshoot in sg?
 


Hi beanie_baby_pooh, mine is at Novotel Clarke Quay and my BS is at Rico-A-Mona. Yeah taking photoshoot in SG cos no time to go overseas :P
 
Yeah I am taking PS in sg. My preps so far ok.. next agenda will be PS after cny. So I have been very bz going for my fittings these few weeks and finalizing the WG design. Seems like i have a pretty tight deadline.

After PS will have to meet up with florist and card designer.
 
cocotintin, where are you taking your ps? I am thinking of Botanic Gardens/Bishan Park for morning, Changi Boardwalk for sunset and Marina Barrage/Helix Bridge for night scenes.
 
jingying, I have not decided yet, i will be meeting my PG next week to finalise. But i do have some places in mind, botanical gdn, sentosa or maybe wessex estate. That is if u r into greenary. Changi broadwalk is nice for sunset. Any idea where we can find lalang in changi?
 
I read in a forum that Lalang can be taken along Changi Coast Road & East Perimeter Road/Taken along Keene Road at Tanglin Village =)

My friend had her wedding there 2 years back! Is nice! Oh u taking photo in sg. Have u ever thought of taking photo in pulau Ubin? They have those very nice cottage house, the quarry and greens!

Cocotintin: coincidence my AD on 23 Jul...we are same week jul brides. ;) Where is your dinner banquet and Where will you take your PS? Local or Oversea? My PS will take on April.

ooh my date used to be 23rd July! It seems to be an auspicious date. Unfortunately cannot find any venue with this date and has to change to 8 July.

I booked my venue around oct'10 but my prefer hotel was not available on 23 jul coz taken by other pairs...according to my master, this date is the best for me and my HTB.
So you confirmed your venue?

happy tulip: you are 1 day before me. hehe.. but i think 23 jul is an auspicious date according to the tong shu. my banquet is at goodwood park hote. Will be doing my PS locally, planning to do it after CNY but have not firm up the date with my PS and MUA yet. Are u doing ur PS locally or overseas?

Girls, i think we have enough people in this thread to start a July btb list, so we know each other's wedding date, banquet location etc. Can someone do up a list? I'm not good at this and I dont know how to do it like what the 2011 brides thread has done. Shame on me. LOL!!

JingYing: I do attend Novotel showcase too...too many ppl and difficult to clarify with their staff, thats why we just visit the ballroom but i like novotel cocktail reception spaces.

Clare: I will check with my friend about the consignment wine contact, last time heard they mentioned about this. Will update you a.s.a.p.

Cocotintin: I like goodwood hotel main staircase...huge and elegant..haha...don't forget to take picture on your actual day. We will go to taiwan take PS on April. I should start doing exercise and stop eating too much but CNY is in the corner...how to stop eating? *sigh*...

Ladies, lets enjoy the CNY first and we should start keep fit mid of Feb....gambateh!!!

Hi Poppy, My friend took up the package with Sattine for her wedding about a year ago and the gowns seems not bad. Didn't visit them though. We visited the Aisle and the ppl there are nice. Package prices are pretty affordable too and they are quite open to cater the package to your needs. Flexible with changing certain stuff for stuff that you want. Personally we like their photography but didn't take them up becoz it's located quite far away from our place and since it's an ongoing process selecting gowns and photos we thought to choose somewhere more accessible for us considering we got no car. Drop by the shops and see which you are more comfortable with ? Gowns and photography wise. Hope this little feedback helps

Welcome! My bridal package is from JB. As I'm looking at PS in JB, so it would be better for me to sign there. Is cheaper cos is considered overseas PS if I were to sign in SG.

Just settled my 3dnail art! Would like to share that on your wedding day, your would like to have pretty nails right? I found out there is this 3d nail art that are re usable and need not spent hours doing up ur nails the day b4 ur big day! If ur need more info can PM me! Save time and money!

Hi Happy_tulip, u might like to look at http://www.cynfulnails.com/ if u have the budget to spend on nails. I love her design &amp; service! Very good! And as for the bridesmaid dress, I bought for them cos is from blogshop, less than $30 each. So still okay la. IMO picture taking looks nicer when all are in same dresses. =)

Hey Btbs, anyone of u engaged wedding planner? I am looking at one that can help to design the wedding concept. Wanted to engaged Diary&amp;Design but there are occupied. Arghhhh! Do u girls think is possible to get a planner to decorate my wedding with a budget of 2k-3k? =(

Hi Clare, thanks for compiling the list. Great job.

Karen, I engage a wedding planner for my AD to run the show for me. If you want to conceptualise a wedding theme, they will normally ask for your budget and the theme u want. Decorations are not included in the package.

Oh well, i have contacted Heaven's gift and I got a fright when I see their quotation. Ranges from $9.9K onwards... *FAINT* -.-
 
Karen: I engage wedding concierge. hmm.. To customise a theme with 2-3k budget seems feasible but that is just customization. If u want to include the cost of the venue decor then thats not possible.

You can consider wedding acts, their price seems slightly lower but i feel that they dont have alot of portfolios that i like. The rest like spellbound, wedding entourage are charging sky high for their wedding planning services.
 
Cocotintin: Thanks dear! I have spoken to a few planners. Thank God, I have what I want in mind. So price should be affordable.

Happy_Tulip: I like local blogshop like thetinselrack.livejournal.com or you can try thevelvetdolls.livejournal.com. Both of the time, their dresses come in S and M size. Do subscribe to their mailing list cos their dresses sold out pretty fast like less than 10 minutes? =)

Hi ladies, I just had my gown fitting yday! :D So far so good but probably I am calling back again to see if my coordinator can find the first gown that I have tried before I sign as she couldn't remember it yday.

I am not sure about florist lei... My hotel florist like not very gd lei. No busy to entertain me.
 
Karen: I dont really have a theme or have not decided if i want a theme or maybe i will just decide on a colour theme. But I am leaning towards an english victorian theme.

Who is your hotel's florist? Mine is June florist but I am getting another florist to do up something on top of what the hotel florist provides.
 
hi all, my ad is 17 jul, 176 days to the big day!!

to share what i have accomplished so far....
1) candy bar bags (see pics)
2) thank you cards w/customised stamps (see pics)
3) pre-wedding shots
4) confirmed actual day photographer

going to start preparinng:
1) montage
2) wedding stationary
- back drop to pin guest lists to be placed on different corners of the ballroom
- start thinking of deco for candy bar
3) wrist corsage for sisters
- matching tie or accessories for brothers
4) selection of music for the banquet...

I am viewing my pre-wedding shot album layout today, soooo excited!

One day after mine and you have done so many things already. You having a candy bar for guests before the wedding? Cool !! M sure your guests will love it. Where will you be having your banquet and how did your pre wedding shots go? Where were some places you visited?

yeah.. will have a candy bar with a humble spread at the reception area.. will b holding our wedding dinner @Grand Park City Hall ballroom.... pre-wedding shot @my hotel, and sm nearby places around the hotel, 2nd location sentosa..
