wow... so many of u haf done so many things! I haven go for PS.. haven draft guest list.. haven print invites... Arghh... feeling stress! Better get my butt off and start doing some things.

Gals... ask u all hor,any of u choosing kwa n where do u get ur matching shoes from?
 


Hi giantress.. I bought my kwa shoes in HK some months back. Now I'm contemplating to get a nice red pair of high heels to wear with it instead.
I'm petite and the kwa shoes are flat, so I'm afraid I might look real short in them. :/

Have you girls settled your bridal car and PG+VG already.
 
@ Rainbow: wow.. ur gowns is similar to mine.. i have 6 gowns.. gonna to have fitting soon n PS in 3weeks time too!! where will u be gg for ur PS??

I’m rather short too..personally I find flats with kwa is okay..especially when if feet is small..so cute!..what’s more your flats is already so cute!
I have a friend, his wife actually wore a red adidas sneakers and he actually wore a black one..looks so fun especially there’s a shot of them jumping together !

Well..I have not confirm the weddg car yet,just emailed to two companies for quotation..actually, there’s very few weddg car rental companies and not much choices
unless going for vintage cars. =(

By the way btbs, may I ask if it’s necessary to pay for flower girls,pageboys,bride & groom entourage attires? Should we tell what to wear or let them decide?

caroline: so far all the couples that i know pay for their flower girls or give them like $50 (example) to get their clothes...

giantress: i dun even dare to get kwa coz it look so funny on me.. hahah! i took tea dress instead... :X & no worries.. i haven had my PS too... i think if u dun need those photos for invites its ok.. 2 months b4 AD is alright..

evon: actually complete with most of the impt stuff already. now left with the PS layout to cfm, invitation card, wedding misc stuff (box, corsages, ad program & etc etc...)

my friends asked if i'm going to buy the attire i said i'm ok with it actually but hopefully not too ex man..i saw boys tux set which cost like 80 bucks!and on the other hand,it's not worth to spend for such clothings anyway..=P
i do have some who alrdy have the attire..but..i have a ttl of 4boys & 4 girls! LOL.

also, how much would you give for the ang pao money to each kid?

Krazimitzi - i have seen my pictures already, and they are lovely as it is actually hahahah, the guests list is a one killer! friends are more readily to confirm. but its the relatives! they kinda usually take it for granted. but other than that im actually more or less settled. just slacking and taking my time to source ard the cakes to give relatives, catering of buffet after the tea ceremony, and that piggy!

rainbow - hi rainbow, yesh to think about it its a mere 4 months away only. it may sound like there is alot of time left but in fact to squeeze in ur photoshoot cum waiting for it to be done, meanwhile u still have to make sure the invitation cards are out by then, think of ur guest list etc! u really need to get things organise or u will really panick on the actual day or even the day before. (: JIAYOU!
 
till date im actually still amending the guest list here and there. the things that are not done yet are things like, the cakes, the catering, the angpao box (haven ZHNG), GDL things. thats abt it (:
 
most imptly is to execute job out to ur bridesmaid/brothers to do it and make sure they do it. cause if not it will be redundant to ask them to be ur sisters/brothers in the first place. (:

things like the photo montage, duties allocation etc

What about your bridesmaids? Are they walking down the aisle before you?

yah..I got a nephew & niece and others are ex-colleagues kids..and ive seen them growing up..so in the so many..hahaha! Errrm..don't think will ask bridesmaids to walk down with me..i think the kids will catch the guests attn more..keke.
Should have cheaper tux suit,but I guess it's the quality that's why like 80bucks? Most probably will tell their mum no need to wear so formal,just let then wear shirt,berms,suspenders with a cute bow tie. Girls ask them wear a nice singlet with tutu skirt. Hahah! I think sponsor for shoes also cheaper than those dress and suit..bleah~
 
xue, i haven't decide on my photoshoot location yet... that is also a big headache... do u have any suggestions? i was thinking of national museum but they charge $107 for 3 hrs...

Evon, i had a hard time choosing the gowns... all looks nice but difficult to get a perfect one...

caroline: singlet and tutu was what i wanted until i saw far east selling the exact tutu... costing $59.90, i vomited blood and think flower girl dress at OG might be cheaper.. haha!

Oh evon - looking for a flat now? I understand your pain man. We took so many months before we found something. And now there's the renovation headache. So many things will be crammed into the last 2 months before the wedding.
I'm also trying to settle the invitation cards, church wedding theme, bridesmaids dresses, checking out ID firms, contractors, furniture shopping.. so many things to do!! Left 3 over months!!! *swallow hard*

ya i can understand ur feelings of choosing the gowns.. same s me.. i took the whole afternoon selecting my AD gown n EG but am glad that i found something i like.. cant wait for the fitting soon for PG..

pinkcoral: i decided not to do bridesmaid dress coz i think not impt since im not having them to march in with me.. save some cost.. :X i juz tell them e color theme... heee.... yep, think confirming a place but with the finances... I think we gg to have just 1 bed and buy slowly aft we move in... haha! only need a bed, washing machine, kettle n stove in e hse.. LOL!

yea yea evon..it's at IMM. second level,but there's only pink colour. i asked for white they dont have it. ermm..size wise i'm not sure they have until what age..if you want i can help you ask if i go there again. my office is within that area.

actually i think the bridesmaids wont mind whether will we sponsor the dress right? i believe they have those jiemei kind of dresses bah..

They replied saying new colors will be out soon and they cam show us e cloth sample then we decide e color we want but aft disc it's $26 per dress... Do y'all think it's still ex? And they say they can teach us how to wear it when it arrives.. But I still cannot find outside sources abt their quality lei.. Hhmmm.. How ah... Lol!
 
Hi Evon, I think $26 for a dress is not expensive. Esp when it is a convertible dress which can be wear for many occasion.

I have decide to use peach as my colour theme & sponsor my jiemeis with mani/pedi instead. Just ask them to wear peach colour dresses will do, since all of them has different dress style and shape.

yuki: the dress is actually a piece of cloth with 2 strips but this is better coz it comes with tube... shld be able to fit all sizes lei... hhmm... what's ur usual topshop size?

pinkcoral: the new colors are Coral pink and sweet pink... they asked for my address so i guess all the colors of e cloth sample will reach soon... I haven check with them the exact time it will be out... but i guess soon?

Btw with the convertible dress, i am so tempted to get the dress for some of my JM to march in before me... hmm.. how many do u think is a good number? I was thinking of letting the MC (girl) n e musicians (2 girls) and e JM marching in to wear e same dress.. but i duno how many JM is a good number... hhmm.. coz mine is hortpark so its not exactly a big place...

My AD is on 8 Jan 2011.

Although my bridal pkg comes with photoshoot, but my fiance & I decided to go for another set of photoshoot which is more quirky and unconventional. I love the white short gown I was wearing! I rented it for just $150 from "Dressing Inn Bridal" located at Parklane Shopping Mall #05-11. They have a facebook page. The boss is very nice & helpful, he even coordinated a freelance make-up artist for me =)
 
caroline: gatecrash we are budgeting $388 and separate angbao $8... :X coz we thought if JM they earn gatecrash n we still give too much.. then the brothers very poor thing lei.. LOL!

and i think im not using flower girls.. coz they are my ex students and i haven seen them for a while.. scare that day they shy or anyting (6 and 8 yrs old).. so we asking bf's niece to be ring bearer and some bridesmaid march-in before me...

PS: How many months in advance must the wedding invites be sent out? Are we really really late to start planning now?
 


evon/pinkcoral~ yes exactly why i don't want to wear something different. don't you girls watch glee?? haha must all look coordinated! anyways... my BMs are all concerned they might not be able to wear. just like glee, my BMs are all different shapes and sizes from size 4 to 14... heights from 1.50m to 1.70m... so they would prefer something that they can try... so if i get i will have to get one first for all of them to try, otherwise quite likely it will be a waste of money.
